Older Sora Reason why is that this Sora is much more of a valiant example of a fighter / friend. I mean, sure, he gave it all he could in Kingdom Hearts, but the new Sora was much stronger, and had a perfect ego. Younger Sora is a kid who loves to protects his friends at any cost, and the Older Sora will do anything within his ability to save his friends. Just goes to show the older you get, the more of a person you become. And that expression is used rather perfectly in Sora's age difference.
