I must say, this is a nice read, and very insightful, but I feel like I have to play the devil's advocate.

And just how many people do you believe understand the difference between Osama the symbol and Osama the man? Certainly not those who are swept by the sensationalism of the event. People should be smart enough to realize how the destruction of a symbol isn't going to resolve problems, and only rejoice in it for what it is. But that's not happening.

Faces are interchangeable in this case. The face of true terrorism isn't one shown publicly, it's one that works in the shadows, and can assume any appearance when it suits it. The notion of terrorism isn't something you can win over, and while this marks a new leaf for it, it doesn't matter. As long as there's something to be gained from it, it'll keep happening.

This doesn't unite us in the way you'd think, I'm sorry to say. All of what you mentioned will still keep going, and using a scapegoat through terrorism will not bring some permanent semblance of unity. Once the hype is over, everything is still the same.

Ignorance isn't closure. If people need symbol killed each time to feel better, then that's what's truly sad. If they're not willing to face the fact that this just a show to deliver some sense of pride, then that's even sadder. USA's drug of relief, killing someone off to feed some sense of patriotism? Even when it may, or may not solve some issue.

Osama was a criminal, and he deserved to be brought to justice, however. People needed that. And those victims deserved some sort of peace. But there's just something not completely right about it...

I like this. And for a beginner, this is quite nice, and it looks quite clean. I like the text in the second one, and the colors in the first one. But it'd be nicer if you worked a bit more on the fractal/C4d used for the background, I can see you used a filter on it. Overall, quite nice and clean. I wonder what happened to the stock's legs...

    What font is that, btw?

Could they just be bluffing to give Sony a bad rep? Or are they ruthless cybercriminals? I wonder what exactly's going on. I just really really want my PSN back.

I wonder just what exactly are they trying to accomplish, and what will they accomplish.

Gahhh....I tried really hard on this one. I inspected PSD's and tried to work a lot on the lighting and effects, and depth. Can anyone comment, and if you want, give some critique?

    Okay well...

Just as with smaller pieces, you need a concept. It's apparent on the first one that you have a concept, thought could benefit from a bit from some more effects and some thought about the stock's sizes. They look somewhat disparate.

The second one has a lot of brushes going around...Which isn't bad, but the effects don't follow a flow toasted the focal in the case of the stars. Also, the background is somewhat bland.

Overall, it's really cool trying out bigger stuff, good job with these.

Can anyone please say where you get the whole walking heart thing? I'm really thinking it sounds like a bit of a strech. I'm not so sure there are such things as walking hearts.

Much better. That's a nice light source you've got there. You really bring the eyes to the focal point, which is nice. I don't think this particular tag needs to follow the rule of thirds, but anyhow...

The effects looks a bit pre-made, solid...it's like they're not really molded into the stock, and it hurts the flow and immersion. Don't just paste in fractals/C4D's try to make them flow around the stock. Also, the light is somewhat off, since you can see some patches of light here and there but no light hitting it.

Only if there's nothing to gain from it. The only justice served here was revenge, it's kinda a morale booster for America(as disgusting as that sounds). Now, I'm not excusing Bin's actions, as they were atrocious, but this "in your face" attitude is kinda gross. That man probably had family too, the least we can do is respect their suffering. Honestly, I was watching some wrestling thing, and they were prancing like idiots about the ordeal.

There already was a host in his body. So, he didn't turn into a heartless. Also, the whole fake body is streching it a bit, even for Sora's case.
