"I came through a portal too," Sera said to Kam. "And my name is Sera."
Sera looked up in confusion at the girl who had just joined them. "What?" Then she noticed that she also had a strange sword. "Yeah, I guess so." She looked over her shoulder at the Keyblade that had pierced the boy's chest. "So how do we help him?" she asked the others, dropping down on the ground beside them.
ooc: Another loooooong post. "What is that?" Tsuki cried At the entrance to the alleyway was a small black creature with glowing yellow eyes and wiry antennae. Sera could have described it as cute, but the thing made her feel uneasy. Before anyone could react, it leapt toward Jared and sent him sprawling onto the ground. Sera quickly delivered a sharp kick to it, and the creature flew back several feet and hit the wall. "Heartless," Sera growled, then shook her head as if she were in a daze. Where did that word come from? The creature's impact with wall didn't harm it much, and it quickly got back on its feet. "Run," she told her friends. "Get help!" "But what about you?" Jared argued. "I'll be fine. GO!" Tsuki nodded and ran out of the alleyway. Jared hesitated, then followed her. The Heartless jumped straight for Sera and was about to slash her with its claws. She threw her hand up to protect her face, but at that exact moment, light began to emanate around her hand and suddenly she was grasping a heavy sword. Without thinking twice she swung the blade at the creature, and it dissipated into a puddle of shadow. Sera sighed in relief, then she took a moment to examine the sword and she saw that it resembled a key. Was the creature behind the disappearances, she thought, or was something else- The next instant, she fell through into a portal of darkness. --- Sera found herself on the ground of an unfamiliar town, with people running wildly in all directions. "Where am I?" Sera whispered. "And what's going on?" Out of the corner of her eye she spotted a dark figure holding two weapons, then watched as he released one. In releasing the weapon it impaled a nearby boy. Sera watched two other people run toward the injured boy. She raced toward them.

ooc: I can't think of anything else, so I'm just gonna gradually jump into Twilight Town. "A scratch?" Sera, Tsuki, and Jared turned to the voice. It was the woman from the commitee. She looked ready to have a nervous breakdown, but she laughed. "I wish there was a scratch, that would be a lot simpler than all of this." "What's going on?" Sera asked, stepping closer to the woman. "Half of the commitee is gone," the woman confessed, her tone indicating that she wanted this kept between the four of them. "And not just them: We've received reports all day that civilians have been disappearing, but we're not sure why." "Missing?" Jared repeated in horror, and before he could do anything crazy like offer to track down the source of the problem, Sera grabbed him and started to pull him away, saying over her shoulder, "Good luck with that, and thanks for telling us about the problem." Jared didn't struggle to get away, which was good because if he did he would suceed. "We should help her," he stated calmly. Sera rolled her eyes. "Oh yeah, Mr. Knight-In-Shining-Armor, and do what? Wander around the whole city and hope we somehow find where they went without disappearing ourselves?" She pulled him over to a nearby alleyway and let go of him. To her relief, she saw Tsuki had followed her. "This isn't our problem," she said to both of them. "We should just enjoy the rest of the day. The authorities will handle this." Sera saw Tsuki gasp at something from over Sera's shoulder. "Maybe it is our problem," Sera mumbled, backing away slightly. Jared and Sera turned to see what scared her and gasped as well.

The charms and keyblades are cool. If they weren't so expensive I'd buy one for myself.

The trio finally made their way to the Postern and took their places among the crowd just in time for one of the Commitee members to take her place at the podium. "We're pleased to announce," she began, "Our hundreth year since the city was brought back to its former glory. An event of such magnitude could not have happened without the first Commitee taking charge. Many of you know that we planned on erecting a statue in that commitee's honor. However..." She paused nervously, then said, "We'll have to reschedule the unveiling of the memorial for a few hours. Until then, please enjoy the festivities." She stepped down. Sera and Tsuki exchanged bewildered looks. "Reschedule?" Tsuki said faintly. "But I was looking forward to-" "Don't worry about it," Jared said. "They said they'd show us the statue in a couple hours." "But why reschedule?" Sera asked curiously. "They've been preparing this thing for months." Jared shrugged. "Maybe they found a crack?"
"What next?" Jared asked, tossing his popsicle stick into the nearest trash can. Sera shrugged and threw her stick away. "We can head to the Postern," she suggested. "The Commitee is going to have a speech there before they present the new memorial." Tsuki and Jared nodded in agreement, though Sera noticed Jared didn't seem to like the idea of listening to a speech. "C'mon," she said sweetly, grabbing his arm and tugging him toward theh Postern. "You're such a baby." A grin appeared on his face. "Me? You're the one who's younger." "By the way you act nobody can tell," she replied. Tsuki quietly followed the pair with an amused look on her face.

Sera exited the museum quickly, glancing at the flamboyant banners that read, "Radiant Garden's 100th year of Restoration." The Restoration Anniversary was one of the holidays that everyone looked forward to, but Sera felt strangely glum. 'Gotta stay out of that museum from now on,' she thought with a slight smirk. Before long she made it to a fountain where a few her friends were sitting. "Hey Sera," a girl named Tsuki greeted, patting a spot beside her. "Where have you been?" "Don't ask," Sera replied, about to sit down when she spotted a vendor passing out free ice cream to commemorate the day. She quickly went over and asked for three, then went back to her friends and passed them out. "Thanks," Jared said when he took the ice cream from her. Sera nodded and sat beside him, starting to eat the icr cream and savoring the flavor. "Sea Salt is the best, isn't it?" she asked, not speaking to anyone in particular. Her friends nodded enthusiastically.
Sera pretended to be fascinated with the museum exhibits, but her mind was focused on why the heck she kept coming to the decrepit Radiant Garden Museum. The guide gestured to a display that held a gunblade and a shuriken. "These weapons belonged to a group of people that restored our city after a difficult period of time. A man named Leon was one notable figure, as well as Yuffie, Aerith, Cid, and Merlin." Sera raised her hand. "Yes, does someone have a question?" "I was wondering..." she said quietly, "If there was any mention of someone else." The guide nodded. "Well yes, a few records did mention a man named Cloud, but he disappeared-" "Not him," Sera interuppted. "Somone else, a boy." The guide laughed. "Oh, I know what you're getting at young lady. No, the people I mentioned, the former Hollow Bastion Restoration Commitee, are the only ones who staved off the darkness. This boy you're thinking about is a legend and nothing more." The girl smiled to hide her disappointment. "I thought so."
