of course, truly one of the satanic sins is to harm innocents. though swift justice for criminals is in a satanist's eyes a truly good thing. and satanists do not sacrifice humans or animals EVER! one of the 11 statements (or laws if you prefer to call them such) is to not harm a non-human animal unless for defence or for food. and to put it simply satanic culture other than saying we never do any form of herd conformity cannot be defined because we are all individuals in the end. and though our religion uses magic we rarely use group spells except for the building of self esteem because less skilled users can dilute the spell. in another thing we NEVER allow drug use because it harms the mind. though a little alcohol never killed anyone because we live by indulgence not compulsion. cigarettes are a big no and so are illegal substances. though i do not know everything because i am not a priest or a high magus i know plenty and would love to become a priest at one point, again everything i have said is either quoted from the COS website or paraphrased from a quote so anymore questions i would be glad to answer because when one gains information they lose nothing.that last sentence was an opinion of mine. i feel a little dumb today because i went to the dollar store and asked how much a soda was -facepalm-
exactly you guessed LaVeyan satanism which is correct but then again that is one of the only non-christ related church-based religions. i didnt make the religion so really the late Anton LaVey or one of the priests could give that reason other than another correct term would be humanism. the other satanic churches(believe me i know) are just christians playing "bad boys" really. also, you know now that i think about it maybe i almost did become what i hate. but atleast when you get out of the oven,somehow you got out i suppose yes the term satanist is used from religion because in the 60's when it was revived we first merely mocked christians but thats over now and also, the term satanism is used to keep undercover bible-beaters away from us.

Ok... I back and i have read all questions and seeming misconceptions. Satanists do not believe in god or the named satan/devil. we worship a "satan" of sorts but its man's carnal nature, primitive instincts, and desires. we are in a sense athiests but we recognise ourselves as our own "gods", that and we practice a few occult practices and some magic. and again im not pushing anything on anyone in the post where i was quoted i said "IF". meaning if you did want information to formulate an unbiased opinion. but i will say i appreciate everyone so far who posted, for the simple fact that they have the nerve to defend their opinions and beliefs and for that i tip my hat to you. now i will say that many of you i believe were raised in an environment that tought satan=bad satanist=worse and through that you get your opinion, but it is your opinion and i respect that. and once more i am sorry if i came off a little strong or pushy. I am sorry in advance if this comes off as a bit of a rant but. I am fully sick and tired of people,bands,and annoying bible-beaters(no they are NOT people) talking absolute crap about satanists. We are not bad people, sure we are not the biggest fans of christians(obviously), but we do not do anything wrong. I and others have become sick of people bashing us. i swear the next person who comes up to me with a bible trying to "bless(brainwash)" me i will cram that bible where it belongs and light it on fire...... Ok. i am done ranting but i would like to hear everyones thoughts(unbiased please) on satanism, on that note, ANY AND ALL BIBLE BEATERS WILL BE IGNORED BECAUSE THEY ARE TROLLS. but please let me hear your though because i am curious on everyones thoughts. also if you want to know where to find true information about satanism please just pm me
