R.i.P. Arena.
I don't think so. At this point I couldn't make something nearly as strong as my old Fables, and I'd feel bad trying to work with the cards...
I made a weird deck. Somehow this happened. Spoiler [DOUBLEPOST=1383581698][/DOUBLEPOST]Someone just called Noble Knights boring.. While using a Final Countdown deck >.> Spoiler
If you played more than one deck, you would know that that simply isn't true. You also talk about being rusty.. There should be no such thing if there's nothing to the game but luck. You can't be too rusty to roll a pair of dice. Luck is the decider in very low level play, and to a much lesser extent in super high level play. In upper-mid level play, which is where I played with my Fables, the better player with the better deck will win 90% of the time unless the skill levels are very close. It is rare to find someone who is close enough to you in skill that you can get a score like 10-7 against through extended play. There are a few exceptions which have a fairly static win rate unless you have tech against them, such as Exodia, Quasar, and Wind-up Loop, but most decks aren't like that. When I played with my Fables there were a lot of worse moves I could have made that weren't terrible moves but would have lost me the game. There were also times where there were better moves that even I could see but I missed the first time around, causing me to lose when I could have won.
I was saying that with absolutely no basis for rhetorical purposes. Also, most of the time you can't find a good image that fits with your idea of the archetype. Edit: huh.. That was in this arena. Apparently this arena started in April and still only has 35 pages.
You do not actually require four of each kind of trigger. You can have at most four heal triggers, but you can do something like four Heal and twelve Draw, or sixteen Critical if you want to. Because of this, I think each person should declare the types of each of the four results of a trigger check. For example 1 is heal, everything else is draw, or everything is critical. Heal, of course, can only take one slot as you can only have four heal triggers. It's also worth noting that drive checks, which occur when your vanguard attacks, add the checked card to your hand. Damage checks, which occur when your vanguard is successfully attacked, send it to a damage zone where it cannot be used except as the cost for a counter blast, or through the effects of specific monsters. Edit: Also, face-down cards in the damage zone are public knowledge, and can be checked by either player at any time.
Honestly, despite my best decks being grave dependent, I like macro at three. It's a very strong anti-meta card, but that's okay. I would just want them to give everything some sort of boost from using the grave so that there are few strong decks that can splash Macro without losing a decent portion of their power, but decks like Rienzel's Ra deck that go all in on it can still function fine. And I think that that deck is great, and original, and I really wish it hadn't become unusable. As for Stratos.. You suffer from using a powerful archetype in a way that doesn't make it meta. When the meta decks that use stuff like Miracle Fusion, Super Poly, Stratos, A Hero Lives are hit, you lose access to those cards too. My Fables got the same thing with Brio being banned, and now CD going away as well. For mirror and stall becoming more available.. They decreased the availability of some pretty strong stuff like BTH and TT and Compulsory, which increases the value of cards like Breaker, and Ancient Gear Golem, who don't get their value until they have safely hit the field, but can reduce the risk of cards like Mirror. I personally think you should just run triple decree, and some lances.. But that's just me. Zero and Shining already get good value when they run into mirror. As for you coming back.. Stop raging about it. You don't think you'll find the game fun, so you don't play it. That's fine. If I said "Play yugimonz!!!" and then you raged I'd accept that.. But when there hasn't been anyone saying that you should come back recently, there's really no need. As for putting three of a limited card, DN has a box at the bottom of the card finder thing that lets you ignore that when making a deck. As for chess.. Chess is a perfect information game. That means that with perfect play, there is a predictable outcome. Either White wins, Black wins, or it's a tie. We just don't have the processing power yet to figure out who wins. Non-random is not a perfect information game. This means that there is no perfect 100% unbeatable play. Your opponent could have a card that can stop anything you can do. This means that while you do have silly good combos, you need to change them as the game progresses and more cards come out, or the ban list changes. Chess will never change, so once you have a perfect strategy there is no reason to ever change it. This actually has me kind of interested in something now, thinking about that.. What if we did non-random where you could only play one or two cards per turn, and only drew every other turn? Then you'd get that same interactiveness that Chess has, and make tempo matter. Maybe let you draw one card and play one card, or not draw but be able to play two cards.
With enough resources, the same could be said of chess.
I've seen you win quite a few non-random duels. Perhaps you're not the best at it, but you aren't the worst either.
Papa-Corn wins games. Spoiler Opened him first turn, he stayed there until the last. Not even Superdimensional Robot Galaxy Destroyer could stop him. And then when it was time, he sacrificed himself twice for tribute > spore > mist wurm to win the game.[DOUBLEPOST=1378661421][/DOUBLEPOST]Skull servants.. Are not too big of a failure? Plants are a success! Spoiler If this keeps up I'll have to go try to make Geargia or Agents or something.
I deleted all of my decks except my two main Fabled decks, as I can't just delete them, and made a deck that I felt bad about never really giving a chance.. Burning Knucklers, or Battlin' Boxers as they are now called. My first game with them I defeated a chain burn deck because I can summon Ouroboros, and made them discard a Just Deserts that would have killed me. Then, I 2-0'd some six samurai. I'm really sorry I never gave them a chance. Spoiler
The problem with it is that it can always stop basically anything from being used. The moment you set it, you are safe from any one play your opponent can make, and stopping that play can often leave them open to attack. Your LP count doesn't matter until it hits zero, in most cases. SJ will never make your LP hit zero, and will often be able to stop your opponent from making your LP hit zero. They seem to be trying to limit the ability of players to stop monsters from hitting the field, and SJ is one of the best cards for that, in addition to protecting against other things as well.
Another thing to note is that it's a cost that can always be paid. Even if you have 1 LP, you can pay .5 LP, and the game will then round you back to 1LP. You don't lose any LP effectively, but you have payed the .5LP cost, so the effect still works. This means that unlike Warning, Judgment can never become dead.
Or voltic to do it directly, instead of shining.[DOUBLEPOST=1377565509][/DOUBLEPOST] #CardAdvantage
To be fair, 3x E-Call and Stratos means you almost always get stratos turn one, and stratos is a +1, a good 4-star beater, and allows you to set up for any fusion summon and a rank 4 ifyou didn't open other monsters, all for the cost of a single normal summon. They got rid of Stratos, but gave you an E-Call to compensate, so you have the same searching power, just not the almost guaranteed plus one beater and set-up turn one. Also, while they didn't hit stuff like Gravity Bind, they did hit BTH, Compulsory, Solemn Judgment, and TT, so now getting a summon off is much easier.
I think they're just still trying to stop the heiratic/gishki loop, and it has nothing to do with pure gishki.
Heavy MR and PoA banned, with Giant Trunade not coming back? Are they joking? I guess decrees for everyone. Edit: I guess they did hit traps pretty hard though, especially on-summon traps.
You can do that? I tried launching two clients, but that didn't work.. Can you join the same duel twice from the same client? Edit: So you can, that's interesting. Edit: I just had the most dysfunctional four-way duel against myself... All using harpies. We had like five copies of the field spell, but only drew about three harpies in total.. And about six BTHs.. Edit back to topic: I'm shifting my sleep schedule, so when I have time is slightly unpredictable, but it would be fun to try.
