Aethelrick saw Brianne cave with the realisation of who it was she left behind. "If you had known, you'd have gone back in there, just like Cyrus and you know what would have happened to you." Aethelrick said "We'll go back there, in force, get her back out again. Don't beat yourself up over it, it ain't your fault, nothing you could have done except something stupid." Aethel said, he knew his words weren't comforting, he hardly knew the girl he had no right to dictate she'd get left behind. But he knew he was right, there was no way she could reasonably deny it to be the truth, then again she was emotional and that tended to cloud judgement, a lot. A bloke already went closer to her and tried to comfort her some more, Aethel didn't pay too much attention to it or the other conversation going on in the room, something about a trip elsewhere? Well hadn't he found Cyrus he'd be game, but he couldn't leave his buddy here and he doubted that Cyrus wanted to go on that trip, he needed to rest. "Cyrus nor I will be joining you, he needs to rest. And I don't leave " Aethel said, just as he heard the door being kicked down. He let the fairy do the word, she obviously knew the fairy that just walked in. Brianne gave him a signal and first standing behind her he got out the P90 and expertly swapped out the magazine, behind her back, out of sight of Cin, sure he didn't have iron bullets, but the standard cardridge was made with a steel penetrator and even high school physics students knew that steel had a high percentage of iron and it was the second best he had. He held the gun pointed at the floor idly as he took up position beside Brianne with a look on his face that didn't betray what kind of ammunition was loaded. Within his free hand he took his Seraphim blade and merely watched it play out.
Conrad was left with a rather interesting issue here, he watched as the Spirit weaver summoned smaller spiders to it's side. Damn it they needed to break through or risk getting swarmed. But if he advanced he left Rayyad and Tessa out in the open, not that he didn't think they couldn't take care of themselves but he could most likely take the hardest hits. "Okay there's two things we can do, I know it's hardly the time and place for it but either I move up attack the core of this, that big spider over there, but it leaves you all open to attack." He knew that that wasn't the way to go, atleast not now. "However, that is not what I'll do, Rayyad, got any combat magic? Try and hit the big one as hard as you can, try and lure it in. If not, we'll close ranks, take them out one by one as we advance. Tessa, do what you're good at, you got this, now let's do this, quick and clean." Conrad said as he tried to parry blows from the spiders, failing to do so, the hits hurt, but not badly. He swung his own new greatsword at the spider that decided to stick too close and then take up a defensive stance. Conrad used Greatswordstrike one Spiritspider in front of him (6 AP) Conrad used defensive stance (3 AP) Baldomar smiled at the compliments he got from Kellan, there was some back and forth as to where they were supposed to be going, but the promise of stuff to apply a hammer to the face to was having the shaman a little distracted and had nothing to do with the poster not feeling like checking what precisely happened since most of it was probably insignificant anyways Anthea seemed to have remembered the way they were supposed to go, Kellan didn't call her by her name and Baldy felt the need to correct his mate. "Kellan, the girl's name ain't Christina, you twonk, her name is Anthea." The Barbarian tried to get through Kellan's thick ignorant skull, but he figured it may be something else than ignorance that plagued his mate. "Alright then, let's go onwards to bash some faces in." Baldomar said, the direction seemed right to him, but was a man like him ever truly lost out in the woods? You couldn't be lost at home now could you? He started to mentally debate this as he went with the others. He thought he had outrun the danger back in Haven when his home got burned down by some overzealous prick trying to contain the undead. That he could have made a nice new start here in Fordington. However he had been proven wrong, it was all quiet for the past what was it two years? And now once again his house was burned down, this time it wasn't an overzealous mage though but rather a drake. However unlike last time he didn't lose an arm and part of his leg during the cluster**** of his town. He had heard the Mayor had hired some folks to help out with this particular problem and Ulrich was on his way to see what kind of sorry bunch turned up to try and make some money of the misery of others this time. Not that he cared much for what those folks did. He had found their camp and looked at the group of people that had gathered. "So, I take it you're the lot trying to save this town?" Ulrich asked, not even caring to introduce himself.
The Andaran prince was presented with yet another choice this one however he didn't need to use the ritual for. Either help with a prisoner escort or the defense of a small camp. Prisoners were free to break out within the Andaran code as long as they didn't break any other laws while doing so. Therefore the Prince decided to join in with the defence of the small camp he reasoned that this was where he should be, defending against the tyranny of the Hammers. "I will aide in the defence of the outpost, I feel my weapons may make the greatest difference there, though old, they are reliable. And I shall help with the defence of this outpost to the best of my ability." The Andaran Prince said, then the remark was dropped about a princess and the Inheritor being busy "I shall take my leave then, fare well and may the eagle guide your way." The Andaran prince said as he got up and headed for the door.
Aethel followed Brianne through the city "You would have only gotten yourself hurt or killed if you had gone in... We need numbers if we want to take the Inquisitor out of the equation..." Aethelrick said as they walked through the city, Brianne didn't seem to offer much of a conversation which Aethelrick didn't mind after all he had to carry a full grown man around, something that didn't exactly make conversation an appealing prospect. They finally arrived at the Townhouse and he thanked Brianne as she held the door open for him. Before joining Brianne and the others he went upstairs to put Cyrus in a proper bed and put his parabatai's weapons on a sheet on the chair in the room. "Sleep tight, mate and sory again but given your wounds you shouldn't have been out and about anyways." Aethel said to the sleeping form of Cyrus. He went back downstairs and he scanned the room. There was an odd assortment of people gathered here, both Shadow hunters and Down worlders. His eyes met those of the other Lightwood twin and they narrowed for a moment before turning to Brianne who took up the mantle of responsibility. "Hmmm, I'm not sure but I think her name was Clarity...told me to run if **** went south so I followed through." Aethel said, gauging the reactions in the room, but he knew there was gonna be a shitstorm at hand.
The Castellan of Kaer Morhen had gone to sleep after the talk with Veera the previous night. The Master Witcher had once more been sleeping, he was getting older and after the day they had had, he needed the sleep. He didn't have any nightmares. In he morning he had put on his armour again, he'd get around to repairing all of that later. There was a knock on the door and he knew who was there. It was Veera, he had given her the opportunity to stay until she was ready to do this, apparantly she was prepared more quickly than he had expected. He opened the door to find Veera standing there. "Come on in." The old crow said as he invited her into the room. His room was located in one of the towers of the keep, there wasn't too much to it, except his personal laboratory that nearly rivaled the one in the cellars. He was brewing some more swallow, tawny owl and thunderbolt potions. He had been awake before the sun rose and decided to start brewing to keep his mind occupied and he wouldn't send Veera out without a little bit of back-up. The rules never forbade providing supplies for said journey and that was all he was doing. "How is the leg?" He asked her. Not really wanting to think of all the possible consequences here... Alastar and the NPC brigade had been going back through the city and Olivia had caught up with them. Alastar had explained the deal to the leader of the refugee camp, bought some supplies for the road for a very hefty price, giving the people some extra cash to get more of their own supplies, after all Alastar supported the local economy. He rested up at the camp and in the early morning went back to the road, intended to go towards Kaer Morhen. Which would be quite the trip as there weren't any horses around, well not horses that could support him and not make it look like the horse was suffering because of it. "So what actually happened in that city? We were a bit late and pulled the others out. And what's your story?" Alastar asked Olivia
Aethelrick chuckled "Yeah, I know, but that's something I'll deal with when it pops up. He won't stay mad at me forever." He said, not too concerned with Cyrus' anger, it was for his own good. When Brianne said that the Inquisitor was up there, he knew he had made the right decision in knocking his friend out. "All the more reason to bolt." Aethelrick said, so the Inquisitor was here then, to what end was that? Oh well there was time for questions later, they had to get going. Brianne seemed to be weighing her options but in the end decided to come with him. "You made the right choice there..." Aethelrick said as he carried Cyrus with him, he checked the adress on his phone again, also mentioning the adress to Brianne, not who the text was from. Seeing he himself wasn't that familiar with the city he'd have to rely on Brianne for navigation.
"I merely did what the Code asked of me, any other citizen of Andar would have done the same." The Prince said, it was the truth any follower of the Code would have done the same, there was nothing extrordinairy about this. The Inheritor told him to perform the Ritual. "Once I start there is no going back, please do not disturb me while I perform it." The Prince instructed as he stood up from the chair and knelt on the floor placing his rifle to the left, symbolising war and his set of dice to the right symbolising peace. The items represented the paths he could choose here. He had kept his set of dice with him as he enjoyed the occasional game of it. The Prince started to whisper in an ancient lost tongue as his eyes rolled backwards in his head, the chanting started to drone within the room and at first it would seem nothing was happening and the Prince was being possesed, however he was merely asking his ancestors for guidance as they guided his hands towards one of the objects. The chanting continued and the Prince didn't actually perceive much of the room as his hands reached out and took hold of the object pulling it closer to him again as the chanting died down the Prince looked at the item within his hands...... it was the rifle.... "The ancestors have spoken." The prince said, as if a thousand voices spoke all at once, taking his dice and putting them away again. "I will hide my face and fight from the shadows as is the Andaran way." The prince explained refering to the prefered method of warfare of the Andaran armed forces. His weapons may not have been state of the art, but they were effective in the way they had trained with them. "You have your answer, Inheritor." The prince said, sitting back down on his chair.
Hendrick heard gunfire coming from the window and swore. He then heard Brianne call to him, he hadn't seen the wolf as he turned to Brianne running over to her. "Bri... what the hell is going on... these strange texts.. explosions.... what is happening?" He asked her only to hear her ask him the same. "All I know is that I am being re-united with a friend, atleast that's what I was told..." Hendrick explained to her. The return hoot however, knew which particular friend that was. It was then that the cloaked Shadow hunter appeared, he'd recognise that gait anywhere, it was Aethel. But what was he doing here? "Bri... I don't know how or why, but remember the story I told you? Well I guess this is him, it's Aethelrick... Aethel, this is Brianne..." The shadowhunter gave Brianne a nod. "Well met, wish it were under more pleasant circumstances." "Come on we should go, now and for the record don't fight that wolf, it's an ally." Aethelrick said, after giving his parabatai the friendly shoulderbump. "We can't go, my friend is still up there, I'm not going to leave her behind, you should know that, Aethel." Hendrick said as he started going towards the entrance of the Institute. "I didn't take all this effort to find you, and get you out, just to have you throw it back in my face, Cyrus" Aethelrick knew that a year and a half ago, he could have been killed himself were it not for Cyrus. "Cyrus, there is more at play here, it ain't safe in there, come with me. I know a safe place where we can hide, plan. Going back in there won't save your friend and it'll only land you in a nastier spot than last time you disagreed with the Clave." Hendrick stopped and turned around, visibly angry "So, I'm supposed to just let my friend die in there? Abandon her? I saved you back in Prague 'cause I gave a **** about you, same here goes for her up there, now either help me out in there or just leave, I can't use this right now!" He had found his parabatai again and here he was losing him again, all for the life of a ****ing downworlder. No, Cyrus' mind was clouded, he didn't see the reasoning and Aethelrick sighed, taking out the P90 going after his parabatai and then hit him on the back of the head with the but of the gun, hard. Cyrus fell to the ground. "I'm sorry, I had to do this Cyrus, but you'll thank me for this later..." He picked up his fallen comrade on the shoulders, the way a firefighter does. He turned to Brianne "You should come with me too, I don't know what he told you about me, but I'm Aethelrick, was his parabatai, you can trust me." He knew how stupid it sounded after just lamping her friend in front of her, but there was no time, they had to get away. "There is no time, we should get going, now." Aethelrick said.
Hendrick had been prepared to go, watching through the window as he waited. When he saw Clarity climb up he opened the window in advance and at the last moment helped her up. He caught the wink and smiled, inside he was uncertain what else to do. When she pulled him close and handed him the rope the confusion at the situation got even worse. "No, I haven't forgotten...And you know, you could have used the door to this room..." Hendrick said as he sat to work, tying himself a harness. Something that Clarity helped him with as there appeared to be some pressure behind it. She remarked on his wounds saying she'd pity the guys that did that to him. "They're all taken care off. I'll be fine, I just need to get rest, but something's telling me I'm not going to get any anytime soon... Clary... what's all this what's going on?" He asked her looking her in the eyes, but he wasn't given an answer, but rather told everything would be explained later. The mention of a friend puzzled him, why was there so much trouble around a friend wanting to see him? They knew where to find him, why not just text or call him and meet-up either here or somewhere else? Questions seemed to keep on coming where as much needed answers were left out. When told to try and hurry up he stalled for one last moment, looking the Ifrit in the eyes, he blindly trusted her, something that didn't come easy with him and she knew it. "Clary... I don't know what's going on, but it would seem you're putting an aweful lot of time and effort in for old me here, I really ought to repay you some day, not just for this, but for everything..." This wasn't the first time she had helped him out and he hadn't properly thanked her at all. As he lowered himself it did indeed hurt and he made it as quick as he could. Before he planted his feet on firm ground however he was thrown against the side of the building by the force of the explosions, he bit his tongue, hard trying to surpress shouting out in pain. However he made it to the ground and got out of the harness, then jerked on the improvised rope to let Clarity know that he was firmly with his feet on the ground. Following it up with the hoot of an Owl just to make it clear, he was quite good at imitating the sound, something he had practiced for hours, useless most of the times, but briliant in those few situations to give signals over larger distances. He heard another owl and narrowed his eyes, wait friend? The hooting of an owl? This was the city and it wasn't entirely impossible that it was one of the majestic hunters of the night, but with all this going on he was certain it wasn't that simple...
Aethelrick followed Felicia throughout the city towards the Institute picking up the explosives along the way. Clarity did not **** around when it came to distractions and he was happy to see that, the amount of explosives provided could level the entire Institute if wired properly, but that wasn't what they wanted to do with Cyrus still inside. Felicia called him a boy eventhough he was far older than her anyways. He did as instructed and stayed low when Felicia went to set the charges for the distraction. He wanted to remind her to set the charges as close to the building as possible, but hey maybe she could actually use the brain that she had been born with. When she came back she handed him the detonator, waiting for the signal to start the fireworks. When she pulled out a speaker and started blasting Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, he sighed. "Really?" He asked her why, I mean sure there was that one movie that had this done, but were they really gonna just do that? Couldn't it just be a simple explosion, which was beautiful in it's own right? "I hope you placed those charges right, we got only one shot at this." He would have done it himself, maybe even had gotten himself a jerrycan of gasoline or two or a pack of flour for a nice fireball, but hey couldn't have everything. When given the signal he had hit the detonator and watched the fireworks, praying to the Angel this worked.
The offer of the Inheritor seemed quite interesting, however there was a question to be answered first. "In a way, it is the start of the path that has lead me here. An emmisary with escort was sent to parley about our standing in this war, wishing to sway us to their side. The negotiations turned violent when I refused to take their side. They tried to kill me, in the ensuing firefight all their people got killed. A few of my own got killed and many injured, including innocent civilians. As it happened in my home, it was my responsibility, the Code is clear on what must be done. I did what was asked of me collecting the blood price in accordance to the Code. During this I came across the girl, I saw her climbing the tower, when she fell, I went over to help, but the construct had already taken care of everything. The construct was unsettling and the battle about to start so I found a position to collect the debt owed by the Order. During this I saw the duo again caught in the middle of battle, seeing they were non-combatants I decided to provide them with support so they could get away safely. When the battle was lost, with the debt collected I set out back home and came across them again, leading them here." The Andaran prince explained, sure the Inheritor hadn't asked for the story but it was easy to explain it all as a whole. "While the offer is good, I am uncertain whether a man in my position can permit himself to join. As a ruler, I represent my people. If I join it symbolises not just my own involvement, but also the involvement of my entire people. While I am honoured that you are considering me worthy of such a position, I do not think I can justify the course of action to my people. After all if found out I sided with you, I doubt the Hammers will leave my people alone. There is no guarantee your people can keep them safe and this is all a big gamble. I might have to perform the ritual of guidance to make my decision..." The Prince said, he was certain that the Inheritor wouldn't understand what the ritual encompassed after all this was knowledge that had left the rest of the world.
The Andaran Prince followed the Inheritor to his office taking the offered seat. "I am Varraki Andar, son of Sikandar Aesar Andar, honoured be his name, regent of the sovereign Andaran Highlands." The Prince introduced himself. He would have prefered to sit on the ground with some cushions, the way he did at home to discuss these matters over a cup of apple tea, but alas. "You are indeed correct in the claim of us wanting to remain neutral in this conflict and I appreciate it that you do not infringe our sovereignty. The same couldn't be said about the Order of the Hammer." The Prince said only to be interrupted by an officer and a soldier coming in, each with their individual reasons. "The reason I am here is merely me doing my duty as the Prince of Andar, following this, I came across an odd pairing, the girl and the Construct. I aided them once again and they requested to know where they could enlist with the Shards, as ruler of the Highlands I keep track of movements of troops near my lands and accompanied them to the camp, where the assumption was made I came to join you, I never said so otherwise, after all the girl seemed rather out of touch with her emotions and I didn't want to risk abandoning them, though in hindsight she appears to have taken it well. My presence here is all a misunderstanding." He had strayed from the path he had set out on when he left his home in the mountain Citadel of Dagath, but he'd hear the Inheritor out for now. Grif returned to the Ancient god as the god was just leaving to see the Inheritor. "Lord Zahariel" The soldier greeted "The Inheritor has requested you go find Hammerhead and then set out to the front." The god sighed, wouldn't the Inheritor just hurry up and make up his mind already. "Very well, I'll go find Hammerhead. And Grif, those names are only used within our division and to me, got it?" Grif nodded "Got it, sir" The soldier seemed to have shaped up a little from his walk. "Good, now go to Commander Astelan tell him to prepare the ironwing for deployment." The soldier nodded and turned walking away. "And Grif, next time you knock, you wait till I open the door or call you in." The same fear played across the soldiers face again as he acknowledged the instruction and scurried away to his CO. Now to go find David so they could get going out there into the field, now where to find the bugger....
Aethelrick appreciated the reasoning Clarity offered up. "I can't really argue with that." The Nephilim said "Except for the fact there is not much use for cash when you're under lock and key, but I trust you got that all figured out for yourself." He received the message with the adress of the safe house to go to after they had gotten Hendrick out. There seemed to be a lot more going on here than initilly suspected. "And hey if you need bailing out, you know where to find me. Good luck with your part in this." Aethelrick said as he himself got up as well, rather eager to get started. After all there was stuff to blow up and they were burning away daylight there, well metaphoricaly as it had gone dark by now. He turned to Felicia as Clarity went ahead. "Come on, we should go too, stuff to blow up and you can't let a man wait on such things, it's inhumane." Aethelrick joked at his own expense. Hendrick lay on his back, the places he had been injured throbbing, listening to the sounds of the city as his phone buzzed again. He grabbed his phone and read the new message, it had taken a bit longer to arrive than anticipated, Clarity was probably extremely busy, given the delay. He had to stay near a window and be prepared to leave. Well the ceiling of his entire room was made up out of glass windows some of which he could open to let the 'fresh' air in and in the summer to let his room cool more quickly in the evening. He was glad he had his weapons right here with him. The only problem he could think of at the moment was getting down after exiting the window, normally he'd try his luck with the jump and try to roll, but he was in no shape to pull that off. He gathered up his weapons again and texted Clarity back "Okay, I don't know what's going on, but I trust you. Standing by for further instructions"
Tobias sat on the steps of the church, that was still burning behind him. One of the Graveirs came closer to him and he petted it as if it were a dog. The girl finally seemed to come alive and Tobias turned his gaze back to her. His completely black eyes gazing upon her. She was hesistant to ask him anything. "Isn't it always a question of trust whether the other follows through, whether at a market stall or taking on a contract, it's all a gamble." Tobias observed "You'll just have to trust me, there is no alternative. Though to be fair, if I wanted you killed, we would not be talking right now. That is the only thing you can be certain of after all you're not dead yet." The man spoke, getting back to his feet. "Isn't it obvious? My children will not be murdered for what they are. After all what is a Lord without subjects to rule over? Naught but a commoner himself." The man explained. "The other Witcher is currently leaving the city with a group of the murderers that accepted my gracious offer, if you hurry, you may catch up to them." He'd make sure a crow was following this girl as well, until she caught up to the other witcher.
"Wowowowow RelativelySane, you're intruding on my territory there." RNGesus said "I AM THE TRUE BETRAYER OF HOPE!" RNGesus got right down to business and took out a golden D20 "So you want to summon all of them right? Okay let's do this." RNGesus rolled the golden dice, it moved so fast that the result was only visible once it stopped..... RNGesus looked at RelativelySane the DM "DM or not, that's a one and you know what that means." It seemed his duty here was done and RNGesus rose up to the heavens again and as he rose he looked down at the people of Tyrrus and the RP'ers "Don't forget to get your hopes up." And thusly the mighty RNGesus saved the day from the evil predations of RelativelySane the DM.
Aethelrick listened as Clarity explained what this favour was. She had put it aptly with him missing a piece of his very soul. As parabatai you had a bond that had no mundie equivalent, in battle their hearts beat together. They were two parts of a whole, until the bond was broken. Normally they'd just walk in or atleast according to Clarity, but he knew that the situation didn't allow for it. He had sat down on one of the couches, it was more comfortable than standing around and well it was an invitation. Clarity then decided to ditch him with Felicia. "I can handle myself, quite well, but hey if you think it better that way fine by me. It's been a while since I've been helping with blowing something up, too long to be perfectly honest. Anyways thanks for helping a lost soul out." Aethelrick said, sure he hadn't been the nicest person to her, but atleast she was willing to do him this favour. He was paying her handsomely for it, but that didn't mean people automaticly did something for you.
"Ah I see, a man and his weapon should be one if they are to reach their full potential, when the weapon doesn't suit one well they are not two parts of a whole. I understand now." The prince told Reitan, this teaching was particularly true for melee weapons like the lance, it had to become a part of the body. He had read of Andaran swordsmen training extensively to master their blades in times long since past. He listened to the explanation about Zahariel and made a note of it. Paying heed to the warning of him being one of the less pleasant people to deal with among the shards. "That seems fair enough, sir Lancer." The Prince remarked at the explanation about the ideology, after all everyone was here with their own reasons, he imself included. His attention was diverted to a man who came walking down the hallway, he seemed to be a figure of authority. He didn't even hear Kala's remark regarding him still being the quiet one and Reitan being the giving one. The figure of authority joined them and requested his presence. He assumed this was the aforementioned Inheritor and before he left, he turned to Kala and Timothy "I guess this is where our paths part once more, until we may meet again. Miss Kala, Construct" He said bowing his head a little, as was a custom. 'This may be the last time you will see me...' He didn't say it out loud and just kept those words to himself, not that he had much tying him to these two individuals. But after all he had been drawn to the girl initially, but he had now done all that the code asked of him to help those who needed it. He followed the Inheritor towards the office. The words of the girl had amused him as he walked back to his quarters. He hadn't the door and placed the sword on the pedestal again as he knelt down by an icon with a pair of lit candles in front of it. It was an elaborate carving of hooded figures much like himself standing watch over creation. The standard of the Custodians, a beautiful relic of a lost age. There was a knock on the door and then it was opened, the Ancient God remained sitting as he did. "The Inheritor would like to speak with you, Lord Zahariel" The soldier, evidently scared said, his voice trembling. The ancient being didn't move. "Uhm, Lo-" "I heard you, Griff. I am meditating right now, come back later when I'm not busy." The soldier remained standing within his room. "Uhm, the Inheritor said-" The Ancient god stood up from his meditating and looked at the soldier "He said what, Griff? Go on, I'm listening....." The soldier jumped backwards as the ancient god was clearly irritated at being interrupted. The soldier swallowed and took a moment to gather his thoughts, the God stood as if to say I'm waiting. "The Inheritor said that if you wouldn't come, he'd divert the resources from your research elsewhere...." The soldier waited as Zahariel purposfully kept quiet just to make the soldier more nervous. "Little does he realise that limiting my research and therefor my effectiveness will also be deterimental to the entire shard cause. I have more than enough time, I've had millenia behind me one month in the grans scheme of things hardly matters. I think, Griff, you should go tell him that and while you are at it, tell him I'll be along shortly" The God said sending the soldier back to the Inheritor.
"Noted." Aethelrick merely stated at being called a dick, he couldn't care less about what a Downworlder thought of him. He walked with her to their destination, she told him that no matter what he paid her she wouldn't protect him if he pissed off the natives. Well he didn't intend to fight them, but being prepared to defend oneself had never hurt anyone, that was the entire reason he had loaded the magazine of silver bullets into the gun. She mentioned she liked Hendrick better. "Funny, Cyrus was always keeping himself occupied one way or another, not too particularly warm in his conversations. Even going on missions without me rather often, but that's because I wanted some R&R, he just kept on going... Can't imagine him to have changed that much since we got seperated." He remarked, knowing that a year and a half was a lot of time and a lot could have changed. He wondered if they had even been talking about the same person here. They arrived at the residence and he was introduced to Felicia. "Nice to meet you." He said, not entirely unsincere. He saw the ten other werewolves in the basement and made a mental note not to piss them off. Despite being told to make himself at home, he decided to stick to standing by Clarity's side, atleast that way if the wolves decided to pounce on a lone shadowhunter he atleast had a chance to react.
The statues started weeping as Tessa grew the grass beneath them, the door opened up ripping most of the threads apart. Rayyad congratulated both of them and he hadn't done a thing. "That was all Tessa, credit where it's due, mate." He said, he took in the information about the spiritweavers and didn't particularly like what he was hearing, when Rayyad tripped and Tessa swore, he knew what was gonna come next, especially after Tessa's earlier explanation. "Well, she ain't here right now, so you'll have to do this with me." Conrad remarked as he placed himself between Tessa and the approaching spider. He didn't like it one bit, especially after all the things they had seen and been told about this place. He'd rather be anywhere but here, but he couldn't let his friends down, after all he was to look after them as to wolf wasn't he? He prepared himself for the coming fight, glancing at his new blade for a moment, it was time to try it out.
"So what was I supposed to do huh? Grab my axe, kill two dozen, maybe more of these necrophages before being ripped apart myself? What purpose would my death serve? It would have been more selfish of me to die here, for you would have all been found the same fate." Alastar said, getting angry. "This isn't some ordinary necrophage infestation this is well beyond any single witcher, but I guess you don't want to see that, you'd just like to see my corpse being fought over by necrophages. Call me selfish all you want, I've been called far worse. Atleast I know that sometimes one needs to live to fight another day. Today is one such day, if you wanted to see me fight and die, well too ****ing bad." The anger was rising, angry at not being understood. Anger at his own fault and abandoning Treasa. The bear school witcher was close to cursing the warrior but he knew full well that a curse shouted in anger, might have dire consequences, after all he had cleaned up the mess of such incidents. He followed the group of people toward their camp since he still had that bloody offer to make and he didn't doubt that Tobias would be watching him to make sure he kept his end of the bargain, little did Alastar know how right he was.
