He was willing to listen to what the nocturned was saying about what was going on for some peak of curiousity had him alert and willing to hear this guy out. He glanced at her wondering if she was going to attack him or not, but as long as did not provoke her, she figured he would be safe. Cloud starred at the other young man waiting for him to respond. Demyx smiled as he walked closer to the warrior gesturing his hand that he was not going to hurt him. He eyed Larxene's actions and nodded his head for he knew what he was doing. "To simply put it the organization could use someone of your talants for I have searched your mind and find that you are troubled and are battling some darkness in your heart. Rather then run from it, embrace it and let it work for you. You see I'm not darkness or light and we share a similar goal. My friend and I all about surviving as I can see you are too otherwise you wouldn't be looking for work." Cloud was puzzled that his stranger seemed to know his every thought and he began to take in what was being said. "Yeah, I do battle with the darkness and I'm looking for work, but I would like to know more information and how do I know this isn't some sort of trick?" Demyx knew this guy was clever, but also he was beginning to reveal what he expected from him. "I understand you're willingness to doubt a nobody especially a member of Organization XIII which you probably have heard about, but that is our goal to become complete. We're not doing it just because we feel like it. We have no choice," he shrugged his shoulders. "First off if you decide to take my offer, I would need to test you."

"You heard me didn't you?" he asked his sword still drawn and held up. "I'm not in the best of moods right now," he warned the stranger. Demyx obviously could see through that and he waved his hand at him. He was hestitant of that huge sword that was facing right at him. "I don't want to fight and I know you are looking for a work and I have an opporunity for ya," he watched him lower it. "I'm listening," Cloud answered and kept his focus on him as well as the female organization member. He was not in the mood to play games, but he would hear him out.
