Sometimes, cropping an image a certain way, can make it 10x better. For instance, my avatar. I could have had it zoomed in more, but I chose this cropping since I believed it felt better.
Anadi rolled her eyes at the Neoshadow that decided to impale itself on Jackie's sword. More heartless turned to attack at Anadi making her lift her keyblade and hit them away. In the midst of the attacks, a Neoshadow arrived and slashed at Anadi. The attack connected and slashed at her boot, scuffing it. "Tch." she went, hammer her keyblade on the monster. It disappeared into the ground, not completely beaten, making Anadi put her keyblade away. All the heartless seemed to have wandered off. Turning around, she saw they were beset on Jackie. Running forward, she stopped when the heartless all compacted into a ball and were crushed by Blanc. Frowning, Anadi was feeling rather jealous that he had such cool powers. Maybe if she had trained more with her parents, Anadi could have learned powers as cool as Blanc's? Shaking her head, she walked to Jackie and Blanc. Behind her, Anadi heard crows cawing and multiple heartless were being eliminated. Her eyes rested on a strange fellow with....wings? Beside him was another guy that looked disgusted or very cautious. She couldn't really tell, to be honest. The winged fellow introduced himself as a being from Halloween Town. "Oh, I know that place. My parents told me stories about it." she said, looking at Jackie. Jackie immediately began to walk down the long road ahead of them. Jackie turned and asked Anadi what her weapon was. Summoning her keyblade, Anadi held it up for Jackie to look at. "It's a keyblade. This one's a special chain my dad had given me. He said it'd help me and protect me. So far, that's been a load of crap." she said, returning the keyblade to wherever it goes when she doesn't use it. "I meant to ask, Jackie. Who are we looking for and why are they in a cave? What's the story behind it?" she asked. Truth be told, she was hoping to maybe know where they were supposed to go. That'd certainly help, but it was such a long shot, Anadi knew it was silly. In the meantime, as everyone talked and walked, Anadi would try and replicate what Blanch did with the heartless with any passerby heartless that weren't a threat. What she didn't notice was that she kept summoning a tiny dark fireball in her hand.
Grumbling and climbing the stairs, Ananta looked over to hear the three "Musketeers" talking to the group. Standing behind the group a little, Ananta listened to them introduce themselves. Tossing the torch to the ground, Ananta snuffed the fire out with some dirt. She picked the torch back up and placed it in her knapsack. It'll come in handy later, she was sure of it. The Musketeers soon noticed one of their keyblades and suggested they hold a sparring match. "Sounds fun." she chimed in, stepping forward. "I'll take on the duck." she said, staring at him. "It's okay, I'm still pretty new to this sparring and fighting thing, so I think I'll be pretty easy for you." she said, stepping to the side with Donald. Summoning her keyblade, she waited for Donald to come rushing forward with his sword. His way was pretty wild and crazy. Very predictable, even for Ananta. She dodged to the left and right, meeting Donald's sword with her keyblade and hearing the clang. Eventually, she managed to knock his sword out of his hand and cause him to flop over. Donald grabbed his head and shook on the ground, thinking Ananta was going to smack him with her keyblade. He waited a moment before he opened his eyes and looked up to see Ananta staring down at him. "That was good, Donald. My name's Ananta." she introduced herself, reaching her hand down to help him up. "Good luck with the others. They're way better than me..." she chuckled, dusting off Donald. He ran to his sword and grabbed it, standing next to Ananta while they watched the others.
"Considering the look of this place...?" Ananta began. There indeed was a large castle here, so it's obvious that there was royalty inside. And, now that she looked around a bit more, it seemed that this was a knight's training area. There were others here, but they were too busy doing their own thing to ever notice the five people huddled together in strange clothing. "Well, I wouldn't put it past the denizens of this world to have a dungeon. I think we ought to explore down there a little. That way, if we DO get caught and thrown in jail, at least then we'd know this place a little and could escape." she finally finished. Approaching the large, oaken doors, Ananta bent down and moved the blockade from the door. It thumped to the ground and kicked up a small dusting of dirt. Pulling the doors open, Ananta looked to see stairs behind them. There were also cobwebs and bugs skittering away as light from nearby fires were pouring in. It was still pretty dark down the stairs, however. "I'll go down first. Lady's first, after all, right?" she chuckled, descending the stone steps. Her boots slipped a little from the fine coating of dust that was on the stairs. It was obvious somebody hadn't used this part of the basement in quite awhile. To her left, she noticed a torch. Ananta grabbed it and lit a small fire at the end with her magic. Reaching into her pocket, she yanked out an energy bar and crunched on it. 'Running low on these....' she thought. Shrugging, she was glad she got some brownies from that general store as well. But after awhile, she'd be completely out of food....oh well. Ananta continued down the staircase, careful not to make too much noise.
Ananta snapped out of her profuse apologizing and spell spamming to listen to Kross. Nodding, she stood up and dusted herself off. She nodded towards Kel and Raisor, but stopped her eyes on Steel. He and she needed to talk, still, but now was not the time. Turning her head away before his gaze could meet hers or make her turn into whatever he was, she looked at Kross. He suggested that they split up. Ananta shook her head. "That'd be a BAD idea. I mean, look at all the training dummies here! Who knows how powerful their army is! No, we'd be better off exploring together and keeping our eyes out for anything that'll point us to wherever we're going." she said, crossing her arms. "Speaking of that...what ARE we going to do here?" she asked. That was the most important thing. All Ananta knew was that they were in Disney Town and now they're in...wherever. It was weird. "And maybe introducing ourselves to this guy would be good too." Ananta said, pointing at Raisor. If she had introduced herself to him before, Ananta certainly didn't remember it. Of course, there are a lot of things that have been fuzzing up her mind lately, so there's no use arguing her memory at this time.
Black ink was splotched onto the wall. It had a shape to it, but Ananta could barely make it out. When they got closer and Kross turned to answer Ananta's question, she saw the ink splotch started to suck Kross in. Kross called out to her and Ananta couldn't help but grab his outstretched hand. Unfortunately, that also caused her to get pulled through the ink splotch as well. Not wanting to go through, she tried to pull Kross back out so they could investigate some more. As she was sucked in, Ananta placed both her feet against the wall and tried with all her strength to pull out Kross. This was all in vain, as she felt the ink creep and move enough to swallow her legs as well. "OH SH-" she exclaimed, her voice being eaten by the portal. Her hand had let go of Kross at this point, so she was a bit behind him. He landed on the ground and Ananta looked down to see how high they were. Upon doing so, she found herself plummeting towards the ground. She screamed and closed her eyes, waving her arms around in feeble attempts to try and stop her descent at least somewhat. Feeling herself hit the ground, Ananta could have sworn she was dead. Her eyes slowly opened and adjusted to the lighting as she felt the ground was rather soft beneath her. Looking up at the others that were here with her, she recognized Kel immediately. "Oh, hey Kel." she said, waving at him. They gave her weird looks however, and Ananta tilted her head, confused. "What?" she said. She followed their gaze and looked down to see....Kross beneath her. "Ack!" she yelled rolling off and kneeling beside him. "Kross! I'm sorry!" she said, rolling him to his back. She quickly began to use Cure magic on him, trying to heal whatever she could. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry." she kept repeating, not stopping until Kross said something to break her train of thought.
Yeah, Ananta's going to Country of the Musketeers.
"Space magic...huh?" she said, thinking about this...weird...magic....Anadi was a little confused. That was, until Ghost spoke up about the cave Jackie had mentioned. "Cave? Wait, what's in the cave anyway?" she asked. She was sure that they mentioned something in a cave before, but she had to make sure before she continued asking things or talking. Didn't want to be wrong or anything. That'd be really stupid. "Blanc, some day, I'll take you up on that offer. Space magic sounds interesting...I think there are some people on my world that can use it too, but they only use it to make things I think...not sure." she said, scrathing her head. Jackie mentioned the bottomless pits below them. They still scared Anadi, but the fact they were coming to a clearing obviously meant something. Just as they walked into this clearing, heartless sprung up from their surroundings and began to lurk, attacking when they were close enough. "Spirits burning.." she tch'd. Swinging her left arm, Anadi summoned her keyblade in a backhand fashion. Her keyblade looked to be adorned with many stars and also had a rather blue color scheme. Looking at the people around her, readying their weapons, Anadi remembered the lessons from her father. He taught her how to fight. Ohm had always been her opponent, but he was better than her anyway. It's still sad that they were all gone now. Wincing, Anadi remembered the darkness that had overtaken her world. Anger swelled up inside of her and her eyes glared at the heartless. Rushing forward, with great speed, Anadi sliced through the heartless easily. "Small fry..." she groaned, standing up and staring at the other heartless.
Well, glad to see they're making more than just Final Fantasy for it. I really would like a Kingdom Hearts rendition, however.
End of the World has the best music, honestly.
Kingdom Hearts RE:Chain of Memories Reverse/Rebirth
Eh, Anti-Form itself sucks, but it's a representation of Sora's body and how it was recreated from the heartless he turned into.
I just type KHRECOMRR when I refer to reverse/rebirth. But if I'm talking to somebody who doesn't know the name, I just type out the whole name however I feel like.
Yes, I fully suggest VLC. It's always updating and it works for just about everything. MKV....MP4....etc etc.... Here's a download link if you haven't already gotten it: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/index.html You can also use VLC to watch Twitch streams! Isn't that cool?! VLC also allows you to change/force the video to be in 16:9 in the right-click>video>aspect ratio selection when you are looking at a video. Also, pressing shift+< or > let's you skip forward or backward a few seconds instead of having to click on the video timeline. Side note: if you are watching a lot of videos at once, just set the default to VLC and then just double click on it, you don't have to close the program to watch another file. The program automatically switches to the new video!
Rummaging in the paper sack, she looked to see Kross stand up. Blinking, Ananta made sure there was nothing important in the paper bag and threw it away. She hurried along and reached in her pockets, remembering the necklace she had gotten Kross. She didn't feel it and so she stopped and looked back to the bench. It wasn't on the ground from what she could see, but she was sure it wasn't in the bag. She had made sure there was nothing in the bag before she threw it away too. Ananta frowned and turned back to Kross. Her eyes looked forward and saw a huge castle in the distance. "What do you suppose we'll find there? I mean...I don't know if they'll even let us in." she nodded, pointing out the obvious. "Also uh...did...did you see a necklace before we left? Um..." she asked, hoping he had seen it or something.
"I want to continue the search too, but that battle hurt...I never was trained to fight you know." she said, eating the pie. "I was trained to be a healer and a leader and a mother. I have little to no knowledge of fighting, save for what I've read in books, but even then I never practiced it." Ananta stared at the pie. It tasted great, but something else was in her mind right now. She remembers a lot about her childhood, but somewhere along the line, things turned into a blur. The last memory she has of her world was when she lost it. But that was even troubling. How could she lose her world when she was taught that the Mother Crystal would not fall to even the darkest of beings? "A-Anyway, um, where do we go first?" she asked Kross, finishing off the pie and starting to drink the milk.
im an old fart, that's who i am
Not paying attention, Ananta jumped when Kross placed a hand on her knee. Her hands rose to defend herself, while she blinked and noticed it was just Kross. Shaking her head, she smiled. "No...no it's fine. Beuce has it worst off right now. He needs all the cheering up you can give him." she said, patting Kross' hand. "So what will you do now? Stay with him?" she asked, already knowing he'd most likely run off with Beuce anyway. That always happened when Ananta decided to spend time with somebody. It reminded her of a time when she was at a store with a classmate from her school. They were inside a store and had met up with another classmate by chance. Ananta was busy looking through the store and hadn't even noticed the two left the store. It wasn't until later when she called the girl that she learned she had forgotten Ananta was even there. They never spoke again after that. "I mean, if you do go off, at least eat some of the food I got for you." Ananta asked, turning to the bag. As she turned, the necklace fell out of her pocket and landed on the ground. Rummaging through the bag, Ananta pulled out the two pieces of pie she had bought. Handing Kross his container, she gave him a little milk carton to go with it. "The general store owner said this pie is pretty famous around here, so she hoped we'd like it. She swore I was going on a date with you, when I told her I had a good friend to cheer up. It was weird..." she frowned. How can it be a date when they've got so much work to do? Sure, Kross and Ananta are pretty good friends already, but she barely knows anything about him other than what he's told her about his world and the basics about him, like his age. "At least eat the pie with me." she asked again.
Anadi sighed. Ohm was gone now, but that certainly didn't mean she hated him. Far from it. She just didn't want him following her around all the time. Standing beside Jackie, Anadi watched three more approach them. Anadi didn't pay attention, her mind elsewhere. Suddenly, the world started to spin, causing Anadi to wobble slightly. Closing her eyes, she felt like she fell asleep. Opening her eyes again, she saw Jackie finished speaking with the newcomers. Anadi nodded towards the newcomers, not really feeling like talking right now. Turning towards Blanc, she saw he had created his dark portal tear thing. Jackie and Blanc walked through first, which gave Anadi a reason to finally move from her spot. Stepping through the portal, Anadi shivered from a creepy feeling she got. Opening her eyes, she saw just how bleak and dark this place was. All that could be seen were countless yellow eyes beneath them, moving about curiously. Their only road was lit by an unknown glow before them. "We should get going...and keep going. I don't wanna wait around and have one of those things attack us." she said to Jackie and Blanc, motioning towards the pit of darkness beneath them. "But this place...it feels so mysterious. And Blanc, you tearing open a dark portal thing was really cool and you seemed to move between areas pretty fast. Could you..could you teach me how to do that some time?" she asked him. Realizing how weird that may sound, she cleared her throat. "But, um, you don't have to if you don't want to." she chuckled awkwardly. Maybe learning how to do that would be beneficial. It'd be a lot easier than using her keyglider all the time. If only her keyblade could undo her world's demise.
Munching on the sandwich, Ananta sat next to Kross. She was still waiting on him to reply to her cheering up attempts. She may not be good at it, but at least she tried, right? Enjoying the sandwich, she didn't notice Kross was gone just yet. Finishing the sandwich mere moments later, she opened her water bottle and began to gulp the refreshing liquid down. Turning her head to her right, she saw Kross was gone. She stopped mid-gulp and put the cap back on the bottle, swallowing hard on the water in her mouth. Looking down on the bench, she saw he hadn't even touched the sandwich she gave to him. Frowning, Ananta looked down at the her own hands. She then curled up on the bench, pulling her knees to her chest. Had she done something wrong? Did Kross really not want to hang around? Were her words going in one ear and out the other, making him think they were insignificant? All these and more were running through Ananta's head as she sat there on the bench. Reaching into her pocket, she held the necklace in front of her and frowned at it. Thinking Kross was her friend was a stupid idea. Especially since he just up and left her behind, not even taking one bite of the food. Looking around, she wondered if maybe somebody else was here that she could go to. Her eyes stopped on Kross and Beuce sitting together and talking to each other on a bench. "So that's where he went..." Ananta thought to herself, realizing that maybe Kross would rather talk to Beuce than her. Anybody is better to talk to than Ananta. Karina was even better. Speaking of Karina, Ananta realized that maybe what she said was right. Maybe Ananta was just too nosy or doting or motherly for people. Ananta felt her heart ache at realizing that it was probably all her fault that nobody wanted to talk with her. Her mind was racing with thoughts and reasons as she kept staring at Kross and Beuce, not noticing she was still staring.
