I don't tend to buy bad games. So I don't really have a list. I think I bought one bad game expecting it not to be so great but I can't remember what it was. If I did buy it, I know it was cheap so... My bottom game of yester-gen however has to be: Spoiler Skyrim Where do I even begin? Okay, so this is an RPG. So let's look at the main story. We have the main character, the Dragonborn, who's out to slay some all-powerful dragon who's resurrecting other dragons from the dead. Okay, not the most original story out there but it's a classic theme. Chosen one out to slay a dragon. So after a bunch of forgetful "walk here and do this" with no characters you ever care about and who mostly all look alike to me, we end up in some otherworldly place to fight the dragon. The Big Bad. ...And it's a boring fight. It barely behaves any differently than the other hundreds of dragons you've fought by then. You just whack it to death the same way you would a regular guard. (Well, I enjoyed slaughtering guards.) And now you've killed the dragon! HOORAH! What happens? As it turns out, absolutely nothing. Not even a credit roll. Nobody thanks you(despite all sorts of Jarls saying they would when it was all over), there's nobody waiting for you when you finish the fight, you just get a "Quest Completed" notification. I wasn't expecting any masterful writing but the handling of the main story and final boss fight just seemed so lazy. Wasn't this supposed to be some kind of epic game of the year? Okay, so maybe the story is a bunch of garbage. What about the other larger quest chains? Thieves Guild? The Companions? The Brotherhood? Outside of using different setpieces, they're all pretty much the same. Whoever's in charge gets killed and eventually you take over said group. Yup. Just like that. The other quests? Those are just fetch quests or "kill X number of baddies at X location". What about gameplay? Well combat is awful. Fighting random enemies? Melee is just about the most boring option to use. All weapons feel like they have no weight. Nobody really flinches when you hit them. Same animation when you attack, very little variation. Fighting large enemies? Whack their ankles until they die. Fighting dragons? Wait for them to land and whack anywhere to win. There's absolutely no point in having enemies larger than yourself if all you can do is whack away at whatever you can reach. Magic all pretty much acts the same. You got spells that you hold down to continuously fire and you've got spells that charge up with a little startup time. Admittedly, the magic system is at least decent. Archery is...passable I suppose. And then we've got the option to use a third-person camera mode. Why was this added? The animations are barely on par with the generation before it. Looking at it makes me sad. So what about music? GRAPHIXXX? Okay, so Skyrim's pretty. On any platform. Oh and nearly unplayable on the PS3(dat infamous bug) but let's ignore that. It's a little bland but that's okay. Skyrim's supposed to be like that. Music? Outside of the main theme and that chanting going on when you learn a new Shout, was there any other music? I certainly don't remember any. Oh, except for those songs bards sing. Character customization? Freedom? Map size? Character customization's a little...bland. There's very little to do to make your character look decent so you're usually stuck with ugly characters. And unless you're really good at enchanting, the only armor you'll be wearing late-game will be the same as everyone else. I can give the "freedom" the game gives you a lot of credit. You can whack everyone to death(boring), you can snipe them all with a bow(it'll get old after the thousandth time), you can use all sorts of nifty magic, or you can sneak around. Or you can try and get creative and do a mix of those things. So that's a plus. The map itself is large but I felt that everything was just a bunch of copy/pasted set pieces when you were looking for things to do. So there you have it. Skyrim. The perfect example of a game with too much fluff with none of it being very satisfying. If you want an example of a game with a similar story of slaying a dragon but want to have a lot of fun, play Dragon's Dogma. It might not offer many enjoyable sidequests and it might seem bland at first glance but, in my opinion, it's superior in every single way. It might even make you hate Capcom just a little less.

Goofy. He doesn't afraid of anything. But seriously, MP Gift is infinitely more useful than Donald's spells in late game. Donald's pretty useful when he casts Aero or Cure but outside of that, Sora's outdamaging both of them by so much that you don't really need anything more than a steady supply of MP.
02 "To be honest, I couldn't have controlled it on my own." Caius said he was different, but Soren thought otherwise. That bloodlust he was speaking of, Soren was born with it. Maybe it had a different source but he could relate to holding back something dark. "I'm stronger when I'm in control of it. I have my sister to take care of." He lowered his voice to a barely audible whisper adding in, "And Cal..." Soren sighed out and stood upright, looking down at the younger boy. "I get scared too but I won't let that or my anger get in the way. I can't afford to be weak. Not when when we're so close to leaving." Mist swirled around Soren's hands for a brief moment before vanishing as quickly as it came. "You just need something to focus on. Something stronger than hate." He had his focus, two very important people to him, for overcoming his rage. Soren smirked and held out his hand down towards Caius. "Come on. We need to stick together." "Good." Anna nodded at Cal once she had been assured Cal had no intention of hurting her brother. She was right to trust Cal and was glad to have a friend like her. Anna's eyes followed Cal as she disappeared behind the folding wall to change. It was then she brought up her brother. Anna raised her eyebrow and Cal continued by saying they would all leave. Mali seemed to take it as a joke. "If my brother says we're going to leave, then we're leaving." But Mali was right. Who would be waiting on the other side? Soren didn't like Alistair and she couldn't say she disagreed with her brother's opinions on the adults. This was a bad place filled with terrible things. "We don't need anybody else." Anna stood up and walked over to Mali. "We have each other and we're going to stick together. Cal wants to leave. So does Soren and I'm sure Caius does too. I don't want to be here anymore. If you want to stay behind you're going to be alone." She glared at Mali. Cal's half-sister wasn't nice ever since she came back from that place, but it didn't mean she going to let her put down her brother's--their plan.
08 "And I wanted privacy when I spent days training here. Gone before anyone woke up and back when everyone was asleep. It helped me get my act together. Something tells me that you need something else." Soren continued to walk closer to Caius, stepping over the corpses as he looked over the changes the boy had been going through. It seemed like his powers were manifesting. It seemed a little late to Soren but then again, Anna had taken even longer. Once more, Soren forced himself to look beyond the violence and try to piece together what Caius might have been going through. Daddy issues? Maybe, but that didn't fit with what he was seeing. Soren crouched in front of Caius and glanced back over at the fallen demons. He had no idea how to approach this so instead of asking Caius what was wrong, he went for a different approach. "I think I've spent my entire short life doing this kind of damage. I hate demons but at least they're where they belong. Even if Alistair, Lu, your father, and all the other angels around here hadn't done anything bad, I'd hate them too. This whole time I've been driven to kill them all." He sighed as a small blade of mist materialized in his hand. Soren tossed it at the nearest corpse. "As for us? I know we shouldn't exist and the darkest part inside of me wants to..." He trailed off. "I don't know how to make it go away but I manage it. If I didn't keep it under control I'd end up hurting the few people here I care about. We need to stick together. Especially if we're going to get out of here anytime soon." He didn't want to bring up any plans on leaving to Caius, but Soren knew that with everything that had happened to the boy with his father... Anna smiled at Cal, sitting by the blonde as she put on the locket. She swung her legs out and placed her hands on her lap. "I'm happy you like it. I think Soren went to bring Caius back. You can thank him too." At the entrance of Mali she waved despite the girl's attitude problem. Anna looked at the door where her brother had left from and back at Cal who was still covered in a blush from what Soren had said earlier. She took it to mean that Cal and her brother actually kis--Gross. She didn't want to imagine her brother kissing. Anna shook her head to get the image out. Still, she was curious about what was going on between the two. "Do you like my brother? I mean it's kind of obvious what he thinks. Soren's bad at subtlety." She lowered her voice so they wouldn't be bothered by Mali. "Like-like?" Anna scooted closer. "I won't tell but I want to know you aren't messing with him." She narrowed her eyes. Even if she trusted Cal and even if Soren was the one trying to keep them together, he was still her brother and she didn't want to see him hurt.
10 Iris followed behind Henrik as they headed out of their room to gather with the others. According to Leon, several of their number still didn't have their weapons. How many trips would they have to make to get them? Last time he checked, London was still overrun by all sorts of baddies. It wasn't a problem, but if he went back there it only meant leaving Iris behind again. "So we're splitting up again to gather the last of those weapons, right?" Henrik crossed his arms, turning his head to try and get a peek at the compass to no avail. Why was Joslyn hiding it? Was she afraid someone would openly try to break it or did she want to make sure nobody knew exactly where it was pointing? Then again, they had not been led astray so far.
13 Soren smiled back at the girl, Anna already beginning to snicker as Cal blushed at him. "Hey..." He turned towards his sister and coughed, motioning towards Cal. "Anna has something to give you." "Actually, it's from Caius and I. It was his idea. I helped...a little." Anna stepped closer towards Cal and placed the small package with a white bow at the blonde's lap. "He wanted to thank you for looking out for him." She glanced over at Soren and poked at his side. "And I thought I should thank you for keeping Soren from becoming more of a jerk." "Really? I'm not that bad." "Not anymore. Especially since you two have been having fuuunnnn~" She teased in a sort of sing-song manner. Soren could only frown at his sister and shake his head. "Anyway, open it up Cal." Soren rolled his eyes and patted Cal's shoulder, whispering that he would be back once he got something done. Caius's bed was already empty. Was it like that when he woke up? Maybe Anna had gone to sleep just before the boy had left. "Maybe I might not miss next time. Or not." Anna blinked at Soren only wondering what her brother meant but he knew Cal would understand what he said. Seeing as how it was a two-person present, Soren felt as if he had little choice going out to look for Caius. If he didn't Anna and Cal would and he would much rather be the one roaming about than either of them. Even if Cal could take care of herself. He looked around in the hallway, wondering which way the boy could have gone. He doubted Caius would go back to his father given all that happened. He had never seen or heard of Caius going to the mirror room either...though he didn't exactly pay attention to all the details. Maybe that was his favorite spot. The more his thoughts wandered away from Cal the more he was reminded of that burning hatred for everything, including himself. He swallowed it down, knowing nothing good would come if he could not keep it under control. Soren was born angry but he knew he was stronger when he wasn't letting anger guide him. He couldn't afford to be weak anymore. Like a bad force of habit, Soren found himself staring at the entrance to the training room. He cursed under his breath. He was supposed to be looking for Caius, not looking for an excuse to train. There wasn't anything to be gained by fighting weak demons anymore. It wasn't enough. Still... "Might as well." He nudged the door open slowly expecting the room to be empty. "Caius?" And that was the first thing he saw. Aside from several dead demons. He stepped towards the boy and stopped before getting any closer. This was his first time speaking directly to him. "It looks like I missed out on the fun." Soren hardly sounded excited with his joke. Caius was on the floor, bloodied and in tears, and all he could do was make a stupid joke. Once more, Soren cursed under his breath. "Are you alright?"

"Wakey wakey." Soren sat up slowly and blinked several times as he stared at the figure sitting on his bed. He covered his mouth as he yawned and scratched his cheek, his drowsy mind finally piecing together that it was his sister who had disturbed him. "Mm?" He began to rub his eyes. "What happened between you two yesterday?" She whispered. He froze, lowering his hands to stare blankly at his sister. He knew she could not have seen and it wasn't as if Cal told Anna about it. He opened his mouth only to close it and think over what he would say. Would Cal be upset if he told his sister what they were doing last night? Or would she be offended if he tried covering it up? "Um..." Anna grinned at her brother. He did not have to say anything for her to put the pieces together. "Cal and Soren sitting in a tr-" Immediately he pressed his hand to Anna's mouth to keep her quiet. "Did you wake me up just to tease me?" He looked over at Cal glad that Anna had not woken her. "Don't bother her about it, okay?" Anna nodded and Soren lowered his hand. "What is it?" Anna held up a small box that was wrapped neatly with a white bow though as Soren opened his mouth to ask her about it she answered the question forming in his head. "It's not for you. I want you to wake up Cal so I can give this to her. I think she'd be in a better mood if you woke her instead of someone else." Anna tried to wink but it only ended up looking like she had some kind of twitch. "Caius was making her something and I helped." "What's it for?" "To thank her. For taking care of Caius and you." Soren blinked in confusion. "No, I won't say it's from you too. Otherwise I'd have to lie and start saying everyone pitched in. Mali, Lu, Alistair, Regulus...the demons..." Soren continued to eye the box. Where did Anna get the materials for that? Let alone the stuff for Caius to make a locket. Without even asking, Anna knew what was on his mind. "I don't know about Caius but I can be resourceful when I want to. The bow's actually a bunch of thread I took from the surgery room. Threading it together to look nice took me forever. I wrapped it up when everyone else was asleep." Soren was about to speak up on his concerns of how Anna even went about that and that she should not have been going out at night when it was dangerous but the fact remained that she was unscathed from her little trip. He sighed and agreed to wake Cal much to his sister's delight. Soren pushed himself off the bed and walked over towards Cal's with his sister trailing behind. He hesitated to wake the girl. Everything had gone so well last night that he was afraid Cal would suddenly start pushing him away. She was happy after they kissed but what was he supposed to do from then on? Did that make them more than friends? With his sister pushing him to wake her, he didn't have much time to think it over. "Hey, Cal." He gently nudged her shoulder. "Good morning, sleepy."

"What are you reading?" Henrik looked up from his phone, putting it away, as he watched Iris come to sit by him. Between trying to train and the constant moving the group had been doing, it was difficult to keep up with any kind of news. He shook his head to try and dismiss Iris's question but she only responded by giving him a look of concern. "A bank was robbed back in Chicago. Given its scale, it's making international news." "Was anyone killed?" "One of the thieves was killed by another in their gang. Some woman was shot in the leg too." It hardly seemed relevant to them given that they had more important things to deal with than heists but something in the back of his mind bugged him about it. Henrik believed that with what Lei had told them about their power, he was feeling on edge about it just because the criminals deserved to be punished. There was a second story going around about something in Arkansas but with so little details Henrik felt it best to not worry Iris about anything more. "Life goes on. It can be easy to forget that when we know what's coming." "I know..." Iris didn't seem to be in the mood to talk any further so the couple turned in for the night after getting settled.
[/url] Milo turned his mask over in his hands as the report came in on the news about his perfect robbery. He grinned, turning off the tv. His colleagues were all laying low, except for "Green" who was now in a police body bag. Their escape from the bank was far from modest to say the least. A hole had but cut straight down through the bank's roof, which was not an easy feat as it took months of preparation in order to get it all done in under an hour. The structure was weakened and the roof was blown away with previously placed small explosives. None of their hostages became casualties which was a plus but it was not exactly a goal. Once the roof was in ruin "Supes" and "Aqua" (who were lucky enough not to need to wear masks) flew in on a helicopter, dropped some lines, and flew the surviving league out. The man clasped his hands behind his back as he walked over to his window, staring down at the city below. Four million. That was their total pull from the heist. One for himself and three to split among the remaining five. Milo sat down in his chair with the perfect view and soon fell asleep knowing with absolute certainty he had made it away clean. All that was left was to snuff out his gang and claim the rest of his money. Lauren Time Lauren had done nothing truly eventful for the rest of the day. Despite seeing the shadow figure appear every now and again. It was starting to drive her insane. There was a point where she saw it standing over by a wall and she threw her shoe at it. It only responded with the shadow disappearing and Alice scolding her for throwing projectiles. Lauren sat in the room reading a book, which only made Alice stare at her in complete confusion. Lauren seemed to be staring intensely at it. After a certain point she turned to her and giggled, "I like the word defenestration." Alice looked at her confused and asked questioningly, "Defenwhat?" Lauren turned back towards the book and spoke, "Defenestration. It means to throw something out a window." Alice blinked and tilted her head, "Interesting..." Lauren let out a small chuckle and put down the book and collapsed on the bed. She stared thoughtfully at the ceiling and spoke, "Alice... am I really a idiot?" Alice opened up her mouth immediately to speak before Lauren cut her off, "Be honored." Alice stared confused and replied slowly, "Honest you mean?" Lauren stared at her and covered her face with a pillow, "Is that a yes or a yes... or a no?" Alice grabbed Lauren's head and placed it on her lap and played with her hair, "You are a very nice girl but you are a little slow at times." "But I am a fast runner!" Alice stopped everything for a moment and then kissed Lauren on the head and spoke, "You're an idiot. But you are my idiot." Lauren blinked at her and grinned, "That makes you the dumb one then." "Do you want a divorce?" "Ah no! No we are good." After a few more minutes of senseless rambling, then two fell asleep.
Soren allowed the rose to fade into thin air happy in knowing that Cal liked what he had done. He folded his arms and watched as Cal dipped her feet into the river wondering what was the worst that could happen by taking a swim in there. His curiosity died off when Cal said it would not be a good idea. He scratched the back of his head, thinking it over for a moment. It was true that they had no idea if it was really safe for them. "You're right." She placed his hand on his shoulder as she pulled her feet out of the river. Soren smiled at her and looked at her hand, reaching over to take pull it off. "It was nice." He agreed. Soren hoped that Anna and Caius would be asleep by now so the two would not come searching for them for being gone so long. He stared down at Cal's hand in his own going quiet for a moment. "We should do this again sometime." Soren scooted closer towards the girl and eyed her. A lot had changed since they first started getting to know each other. For one, picking on Cal turned into them doing something like this. Unsurprisingly, Anna had been right about why he had been acting that way towards the girl. He wouldn't admit being wrong to his sister but it was a good feeling. One of the only good feelings he ever had. If Soren had not begun to control his own anger he would have just thanked Cal for being with him and left. But even that had changed. The anger was still there but he felt something more than that. More than just a fondness for Cal. Soren took a deep breath and moved closer to Cal, pausing as his free hand clenched his leg. It stung how cold his hand had become now it was going to betray him and show how nervous he really was. Soren leaned closer still to the blonde before touching his lips to hers briefly, pulling back to whisper quietly, "Sorry. I missed your cheek." A quiet but almost forced laugh came. "No...I'm not sorry. I wanted to..."
Skyrim might have been pretty good if they ditched anything combat related. Animations and combat itself (let's play whack the unflinching enemy a million times) are terribad. Skyrim managed to make fighting dragons boring. Fighting anything larger than yourself devolves into smacking its legs until it dies. If you want an example of dragon slaying done right, Dragon's Dogma is where it's at.
Blue and yellow is a great combination. The yellow however is a bit...well, it's everywhere. It's a nice change of pace from having white or blue links everywhere but something about seeing yellow for almost everything just looks wrong. I'll get used to it though...eventually.
So I guess I'm the only winner this year? Great. Already downloaded the stocking.
They're not. Roxas is Sora's nobody. Ventus was never a nobody. That's like saying Vanitas and Sora are the same person. Anyways, it'll be nice to get some new info soon other than a repeat of what we pretty much already know(like there being games after KHIII).
Anna shook her head at Caius's compliment, laughing to herself. "Thank you." The boy seemed to be glad upon hearing that Soren was not truly angry with him. She knew what kind of impression her brother had made and was happy that she could at least comfort Caius. She looked once more at the trinkets on Caius's bed when he offered to give the locket to Cal together. "Really?" She smiled at him and nodded quickly. "I'd like that." Anna picked up one of the pieces and held it up towards the boy. "Where would this go?" She asked, eager to help. His eyes focused on the large marble doors even after Cal had pushed them open. He had rarely ever been this way and even then he had never put much thought to what was beyond these doors. He regretted never having gone through them until now. The River of Fire seemed to be the main source of light around the area, the flames appearing to have some kind of liquid quality as they actually flowed like water. Unlike Cal, Soren had never seen a river, he had never used the mirrors for such a purpose anyway. Cal knelt down and began to reach for the river. Soren quickly stretched out an arm to keep Cal from touching the fire, freezing when she only smiled as she dipped her fingers into the rolling flames. He went over to kneel beside Cal as he held his own hand over the flames and rather than feeling searing heat there came a comforting warmth rising from the river. Soren had never imagined something so...nice could be in a place he hated so much. He brought his own hand into the flames and smiled back at Cal. "I don't know anything about romance." He admitted, though Anna did once mention that girls liked flowers. There weren't any flowers around and he had only seen a picture of them once so he was unsure of how Anna could say something like that. There seemed to be nothing he could actually give her. Soren sat down and crossed his legs, an idea coming to mind. "But maybe there is something I can do." Mist trailed down Soren's arm and condensed into the palm of his right hand. He closed his eyes as he visualized what he wanted to make, it had not been the first time he had created something with the mist, but it was the first time he tried anything like this. He opened his eyes to find that the mist had now begun to rise into jagged shapes as if they were broken shards of glass. Soren shook his head and willed the mist to flow closer to the center of his palm, rising into a stem as rounded petals began to take shape leaving a monochrome flower resting in his hand. Its form was not exactly stable as it continued to waver about as if it would dissipate at any moment. "I'm sorry I can't give you the real thing right now." Soren sighed and looked down at the river. "Maybe we should take a swim." He suggested, only partly serious.
Really don't like how it looks on mobile. I have my phone set to display the desktop version of the site but I still can't see the last thread posted in within sections. Plus there's this whole thing with online members being displayed at the very bottom of the forum page.
I found Riku's links to be flashy but with little to no damage buff and no invincibility frames(whereas Sora is always invincible with his links), they were pretty lackluster. Even Command Styles were more useful back in BBS. Sora's may not have looked as cool but they were, as everyone else has said, pretty overpowered.
Sora's clothes look blacker to me. Looks like there's a higher contrast? I dunno. I haven't played KH2 in forever but I am more excited for this than I was for KHI.5.
