I wish I could do that and not gain a pound. I ate an omelette with a banana and I feel like just returning it all.

    This

    And this

is why you should wait. No one outright said or decided 'premiumship will be taken from some' when then are some workarounds to that. The first post is still missing a lot. People are still giving lots of divided opinions on the matter. Not only on this matter but on the idea as a whole.

Your first post isn't exactly encompassing all that was said in the other thread. Wouldn't it be best to hold out a poll until everything is actually laid on the table and everyone knows all their options? Just a thought.

You are presenting the point of perks again. Which can be solved by adding new perks to premiums. However, Rainshine and Makaze brought over another facet which I feel is the bigger point. People want to feel special (to which I presented another point)

I think everyone wants to see the forums active, to be honest. But both with new and old faces. Maybe making a usergroup will keep the older members wanting more and posting for that reason. But once that happens, inactivity will be a thing again.

A new usergroup will be shiny and nice. A novelty. But it will not increase activity in a manner where one could say it makes it super better aside from prems. You're also proposing premiums (or nobles) sacrifice username color changes. I don't think that will go over well. It may go well the first few times, but then as more people join the noble or prem rank, they're going to want a color change.

This makes sense to me now. But I wasn't of the mindset of simply adding perks. You said it best yourself, overhaul. But needless to say, I understand your point now.

I am not complaining, merely bringing up a point which should be smoothed over beforehand. You're proposing a single color. I'm not sure people would be too keen on that? It would work, yes. But as you said, it wouldn't be very popular.

You mean more activity in general? I sort of addressed this a few posts back? You can have tiered stuff as long as it isn't system related. Meaning usergroups not made with vB. Gonna give silly examples to try ad get my point across:

As you can see my point gears around color/rank. My point doesn't really invalidate the incentive aside from color.

The claims of elitism part was a point a few members mentioned in the thread. Emphasis on claims. I don't know personally if it happens or not.

I read it. It just felt more like a personal opinion? So I wasn't sure if that was the overall view.

Easily definable status? Is that the overall reason behind this new usergroup? I thought it was to try and increase activity. But even then, activity from premiums? Because I can see a sudden activity rise from premiums to try and get Noble status. But then there's really no point to having premium other than it being a tier. Thereby not really needing much in terms of perks or even a section of its own. It'd be deader than dead (more so than now)

And then color polls. Not only would premiums need to bear in mind the colors of staff but also those of Nobles. Which would be a nagging problem considering how prems are with their colors. Lol.

And you can't really know if an increase in activity within the premium usergroup won't increase premium activity in general. Just like keeping premium requirements as is wouldn't really defeat the purpose of the suggestion. At least not from this particular standpoint I'm presenting.

Strictly speaking, my vote on the poll would be no. But it encompasses so much more than that.

Like how this would affect the username color polls. Or how status would be affected. It is not a no on the sentiment, but on the usergroup idea.

Perks and ideas to be employed? Yes Plz. I just don't understand why those milestones cannot be within the premium color itself. Just no more colors. It's bad enough when a color poll in the prem section happens. Lol.

Plus, you'd avoid a bigger fraction of the claims to elitism involved. Because then the perks would be internal and sub-divided. I realize that making tiers through the system is impossible. But anything else we do on our own is fair game.

Then we also have the fact that premium wouldn't really be needed as anything more than an in-between. Just posting thoughts here and there.

I have one question. Why do we need another usergroup, and instead not add perks to the still barren Premium usergroup? Wouldn't focus shift from being prem to being 'Noble' and prem would just be an in-between no one would care about because it's just a stepping stone with perks that in comparison to noble, aren't very appealing?

Why not just have a member council sort of thing instead of new usergroup that adds to the already high number of colors and color debates (color polls wahhh)?

I agree with adding more perks and more cool stuff. I just don't see why we need to make another tier color/rank. That's just my question on this matter.

What you consider nitpicking is sometimes things which you all overlook due to your stances. And that's fine because we all have views. But you can't paint opposing views on a suggestion as bad simply because they disagree with you. If anything, this sometimes helps pull the suggestion up and makes it better (as you can see from everyone here presenting pros and contras and building up the idea)

And the second point, if that had any semblance of truth, we'd still be in funky 2.0, We wouldn't have pins, nor a podcast and the list goes on. So please, kindly stop trying to paint staff as an entity that refuses to change because that is not a truth at its entirety at all.

At the end of the day, they're just opinions they feel they can post in a suggestions thread. If you see a staff member post another point of view, don't immediately assume the idea will be turned down. A person posting a counter-argument doesn't necessarily mean they don't like the idea or that they don't care for it.

    /2 cents

Also here, this could help for reference if anything. I'm still reading over the thread overall. Somethings I really like. Others I don't exactly agree with.

Hoping to post more later :3

Shadowjak. Stawp. Wat. Are. You. Doing >///////<

I don't mind apologizing in public. But I'm trying not to drag issues all over the forum because I shouldn't even be arguing with members in the first place. Plus privately people can avoid the whole 'right/wrong' thing and just talk.

But yes, I do bitterly regret the exchange in this thread. It's not really how staff as a whole acts. I just didn't read into the situation properly. I'm not expecting pity or sympathy. Just a bit of...solidarity. Idk.

shadowjak what have you done. Now excuse me while I go jump off a cliff.

And that's fine. I didn't mean to offend anyone. I apologized because I didn't gauge my reply correctly. What's your point? That I should grovel on the ground and beg? The idiot thing wasn't you, though.

You clearly knew? No you imply I clearly had the ultimate grasp of the situation. I was making fun of the reactions, yes. But I didn't think it was gonna bother people so much. I apologized for it. I don't see what else can be done beyond that.

Yes, as unbelievable as it sounds, we aren't turned on in 'work mode' 24/7. And if you expect that, then let me break it to you. It's all flesh and blood here.

Umm, I didn't really mean anything harsh by it. My bad. I just find it a bit funny to be so mad about it is all? I don't really mind if people don't want to be spoiled.

I'm not the one implying people are idiots. But I'm sorry if it came off that way?

And to this. It's personal opinion. If I'd known it bothered so many people I wouldn't have posted it? I certainly didn't expect to be met with a harsh reaction. So sorry. Sheesh.
