Indeed, you need a better render. And the text is kinda weird. The rest is just OK.

First one: 9/10 Something about teh size is bugging me. And I think the glass of the render shines somewhat too much. Text looks cool in this one:) Second one: 7.5/10 Final form sigs never seem to coem out the best for some reason. The background is good though the orange blends too much with the hair. Text needs changing too.
This one is great. The background looks awesome and the render goes well with it. However the text would have to go somewhere else, most likely to the right. There's also that brush you used on the bottom of Riku that doesn't fit too well. 9.5/10 with the changes probably.
6.5/10 I don't like the color contrasting with such big vectors. With that diff and maybe a bit more work it'd be perfect.
9/10 even though I have two small complaints. First is the text. Second is the small blue lines on each side of the render. They make it look like Paint. Good job otherwise:)

Aww, don't take it like that. Everyone did that to me when I showed my first sig but I got quite some help from it:) The background might look pretty if you showed more of it;)

Lolz, I guess I'll go straight to the point: For me, the render looks kinda big and fills up too much of the picture. Second, the text is illegible... Third, I no this is your first time but the background is a bit too basic and the white blotches are too big. Continue trying and I might be able to guide you one way into making better sigs.:) Overall its a 5/10 Good first try though:) Mine was way worse.
