To answer your question, the alphabet that we use in algebra is mostly the common letters A, B, or C. Such as if you have to find the area or perimeter of an object and it has letters in place of the sizes of the object you much simplify the equation to find out what the number for the letter substitution is. :=D: If that does not answer your question, you may ask another if you so wish.
