I didn't care too much for the protagonist either. He had like...one decent scene(when he was on the subway offering to take that kid back to his parents). But at the same time, I didn't care for any of Pacific Rim's protagonists either. Since I grew up watching Godzilla movies(and before watching the new one I sat through four old Godzilla movies to get in the mood) and the one common theme among just about every Godzilla movie ever made is the fact that Godzilla is there about 10% of the time. The difference this time was the fact that in the new movie, Godzilla gave one of the coolest FATALITIES to another monster I've ever seen. Hng. That moment when he uses his atomic breath for the first time. That scene alone completely crushes anything I saw in Pacific Rim. Not to mention most Godzilla incarnations would have no trouble destroying a Jaeger. >>
I thought Godzilla was leaps and bounds ahead of Pacific Rim in every way possible except for music. Neither had memorable music. But then again, they are movies so it's not really a minus.
BBS and Chi. BBS's version felt the most somber and Chi's...just is one of the most unique variations of it.
I felt like Pacific Rim was just something to kill time until the Godzilla movie came out.
Before I clicked the spoiler I figured out what they were by their name. Unpleasant indeed.
Merlin's the best wizard ever.
Yo dawg I herd you like URLs.... Just had to start with that.
Of course I know that(I'm an amateur musician myself). Every musician is influenced by another. Though I don't see what any of this has to do with what I said. Covers and remixes are nice when they add something new or build on underdeveloped ideas of the original song. They're just usually not interesting when they keep to the same style, genre, instrumentation, and feeling of the original. That being said, I've seen plenty of "rock" remixes of KH songs(and hundreds of other songs) that just aren't good simply because they're pure transcriptions of the originals. I'm extremely opinionated when it comes to music. Maybe a little more than what's healthy.
Significantly? Not really. As I said before. The songs pretty much have the same feeling as the originals. "Revamped" doesn't really mean much. Especially considering that the originals weren't some old timy 8/16-bit songs. Also, I still don't think people should make money off remixes. It just feels wrong. But if it's legal then well, there's nothing legally wrong about it.
So, Unity is getting heists before GTAV. Just found that amusing. Not a fun of the HUD though. Minimap is not so mini and there's no need for the health bars to have symbols next to them. Actually, I don't see a need for health bars of your teammates to be on your HUD. On the plus side, this game's looking even better than the PS4/One version of Watch Dogs. EDIT: Well here's a link as to why the characters speak with a British accent instead of a French one. Basically, because the Animus is translating for you. So it just doesn't make sense to have English spoken in a French accent. There are plenty of moments of French being spoken in the game though so you can walk around Paris and hear civilians speaking it. So Ubisoft's answer is pretty much what everyone should have been thinking anyways.
Given that you'll have to install several gigs of the game onto the PS4, load times will probably be pretty fast. Or maybe just one or two long load times(maybe for worlds) with next to none in between.
Hm... exchange small talk now and then? Yes. What's the point in being in a relationship if you can't bring up random crap that comes to mind(like how much Country music sucks)? Or mention how the weather's been terrible lately? keep abreast of each other's daily lives? Pretty much the same reason as above. If you're in a relationship with someone that isn't purely physical then you better give a damn about their day. Doesn't mean you have to ask if their sandwich at lunch had too much meat in it or not(unless you want that sandwich). share and/or discuss interests and hobbies? Doesn't seem like two people need to share many hobbies or interests to "click" but both people should at least be okay with listening to the other's stories of said interests or hobbies. I'm a musician, gamer, and I'm really freaking good at anything involving math. But that doesn't mean I need to date someone that has any of those qualities. have core life events in common that you can talk about together? Um...not really? You can talk about things you don't have in common with someone. Unless it's too traumatic to bring up. EDIT: Forgot to add this but the little, mundane, things are important in a relationship. At least for me. Mundane has it's own charm.
I'm always confused when covers/remixes of songs are sold by people who have no affiliation with the original artist/composer/record label/etc. No matter how much work you put into it, it's still not original. I don't believe any artist should ever make money off remixes/covers unless it comes with the added bonus of their own original work. That being said, I'm listening to a few of the pieces here and I'm not too impressed. I'm not usually a fan of rearrangements because they often don't add much to the original song. They all fit within the same "genre" and feeling of the originals so they're not really adding anything new musically speaking. If this had been done in a different style like jazz, techno, metal, heavy metal, power metal, progressive metal, metal just makes everything better okay? ...Well, if it had been done with a different feeling other than trying to preserve that found the original songs, it'd be much more interesting. The tracks aren't badly done. In fact, they're very well done. They're just not interesting.
Kendric frowned. He hoped that what Tal had said was not true. It would be too disappointing if what was in the box had been nothing interesting. It would ruin the whole mystique of the thing. "Well...whatever it was, I don't think we'll be finding out any time soon." He sighed out and watched as Tal's little dragon began to eat a piece of meat she had given it. He smiled and shook his head. "What's his name? Chompy?" He avoided asking about how she managed to get her hands on a dragon whose fire-breath had not been bred out. There was a person or two he knew that were able to- The doors leading out of the hallway creaked loudly as Kendric shoved on them. "Does your power only work on guns, Daimon? Or have you managed to try it on other things? Oh! It'd be great if you could make food with that power! I had a cousin who could do that...but it always ended up tasting like gryphon hide. It was gross." Kendric took a deep breath of the fresh outside air and shivered when a gust of the brisk air rushed by him. He scratched his chin thoughtfully as his mind went to less important thoughts of food and using magic to transmutate things into food. Magically made food never tasted good. Though there were some restaurants in Belnuru and his homeland of Eridis that claimed otherwise... He shrugged and headed outside motioning for the others that opted to join to follow him. "Come on!" He called out as he took off out of the courtyard. Every year he had stayed away from the celebrations. It seemed so silly to celebrate the end of generations of war when they should never have happened in the first place. But today was different. He could just feel that it was different. The air was filled with a presence that he could not put his finger on and, whatever it was, it compelled him to change his mind just this once. The main road was lined up with impatient children and spectators waiting for the parade to begin. Several students from Zenith's academy who took their exams early or opted out of the Trial were always present in participating in the parade. Cass noticed one girl in particular who rushed past him, seemingly unable to control her own shapeshifting power as a pair of inhuman ears popped out from under her hat. Judging by her colorful wardrobe she must have been one of the students actually taking part in this...thing. The sounds of cheering filled the air alongside a dull rumble in the distance. The ground began to vibrate as the rumbling came closer and the cheering intensified. Cassian gently pushed his way forward through the crowd accidentally bumping shoulders with a blond boy. "Sorry." He muttered as he tried to get a better view of the scene. As expected, the parade started out with the marching of Zenith's uniformed law enforcement. A cascade of various shades of blue and green began lighting the streets and coated the surrounding buildings with an aura reminiscent of the ocean. The light itself emanated from the very men and women who were marching forward. Shouts of names came from the crowd. Family calling out to their sons, daughters, husbands, wives, brothers, and sisters who were waving at the mass of excited faces. Cass couldn't help but smile faintly as everyone else's joy rubbed off on him. He pushed his way further through the people and ended up knocking against another blond boy who he had not noticed was sitting down. "Sorr-" He raised an eyebrow. Hadn't he just done this already? Noticing the faint glow about the blond he realized what had happened. "That's an interesting gift you have." He spoke an amused tone as he continued on his path.
Well, the coop feature that was in the PSP version of the game won't be making it into the HD version. There were some things tied into it that, I'm guessing, will be made available through other means in Type-0 HD which is a plus(for those who hate multiplayer and didn't want to use it to get locked rewards) and a minus(no multiplayer) in its own right. Also, the development team is still working on figuring out how to implement the "secret training" from the original version where you could level up a character if your psp was asleep while the mode was active. I personally used it to max out a few characters' levels. Source: Siliconera
I don't really have anything to say about this trailer. I'm excited for Unity...and pretty indifferent to Rogue.
Added a new character. Also updated the Mythos section in the RP thread.
Now. Witness Inafune's skill. Race mode seems pretty fun. Explosive barrels look like the best way to troll the other player.
Manami Matsumae, Mighty No. 9's composer, has a favorite song out of the ones she's worked on for Mighty No. 9. Mighty No. 2's stage theme. Here it is: Fun fact, Mighty No. 2 is female. Edit: Mighty No. 9 is giving beta access to backers tomorrow. One stage will be available. This will eventually extend to three stages. That train stage looks like it'll be my favorite.
