Well for starters, a keyblade is "more alive" than ur ordinary weapon as it chooses its masters. And I'm pretty sure you know by now that it can be summoned by will, unlock locks, free hearts and stuff. Those pretty much ARE their special properties... Now physically, they are much easier to wield than something like a gunblade. Example: Sora wielding Ultima which seems hefty and long is almost the same as wielding something that seems small like rumbling rose with power and effect being the only main benefactor. Aside from that, it's quite compact as it comes from "keychains" which could easily b attached to your belt instead of sheathing it or something like that. Replying to your question about whether your better off with a gunblade or keyblade, it really depends on the person. However, in my personal opinion, a keyblade would b a better choice considering how it lacks in power are made up with the other functions it has which an ordinary gunblade does not possess. Hope that clears up some stuff...

Well...I'd like to consider bout other's personal opinion first, but in this case... I think you should work on shading and proportions for both...they look flat. Make it a little more 'round' if u no wat I mean cuz the entire body for both pics seems quite straight. (looks at Kakashi's arm for example) And I can see that you're trying to add some depths in color around Kakashi's vest, try spreading it out some more.
