I mostly play the headless (brown with white pickups) since that one feels the best in my hands than all the others combined. Honestly, I prefer the pic like this because guitars are beautiful pieces of work.

Now I want to see someone replace Sora and co with Noctis and his bros for this boxart. It's a little funny that Donald, Goofy, and Lea are on the cover given how little screen time they receive.

Really don't like that remix. Doesn't fit at all. Other than that, some of the cuts were a little too fast to really absorb anything but...the worst thing of all is the delay. I'm sure it was done to keep out of the way of XV seeing as how much is riding on its success and the hype around it would probably curbstomp most of the interest in 2.8.

The scenes, as always, look lovely. Can't wait for this.

Kytheria? Strange name but at least she had a quite simple nickname to go by. By the looks of it, she wasn't a bad shot with that crossbow either. Quick to aim and steady on the trigger, Kye had silently taken down a member of the undead. Silent save for the now-familiar "squelch" and crunch of flesh as the bolt hit its mark. After finishing the job with a machete and ripping the arrow out of its mark she put it away. "You should clean your arrows before doing that. You don't want that gunk messing with your crossbow."

When she pulled out her compass Gareth remembered that he had not introduced himself yet. Despite being uncomfortable with giving his name out to someone who was still a stranger he knew that there was little harm in merely giving a name. "
You can call me Gareth. I don't go by any other name." He spoke bluntly. While Kye got her bearing of the location Gareth looked around and kept an eye out for any signs of movement.

    "
No, I haven't been there in some time." He pulled his rifle off his shoulder to keep ready for the next encounter as he followed after the girl. "Can't imagine there'd be any survivors back at the city anyway. Nothing but dead inside I'm sure." The farther they the walked the more he could pick up a foul odor in his nose. Burning flesh. Not one of his favorite scents. Still, he had a strong stomach and ignored it the best he could. "Better burnt than moving." Gareth added in response to Kye's reaction to the reeking smoke.

The sound of grass crunching a short distance away made Gareth snap and sharply turn towards the noise as a man stepped out from behind a tree. If there was one thing he disliked more than the scent of crispy flesh it was surprises. The barrel of his rifle was already pointed at the chest of the newcomer. By the tone of his voice he didn't know Kye so at least it wasn't an ambush set by the girl.

    "
Sneaking up on someone is a good way to get shot." Gareth eyed the man's hands to make sure he wasn't about to pull a weapon on them as the last thing he needed was someone killing his best chance for making contact to...anywhere.

If it's real, it makes me sad. I know there's unpaid internships around the US but that kind of thing should really be illegal by now.

Intern for 200 hours so the company can "earn back" it's investment from an unpaid internship? Sounds like trash.

Let's hope there's enough demand for a Kingdom Hearts movie. Though I wonder if it'll be a new story or just a retelling of an old one(like a movie based on KH1).

His power would be too great and he would have to be taken down. So no, if only to save him from being defeated by the Chosen One.

I knew that Ace would be chosen since he's the poster boy for Type-0 and for his unique playing style...but it's sad that the more important characters (Machina and Rem) weren't picked instead. Oh well. It's not like they won't add more characters later and expand after the arcade's release or the eventual PS4 release.

A few bits of information have popped up during an interview with Tabata at Famitsu. The game is roughly one-half open world in the beginning and one-half linear for the end section. Though "linear" sounds pretty vague here since it doesn't seem to imply that you can't still explore. Just that the story doesn't spread out anymore.

Also, the season pass doesn't cover all planned and future DLC. Just the six DLC pieces announced so far. Not surprising giving how much money Square needs to get out of this game. Also, the Prompto VR thing is its own...thing. Doesn't seem to be the same thing as the "Episode Prompto" DLC that was announced.

Also, a few extra minutes of off-screen footage from the Master Version of the game:

Flashes of fire and screams echoed in his mind as Morrigan gave him one last soulful look of the acceptance of her fate. Not again. She did not have to say a word. Everything she wanted to tell him was clear in her gaze. Her smile had almost given him hope that she would make it out alive but the sinking feeling in his stomach told him that it was only to ease him into letting go. Soon, there was nothing left of her. No trace of blood and no signs of there ever having been a body. All that was left of her was...a tree.

Ash fell backwards, having lost strength in his legs and he stared at the thick bark that now stood before him as it finally dawned on him what had happened. Magic like this was not Titania's doing. The air had not been filled with Morrigan's screams and pleas for mercy nor was Morrigan's death ever something Titania had wanted. The Queen had wanted Morrigan alive for her plans and would have disposed of her body like trash when she was through with it. But this...this was a tomb. His eyes moved towards Titania and Gaia who were already beginning their battle. Gaia had resorted to killing her own granddaughter just for the sake of keeping her out of the hands of those trying to use her. Though Gaia and perhaps even Morrigan might have seen it as an act of mercy, Ash had not given up on saving Morrigan when Gaia pulled the trigger. Now it was too late. Far too late.

He knew it was time to get out of harm's way before the collateral damage from the battle grew but he stayed put for a moment longer, his gaze now focused on his burnt and bloodied hands. If Morrigan had died in any other way Ash had been ready to incinerate her remains so that nothing could remain. Now even that choice was left out of his hands because of Gaia's magic taking care of the deed. There was no Morrigan to cremate. How would he even begin to mourn her? He did not know. The first time his beloved had been taken from him he had spent years seeking out revenge and became so efficient in his killings that only one other being left alive could ever attest to his actions. Titania was sure to die by Gaia's hand but who would be next if he chose to take that course of action once more? The boy Nick? Paragon? Or even Gaia herself?

There was nothing left for him here. Staying to die in the crossfire between the two most powerful fairies was not going to accomplish anything. Ash rose to his feet slowly and gave the tree one last look knowing no words he had could undo what was done. Just before he turned to leave he said the only thing he could. The words sounded hollow to him as if spoken by another.

    "Goodbye, Morrigan."

Gareth kept ready in case this girl tried anything suspicious despite her caution around him by keeping her hands up. She was definitely not the cold killer sort of person. "I'm looking for someone, aye." He responded gruffly to her inquiry as he shifted his weight from one leg to the other. Though her words were not very encouraging a busted radio was better than the empty shell he had found earlier. "Are you from around here?" Reluctantly, Gareth slung his rifle over his shoulder to get the girl to relax. The fact that she was still tense around him was only going to make him more anxious...and that would lead to far too much tension for the situation.

The man scratched his chin and eyed the journal in her hand. It must have been what kept the girl sane after having been alone for so long. As for Gareth, he hardly needed the company these days despite knowing what merits it had. "
The fact there aren't any patrols left may be a good sign. It brings less attention to the area. Less attention means less roaming gangs looking for weapons and less food for the infected." Gareth folded his arms and glanced in the direction the girl had come from, guessing that it might have been where her camp was. "Lead the way."

Saw the movie yesterday with my gf (who's never played a Final Fantasy before). Overall, it was a great experience and I don't really have much to say about its positives so I'll just narrow down on my minor complaints on the film.

    • Some of the animation on the people felt a little off. It looked a little unnatural at some parts but I can't put my finger on why. Faces dipped in an out of the uncanny valley but the further into the movie we got the more I got used to it.
    • I know Luna is a princess but she felt pretty useless and underdeveloped.
    • Sound mixing was not good in a few areas. The music overpowered character voices. Speaking of which, General Glauca and particularly the old Lucis Kings were hard to understand when they spoke because of the effects used to modulate their voices.
    • When compared to the final fight in Advent Children, Kingsglaive's last battle is harder to follow. It has a greater scale and a bit more of an epic feeling but it's just hard to see the swordsmanship of the two fighters.
As for the plot, some parts are a little hard to follow but it's still really enjoyable and I'll be watching it again when I get my UCE in two months.
