If it wasn't for the fact that Lucifer was by far the most powerful person in Hell, Soren would have outright refused to go. Unfortunately, he knew he had no chance of defeating an angel such as this. He had no idea how long it would take to become strong enough to kill Lucifer. It probably numbered in years. Many years.

Soren shifted uncomfortably in his place between his sister and Cal. None of this felt right. When his sister heard the words "Bonding Ceremony" she said it sounded like a wedding, another word which he did not know, and when he asked what it was she merely told him to ask Cal. Anna snickered as she said that which led him to believe they were two very different things.

Apparently the one Lucifer was hosting this ceremony for was the female angel he had seen before. It took him awhile to recognize her as such because of the way she was dressed. Being cleaned up and free of so many tears helped that too. Admittedly, she looked pretty...but sad. Soren couldn't help but feel bad for her even though she was an angel. This all felt wrong and left an uneasy feeling in his stomach.

The child was more cunning than he gave her credit for. By now she was already just asking to be smacked but there was no time for that. It was either be stuck wherever he was or take another journey through the mist portal. As he jumped after Mali, Araquiel hastily reminded him to grab onto the girl lest he die in the mist due to--Henrik didn't listen to the rest. Knowing how to not die seemed to be the most important thing to keep in mind and as he entered the mist he grabbed onto Mali. This was by far his least favorite form of transport. Well, second to the least. Henrik hated "smart cars" even more.

Not the two "main-est" characters, Machina and Rem. For a long while it was thought the canon ending was the really happy anime-style high school bonus ending where everyone's alive and everything is awesome normal because there's no magic crystals around. Then later on that was revealed by the director...that it was just a "what if" ending. At least, I think that was said. It's been a long time since I've read anything on which ending is canon.

Anyways, Square's actually pretty much finished the localization of Type-0...except for actually localizing it. For the longest time we've been hearing that voicework for the English version of the game was finished. Oh well. At least we're getting a fan translation. Only available for hacked PSPs though which, unfortunately, mine is not.

Henrik eyed the obsidian blade Mali had just placed on her belt but made no reaction towards her gesture. "I don't have any way to trust you." Despite this, the offer she gave out was tempting. More than tempting as he was seriously considering it. Not once had the other angels tried to aid him in getting his children out of Hell and it would only be just if he were to use that baby as a bargaining chip.

"How do I know you can even do it? That wasn't your portal we went through. That was Lu's." Henrik turned his blade over in the fading light, watching his own reflection on it. "I've seen you fight, kid. You've only seen me at my worst. So you're at a disadvantage here." Henrik eyed the blonde girl once more. "I'll make you a deal. Hand over that baby, take me to my children--nowhere else, and when you've held up your end I'll give you the kid back and leave you alone. Come on, it's not like I can make a run for it."

Been a long time since this thread got any news. The fan translation of the game is almost complete. It'll be out August 8th of this year. Operation Doomtrain, the team working on this, even released a trailer for their translation.

Well I'll be damned. We're not in Hell. Now what, genius?

DAMN IT! Henrik looked around the new area but there did not seem to be much around to tell him where he was. The place was a wreck. No doubt that this was the Dark Angels' doing. He had assumed that's where Mali was going. After all, why would Lu want to send this child to some town like this? He sighed out heavily and watched as the girl hurried off into one of the few buildings that was still standing, albeit barely.

    Well? What now?

There was nothing else he could do but follow after Mali and take that child away from her. With Mali having nowhere to go he took his time climbing the stairs as Araquiel continued to pester him. If you're so set on finding the twins why don't you just hang around Mali and the baby until Lu pops up to ferry them to Hell?

And what? Ask to hitch a ride? Just like that? Henrik pushed the angel to the back of his mind to avoid being bothered again. Upon reaching the third floor he found Mali and the stolen child. "A little young to be playing mommy, don't you think?"

"Ugh..." Aiden opened his eyes slowly feeling as if he had just awoken from a nightmare. He blinked several times as he tried to gain some focus. He scratched the back of his head wondering what had just happened. Whatever dream he had must have overwritten his memories of the previous day but unfortunately he could not remember his dream either. He sat up in bed as he racked his mind for a few moments for answers.

Coming up with nothing he soon gave up and got out of bed. Aiden quickly got dressed and took notice that his name was the same as the username of the person typing this post. Funny coincidence. In any case, once he was ready he left his room only to realize he had no idea which class he had today. He turned around to head back into his room when he noticed something strange written on his hand.

    105. Science.

He sighed. Science wasn't one of his favorite subjects. It wasn't hard but he always preferred getting things done with his hands rather than...well, that. Aiden shook his head and took his time getting to class finding that the halls were quickly growing empty. Figuring that he might end up being late, and he did not want to be chastised for it, he picked up his pace.

Henrik was ready to jump in and fight alongside Richard. There was little more he could possibly want than to see Lu dead, for good, with a thrust of the obsidian blade but as Alistair stepped in things quickly got more complicated. Mali took this distraction to make her escape with the child. He knew where it was headed. He would likely never get another chance to make the trip to Hell on his own.

Without putting any thought on how he would return to the others, to his wife, he ran past the demons and jumped through the dark portal just before it disappeared. This was his one chance to get his children back and he was not going to miss out on it.

Well, it's better than hearing Somnus for everything when some new trailer comes out for the game. Then again, we haven't heard it since the title change. Just looked at the tracklist and there's Pain the Universe from Legend of Mana. So excited.

"What a sad way to go!"

Oh Inafune. You're the best. I didn't know there was more to be seen from that alpha. Hanging off a ledge seems neat but I wonder if there'll be wall climbing like in the X/Zero/ZX series or if that'll be an ability you steal from an enemy to go along with Beck's transformation powers. Still, the death animation looks pretty explodey. I like it.

Almost immediately after he had spoken up Cal tried to get him to leave, grabbing him by the arm and tugging him back but Soren held fast, glaring at Regulus. He glanced over at Cal seeing tears streaking her face. Whatever Regulus had said, it hurt her. "Mock your son all you want but in the end it's me standing here, not him. If you want to hurt us so badly, don't bother with words. Unless you're too weak to fight me."

Unlike the usual taunting tone Mali put up when she insulted or threatened others, Soren's words held no lofty air about them. They were serious and calm. Soren took in a deep breath and stared at Cal. He didn't need to get involved in a fight. There were still more important things he could do than waste his strength on Regulus. "Don't bother us again. I'd rather Caius kill you but I'll do it myself if I have to." With that said, mist began to swirl around both himself and Cal. When it vanished the two were already back at their room.

"But she said she could take care of herself. Same goes for the others." Soren responded to his sister. He had intended to follow after Cal but hesitated. That was when his sister came walking by, apparently having heard some of what the two had been speaking about.

"So? It's not like you to listen to anyone. Besides, just because she's not helpless doesn't mean you should leave her to wander about when there's still dangerous things around."

"I'm pretty sure she wouldn't have a problem killing stray demons."

"There's still angels around here. Like Regulus. Remember him?"

Soren nodded slowly and crossed his arms as he stood silent. There was so much he wanted and so little he could do about it. Maybe the only thing he could do was make an escape with his sister and Cal regardless of the details of what else he wanted and Cal's reluctance. "What do you think I should do? What do you want?"

"I want to leave...You know that." Anna sighed and crossed her arms in the same manner as her brother. "Go after Cal. Just don't make me watch you do that again."

"I-I don't know what you're talking about. Besides, she said-"

"Uh-huh. Go on. It's better if you did something that wasn't brooding. The more you think, the harder everything gets." She watched as Soren looked off to where Cal went then back at her, still hesitant. "I'll be fine. Go, rush in headfirst like you always do."

He hated to admit it but his sister was right. He had been thinking too hard about everything. It was about time he got something done. Soren ran off after Cal and in seconds he caught up with her. He had expected her to be farther along but the reason why she had been so easy to find was clear. Regulus was speaking to her. He didn't really catch what the man had said but it was clear he was up to no good. He stepped forward just a few inches behind Cal.

"Did you come all this way looking for a fight?"

Break a crystal and you'd be returned to before you broke it once you're done with the "normal" ending. There's not really any downside.

Soren frowned as Cal spoke, her words giving him a painful sting. He wanted to tell her she was wrong, that he was going to fight for Mali and Caius but that would only be partially true. A powerful sense of hatred had not died down within him. He hated the angels for bringing them here and for tormenting them. They needed to be punished. Soren stared at Cal's hands, pulling away from her grasp.

"You're half right. I still want to make them pay for everything that's happened. But..." He didn't want to argue. He knew he would lose. "They push. I want to push back harder. They take away our own. I try to run after them. I guess...it'd probably end with everyone dead and you being alone. I'm sorry. That's not what I want to happen."

"Fine... Do you know what I want?" Soren paused for a good while as he thought of what he could say. "I want to stay with you. I want--well, I can't think of any words that describe what I want right now." Soren frowned as he tried to find the right word for it but it escaped his grasp. Words like that were not ones he had ever thought to commit to memory so instead of wasting further time trying to tell Cal what he wanted, he decided to show her instead. Soren leaned closer to kiss Cal.

"Don't talk about the nephilim that way." Henrik glared over at Hana who had just arrived. With what Lu did to him before his children were born, he was sure that they would be in the same category as what Hana would call "abominations". "Would you call my own the same if it were them who were here instead of these kids?" Whatever the case was, he refused to fight the nephilim. They were children and this wasn't their fight. They were dragged into this by angels. If anything, the fallen were the abominations and the nephilim their victims. As angry as Henrik was he knew that they he couldn't waste time arguing about it. Saying nothing more to Hana he turned his attention back towards Lu.

"Keep the nephilim out of this, Lu. You can't be so afraid of us that you need to hide behind children." They outnumbered her a great deal but that hardly mattered. Lu would never admit to them being a real threat in any number. "We're ready when you are."

Soren had expected Cal to ask him not to go or to accept that he was doing it to bring the others back. Instead, she pushed him out of her way and headed out the door, obviously hurt with what he said. Soren glanced down at the mirror again, watching as things only got more tense between Caius, Mali, Lu, and the angels who were there. He didn't bother listening in to what was happening. They would have to wait just a little longer. He put the shard away and took off after Cal. "Don't go anywhere, Anna."

"Not like I have any place to be..." Anna sighed sadly watching as her brother and Cal left, leaving her alone.

"What do you want me to do then? Not bring them back? Just say the word and I won't leave you but Caius and Mali are in trouble." Soren stepped in front of Cal and held her arms. "I don't want you getting hurt if something happens to them. I also don't want you hating me if I didn't do something about it when I could..." He stared at her and stepped closer. "I'm not abandoning you." There wasn't any way for him to protect everyone. Now that Cal was upset several new things came to mind. What if, while he was gone, something happened to her? Or his sister? What if he couldn't do anything to save Caius or Mali? Here at least he could do something. He was unsure of what he could do. He promised to keep them together and that seemed to be a hair's breadth away from becoming impossible.

The only thing he was sure of was right in front of him. "Would you rather just leave? You. Anna. Me. I can't be everywhere at once. I don't know what's going to happen to Caius or Mali but I can stay with you and Anna. I don't want to leave you."

A boy suddenly jumped into the middle of things and swatted at the mist Richard was using to keep Mali from running. This boy, Caius as he heard, was nephilim. It seemed every nephilim child starting to show up save for his own children. Henrik drew his sword as soon as Lu approached. "Using children as your tools, Lu? Just when I thought you couldn't sink any lower." Henrik eyed the angel holding Mali who seemed to have stolen a child. Yet another nephilim. Obviously Lu was planning on taking the child too just as she had done with Soren and Anna. That was not going to happen. Not this time.

"It's about time you died, Lu." Henrik tightened grip on Nakah. What? You want to fight already? Fine. Don't get me killed.

So here's some exciting news though it doesn't deserve it's own thread.

The producer of this game, Masaru Oyamada, wants to make the next entry in the mainline Mana series as the 25th anniversary is coming in 2 years. What do I mean by "mainline"? I mean, Seiken Densetsu 5. He wants to make it a retail game too.

Is this likely to happen? No. Is it impossible? Not if Rise of Mana is popular.

Note: The last main Mana game to come out was Dawn of Mana(Seiken Densetsu 4). That was at the end of 2006.

Soren returned to the nephilim room after a shorter session of training than usual. He kept it light as he only needed to stay sharp, not tire himself out. He also needed some time to work out some frustration. Both Mali and Caius were gone now and he was beginning to believe the only way he would be able to keep them all together was if he followed after them and dragged them both back. He glanced down at the glass shard he had. Why did Lu bring Caius with her? Why did they use Mali to fight other angels? He knew the answers to both questions. It was because he would refuse to help Lu. He refused to be some pet and allow himself to be told what to do and when to do it.

"I need to bring them back." He spoke as soon as he entered the room.

Anna, who was already up but still laying on her bed, turned over towards her brother. She raised an eyebrow at him and sat up slowly as she put a hand over her mouth and yawned. "Lu and Alistair are there. So are demons. And other angels who might not be very friendly. I don't want to lose you too."

"I'm stronger than the demons and faster than the angels." In an instant Soren appeared by his sister's side with a faint wisp of mist flowing off his sides. "Besides, I'm not stupid. I wouldn't go there to pick a fight."

"What about Mali? Even if you get Caius, she's still inside that place with all those angels and she wouldn't want to come with you." Anna folded her arms. "There's only one of you. Besides, what if Caius-"

"Gets Mali out of there? One, I'd have a better shot at it and two, Lu is just going to manipulate him just like she did with Mali." Soren sighed and stared down at the glass shard, cursing under his breath. He should have told Caius to keep away from Lu at all costs. That she would resort to anything to get him to do what she wanted. Their plans for getting out of Hell and staying aay from its allies was now pushed back because of the younger nephilim. Cal had been willing to leave Mali behind if it meant not having to fight her but adding Caius to that list was just too much. Soren had already promised they would stick together. He took in a deep breath and headed over towards Cal's bed. "Cal. I need to go after the others."

Henrik woke up groggy and sore. He sat up and blinked several times trying to shake off his daze. He pulled off the bandages on his arm to find that his wound had healed and, miraculously, the discoloration of his skin had vanished. You can thank Richard for that. On second thought, don't. Angels don't give thanks to other angels. Henrik scratched the back of his head as he got out of the bed, nodding slightly at Araquiel's voice. He would have asked Richard to get rid of the mist but his strength had been waning so rapidly that he never got the chance. Despite what Araquiel said, Henrik decided to go find RIchard to make some kind of attempt to show he was grateful. Though he would miss having an extra power it was hardly anything he couldn't live without.

Though not at his best, Henrik had more than enough strength now to get around without getting nauseous
. Mali was not sulking in her usual spot either. The girl must have gotten away while he was asleep. No. Her scent is still near. Look a little harder. It still bothered Henrik that Araquiel could pick up something like that. It only meant that the angel had spent lifetimes hunting nephilim down for the sake of his own self-righteousness.

In any case, it only took another minute of searching before he stumbled across Richard confronting Mali.
"Be gentle. Nephilim or not, she's still a child." Henrik turned towards Richard. "Thanks." That was all he had to say. Even before the whole angel thing, Henrik was far from being a very sociable person. Just thanking another person was something difficult for him to say. "I'm doing a lot better now."

    Watch_Dogs

So here's some info regarding Watch Dogs' delay. The full interview is a bit long so I'll just put up some of the highlights.

    • Polishing a game this large takes lots of time. There were some things the developers could not anticipate without getting this far into development. They needed to get their hands on a build of the game to tweak it which, of course, takes lots of time.

    • No, the game wasn't broken. They could have released it as is but there were things they just wanted to improve.

    • Ideas that were put to the side were implemented back into the game because the developers felt like the game needed those. A new ability Aiden has is a hacking function to get into someone's headset and play a loud high-pitched noise which would be useful in combat and other situations.

    • There have been UI tweaks mainly regarding multiplayer.

    • Watch Dogs is confirmed to be at least 20% more awesome than it was when we last saw it.*

Full interview here at Ubi Blog.

    * May or may not be accurately quoted from the interview.
