"So in other words the boss is cheap," Demyx pouted in his seat. "He's the one that is in charge of the school."
Demyx walked out of the room for a moment wanting to be alone, his tail dragging across the ground. He was afraid to turn back. Afraid to show who he really was in front of the stranger. He didn't trust him. What if he was sent by the retrievers? He had to be at his strongest state and that was in his dragon form.
"All right Axel. I'm just waiting for all you to finish is all," he leaned his chin on his right hand and yawned.
Mostly it is ignorance and pride.
Cloud was getting fed up with this Mixt character, but what was attacking him going to prove? He remained calm listening to him speak and now he felt he needed to set the record straight. "I stayed back and watched the ceremony because I didn't know what was going to happen. I was not going to put myself into a situation where I didn't know what the outcome would be. Any one would have done it." He scraped the blade on the ground making a horrible screech like nails on a chalk board. "You know nothing for you are nothing as nobodies claim to be so spare me your lecture of who I am stranger." Demyx had to speak up to let the Superior know that he was mistaken. He wished Mixt would stay out of the mess with Cloud for he did not want any fights to break out. "Boss you know I couldn't do that. It's a shame that I lost a dancer too. I just wanted someone to look up to me and she was in human form." He cast his eyes down at the ground and then brought himself to look at Xemnas once again. "No matter as much as I hate to admit it I have no where else to go and the only ones that understands me are this organization. I was created for a purpose and I have to accept that, but while doing so I don't think there is anything wrong with enjoying the life I have now as who I am now. And that means making the choices I choose to, and enjoying what life has to offer. There is nothing wrong with that is there?"
It just all depends on that certain character and his or her own goal. *shruggs* That's the way every individual in real life is.
I know it's a matter of opinion.
That's the whole idea. Demyx is naturally confused for he decieves himself thinking he has feeling and emotions as we all know and Cloud well he's...
He brought his sword forward warning Xemnas to back off. "Not in the way you did it. All you did was destroy one of your own. What matters is that the nobody had become human and then perished just so you can prove a point to your slave. You could of handled it another way. And yes Demyx is your slave for he is forced to listen to you and obey or otherwise be destroyed himself. Why the hell would he not trust you? It's because he's afraid of losing his existance to you. If he had it his way he would free from all of you." Glaring at Mixt he pointed his buster sword to him. "And you who ever the hell you are. I do my job to protect the innocent and right then at that second when that dancer did become human it was my duty to protect her, but failed to. So you keep your mouth shut. You don't know anything about me so who are you to pass judgement on me?" Demyx looked down at the ground shaking his head feeling defeated. In his mind he knew Cloud was saying the truth, but he wasn't going to admit it not with Xemnas present and other members of Organization XIII there. All that mattered to him was his own survival.
Cloud stepped forward ignoring Mixt of what he spoke of his fists clenched as he starred at Xemnas. He could not stand here without saying anything any more. He wasn't made like that. His problem was with Xemnas not Mixt. "Why so you and the rest of your so called family can make him feel like dirt? "Enough! Stop making him feel bad. He has more heart than your whole organization combined. If anything he will get his heart back before any of you because he acts like he cares and gives a damn about others. You all should learn from him, especially Axel and Larxene the ones who tried to kill my friend Leon and I." He looked at the moon and then at Xemnas, hatred for him building by the moment. "He actually went out of his way to help someone he didn't even know. He offered to help me find Leon and I work and when you refused he gave me his own munny in return for he felt sorry for my situation. He's the only nobody in this cloaked gang that gives a damn about others besides his own self." Demyx stood still, frozen like a block of ice not believing Cloud was standing up for him. No one had ever done that for him in his life. He was now concerned for Cloud's safety as he let the words sink in. "I don't know what to say?" He said to both Xemnas and Cloud.
Demyx didn't want to come to terms of what Xemnas was saying. What kind of consequence was this? He swore the boss had unusual ways to get his point across. And unforuntely a nobody was lost in the process. He glared at Mixt and then looked away choosing to focus his attention on Xemnas. "No! I do not need any more blame. You're the one that did this to her not me. You're the one that did the ritual," he cupped his hands over his face. "How could you? You knew what was going to happen all along didn't you?" He took his hands away from his face and gripped his fingers. "You should have never done such a thing if you knew what would be the outcome." Cloud tried to keep his anger in check, his fingers gripping the hilt of his sword tighter. "She did not deserve that and you know it. You should never do that with any of your subordinates. I've seen enough," Cloud growled underneath his throat, inhaling and exhaling, as he closed his eyes to calm himself down.
Demyx was kneeling on his knees, his head down as the one who was his dancer and a small girl had vanished before his eyes. "No! I can't believe she's gone. She never even had a chance," he slammed his fists to the ground attempting to be strong. "I want you to try again. I want her back," He stood up and faced Xemnas. "I was going to show her so many things. It's not right. I was going to actually have someone look up to me, some one I can teach, but now..." He couldn't finish his sentence. Cloud stood up, his head down as he felt the comfort from Leon's touch. "I tried and I thought I could make a difference. If I couldn't save her from the darkness or from what ever happened to her then I really am falling more into the darkness," he said to Leon. He starred at Demyx shaking his head. "She's not coming back."
He finished his meal and leaned back in his chair. "That hit the spot," he kept his focus on Xion who was admiring her reflection in her glass. He did the same in his own glass and touched his mullet playing with the spiky parts until he was satisfied. Bringing his arm down from his hair, he watched what the others were doing. "Who wants dessert?"
His left foot moved as he was coming back to consciencessness and would soon realize what had happened to him and what was going on. He opened his eyes, through they were half open as his vision came to focus. He starred up at Axel and Larxene. "I'm thirsty." He coughed from his throat being parched.
"Guys the important thing is to help Xigbar," Demyx explained to them. "Can I get you anything?" he asked the senior member.
He looked at the people as well and then picked up a small menu to look at the desserts. "We could have cheesecake, or chocolate fudge cake or a slice of coconut cream pie? I'm thinking of the coconut cream pie, but I would like to have my own slice. We can split some icecream instead?" He felt he was stumbling over himself getting hung up on his words.
He placed his laptop away back in his bag with a blue lock on it after zipping it up and sighed looking out the window. "Why couldn't we have had charter buses instead?" He frowned.
"What? You want me to drive? Um okay," he sat in the driver's seat and waited for the others. "Did you say seven hundred miles?" He didn't know how to react from that.
Demyx emerged out of the steam filled room, all fresh and dressed once more. He felt a lot better then he noticed that the door was open chaning his mood a bit. Going downstairs, he noticed Xion was standing there ready to leave the hotel. "Come on Xion. You don't need to be out there," he took her hand.
"What? No! What is happening?" Demyx ran over to her and caught her in his arms as he tried to think of a way to save her. "No this can't be? Why is she fading away? What is going to happen to her?"He shook her and then shook Xemnas trying to get him to wake up. "Boss, explain what is happening to her?" He continued to shake him. Cloud knelt over to the child and reached his hand out, producing a bright light that penertrated through her eyes. He kept his breath still remaining calm as he focused hoping that the light would bring her back from the darkness from whence she was going to. He patted her back, rubbing it slowly. "She should be fine now," he tried to reassure Demyx.
