Personally, I think either KH music or rock, maybe even techno.
ooc: That is a very good idea... If we pester Doxyc long enough he'll probably make one.
Atlantica bothered me as well. It was the only thing that really bothered me. Loved Demyx's scream...and his weird laugh.
occ: Its maddening...I love everyone's stories but I hate the cliffhangers. Rowen spun around to see who was running toward him just in time to see Amaya before she hugged him. "I thought you were...gone," she said, her voice full of relief. She let him go and gasped. Gashes covered his chest and arms and he looked dead on his feet. Amaya stepped back a little to give him some breathing room. "I'm still here," he reassured her with a grim smile. "Just got banged up a little. Now we'd better get going before more monsters come." Just then a strange man appeared out of a haze of darkness. He ignored the two kids at first and looked around. "This world does not hold what I seek," he announced to no one in particular. "Completely useless. It will fade into the darkness like all the rest." "Are you the one responsible for this?" Amaya demanded. She started to approach the man, but she felt Rowen hold her back; a silent reminder that she had no weapon and would have a disadvantage in a fight. "Possibly," the stranger answered. He then looked at Rowen and shot him a malevolent grin. "Funny...I had thought you would be one, but you're just a weakling." The man held up his hand and out of shot a powerful blast of electricity at Rowen, but the boy dodged it and charged toward the man with his sword drawn. Amaya was about to rush forward to help, but she was tackled by a Neoshadow and pinned to the ground. "Get off of me!" she yelled, but the thing forced its clawed hand into her chest and started to pull at something out of her. Amaya quickly grabbed a hold of its arm. She knew if she let go, she was done for. There was a sickening thud to her left, and she looked in that direction in time to see a body fall. Her eyes widened at the sight of it. The stranger walked over to Amaya and looked down at her with a smirk. "Enjoy being a Heartless," he said, vanishing into a portal of darkness. As if on cue, the Neoshadow tried harder to remove her heart. Sudenly, in a small flash of light a heavy object appeared in her hand. She used the object to stab through the Heartless. After it was gone, she shakily stood up and looked at the object. A key...but also a sword. She then looked at the body on the ground. A small piece of something instantly broke inside her and her whole body was wracked with pain. "Ro-Rowen." She fell back to the ground and blacked out. --- Amaya awoke with a start and looked around suddenly. It all came back to her...Her father...The monsters invading...The strange man...And the key-shaped weapon she still grasped in her hand. She looked at her surroundings. The world had gotten worse since she had fallen unconscious. She then looked over to her left and saw a boy not much older than herself stabbed through the chest with a sword. She could swear that she never saw him before in her life, but something told her she had. At that moment, a portal opened in front of her and out of it stepped a single knight holding a large Keyblade. He glanced around like the strange man had, sighing. "I'm too late," he said, obviously ashamed. "This world is already at its end." He looked at Amaya thoughtfully and the weapon in her hand. "You're the only one left." She nodded. "You're welcome to come with me," he offered simply. "Yes, I'll go," she answered. But she didn't move. Her attention was still fixated on the dead boy's face. "There will be time to mourn the your loved ones later," the knight reminded her gently. "I don't even know him," she responded flatly. Slowly, she joined the knight at the portal and stepped through.
The sky above was chaotic with black clouds and buildings were collapsing; it almost as if the world itself was on the verge of breaking apart. People were rapidly being attacked and turned into Heartless. Seeing no other option, Amaya began to run for the city gates. She looked over her shoulder just in time to see several Neoshadows leap toward her, and she dodged their attacks, but they mercilessly continued to pursue her. She picked up a lead pipe and slashed them. It was a long, hard path to the gates. Countless times she would have to stop and defend herself from the Heartless or change direction because a Darkside started to appear in her way. But eventually, she made it out of the city. The land outside was barren and desolate. It was starting to seem like she was the only one who had escaped when she spotted a figure in the distance. Eagerly, she ran for the person, and even though his back was turned she recognized him instantly.
You gotta love them because they're all powerful, evil, and...cool. Plus, 90% of them are huggable. *hugs Axel*
Great song, I love the element of rock in it.
ooc: I meant first. Don't know why I typed second... But I didn't say he was dead. PS: Yeah Xarend, sounds good.
ooc: XD Oh really? EDIT: That's the first person to get a keyblade...*Cheers loudly for Zaven*
The sun was moments from setting as Amaya and Rowen finally made it to the city plaza where large crowds of people gathered daily. "Alright," Rowen whispered, "I'll calmly tell everyone what happened. That way nobody will get scared." "I think its too late for that," Amaya said. She pointed over to where a mass of shadow was forming. Every person became eerily quiet as a huge monster came out with a gaping, heart-shaped hole in its chest rose out. Thousands of the small creatures began to materialize everywhere. The large monster took a step forward, and instantly the people started to yell, pushing and shoving everything in their panic. Amaya and Rowen watched in horror as several of the creatures swarmed over a group of people and took their hearts, turning the people into creatures as well. Rowen swung his sword as several of the creatures. "We have to run and leave this city for good." "What if this isn't the only place they are," she argued. "What if the whole world is like this?" "I don't know," he replied, "But no matter what, we have to stay together." He made a motion for her to take his hand. "...Okay." She reached for his hand, but just then another large monster appeared from behind them. It took its giant hand and hit Amaya, sending her flying back several yards. It only took her a moment to recover from the attack, but she could not locate her friend among the screaming people. Rowen was gone.
That evening Amaya received a note from her father. In it he informed her of the situation; small shadow-like monsters had appeared outside the city and they were attacking people. Hazardous as they were, it was up to the military to eliminate them. "They're pretty formidable for such little creatures," he wrote. "But we should be able to get rid of them completely in a few days." But over the course of the next few days things started getting out of hand. The creatures were growing in number; for every one they destroyed, two would take their place. And the men were slowly being killed off. --- Amaya opened the front door as soon as she heard the knock. It was the same nervous officer from several days back. "Yes?" The officer held out a letter. "I apologize," he said, "For being the bearer of bad news again." She felt herself pale slightly. "What is that supposed to mean?" Amaya asked coldly. Without waiting for him to answer, she snatched the letter and slammed the door in his face. She then tore open the envelope and started to skim over the letter. Her eyes caught the words 'Regret to inform you' and 'deceased' before she dropped it in shock. Just then, she heard a second knock at the door. Amaya all but ripped the door of its hinges. "I don't want your sympathy," she snarled. "Leave or I swear I-" "Amaya?" It wasn't the officer as she had expected. Instead, Rowen was standing there with a stunned expression on his face. "Sorry," she whispered. "I thought...Never mind. You picked the worst time to stop by." "What happened?" he asked anxiously. "You look terrible. C'mon, a walk will clear your head." She nodded and him followed down the street. "So what happened?" "Dad is dead," she replied, feeling a few tears start to run down her cheeks. Rowen's face filled with dread and sorrow. "I'm sorry," he said. "He was a great man." "I know. It hurts to even think about him, but I know I'll always treasure his memory in my heart." She wiped away the tears and looked thoughtfully at the sun as it started to set. If someone as strong as her father had died, then the creatures posed an even bigger threat than they imagined. "So," she asked, trying to change the subject, "Is the school all its cracked up to be?" Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain as something clawed her back. Gritting her teeth as she turned around, she saw that it was a small black thing with yellow eyes and wriggling antenna. Regretting the fact that she had left her own weapon at home, she snatched Rowen's sword, Breaker, from his sheath and slashed at the creature. It instantly dissolved into black mist. "Was it just me," she asked Rowen, "Or was that..." "Yes," he agreed, now worried. "Those things can get in now. We have to warn everyone." Rowen held his hand out for his sword. "Don't worry, I'll protect you." Amaya reluctantly handed it to him. He then grabbed her hand the two ran for the middle of the city. PS: Congrats Doxyc!!!
(Better late than never, right?) Happy Birthday Mamoru Miyano! ...I want Riku on MY birthday cake.
That's a very gorgeous tag. Personally I like it the way it is but if you think more color is the way to go, then go for it.
ooc: Darn, I had hoped that no one had read it yet so I could fix things. Thanks though. Yours were great, can't wait to see what you post next.
I agree with 2Foxxie4U. I don't mind it, though it would be nice if whole game could be high def. But this is reality and reality is...Weird.
ooc: I'm posting the first part of my story. It would be so much better off if it remained a mystery. Amaya sat on a high brick wall and leafed through a large textbook that she had set on her lap. Suddenly a rock shot by her head and she looked down to see who had thrown it. It was Rowen; the boy was looking up at her as smug as ever. He was two years older and took every oppurtune moment to antagonize her. "What do you want?" she asked sharply. "I'm busy!" Rowen shook his head in dismay. "Don't tell me you're studying for your test already?" She shrugged offhandedly. "A little," she admitted. "It never hurts to be prepared." "Forget I asked and just get down here," he ordered. "Go bother someone else," she suggested, taking up her book again. A faint smile formed on Rowen's face. "Fine. I was just going to tell you that the commander has returned." "Dad is back?" she asked excitedly. Her father was a captain in the military and had been away for the past few months on a mission, and after so long she would be thrilled to see him. Without warning, she leapt off the wall, almost landing on top of Rowen in the process. "Thanks for telling me," she said gratefully. "No problem." The two of them started walking together. "I have some other news for you," Rowen added mischievously. "I took the entrance exams for the military academy, and I've been accepted." He looked dismayed when Amaya didn't seem jealous. The school she had been referring to was where all aspiring soldiers attended. Amaya's father had attended, and both she and Rowen had wanted to go there as well. "I'm not allowed to apply for another two years, not until I'm finished with regular school," she reminded him. "Remember? The age limit is fifteen or older." "True," he sighed. "It's too bad. You fight better than all those other rookies that got accepted. Of course, you still won't ever beat me." Ignoring his last statement, she replied, "The only reason I can fight at all is because dad taught me." Amaya made a face. "But I've got a long way to go before I'm half the fighter he is." The two of them turned off the concrete sidewalk and into the her yard. Instead of her father standing by the front door as she had expected, a man in uniform was standing there and looking at her expectantly. Amaya walked up to the young officer. "What are you doing here?" she demanded, "Where is my father?" The young officer shook slightly as he saluted her. "H-he's been called away again. He a-asked me to s-stay and tell you." "But he just got back!" Amaya said in surprise. "How can they call him back so soon?" The young officer turned to look over the horizon and past the city limits. "There's something wrong out there," the officer said, now a little composed. "We're not sure what it is, but the higher ups thought he was the best for the job." He winced sympathetically. "I apologize." Amaya waved him off. "No...No...Not your fault. Dismissed." The soldier saluted her again and quickly left. "You might as well take the entrance exams," Rowen joked. "You already act like a full fledged general." "I was just angry, you know I'm not cut out for too much commanding. Or even fighting..." "So then why do you want to be a soldier?" "To protect the people I care about, is there any other real reason?" She sighed, looking out to where the officer had talked about. "I hope he'll be okay."
Note to self: Never become a Sora fangirl. Overall, very cute and funny. Nice work!
Great! Now I can finally get a better look at the Bond of Flame and Ultima weapon!
ooc: Nice intro. Very...Suspenseful.
ooc: Really? I'm writing mine, but its so...corny. Do you still have writer's block 13th?
