¶ "Walk with me?"Ava had hardly finished asking before she was already off in the direction of the woods. Feall smiled and let out a sigh as he followed her, adjusting his mask and jacket. Ava was a few paces ahead when she turned around for a moment. "You know, I've been wanting to go out with you ..." Feall stopped in his tracks as Ava continued walking. What did she mean by this, she said it so nonchalantly. Did she simply mean just get out of the house? That would be silly. Feall knew that she had feelings for him, ever since that one fateful evening...

Flashback

Feall looked at Ava with eyes widened, he couldn't believe that she'd just confessed that she loved him. The brunette standing at the foot of his bed as he lay there, book in hand with music softly buzzing from the one earbud he'd taken out. "Y-you love me!?" he finally asked. She didn't answer but just looked at him as if expecting an answer. "I, uh, I love you to, you know, like a sister...that's what you meant, right?" He knew it wasn't, but he was hoping for a way out of this. Feall had feeling for Ava, too, but he hadn't wanted to do anything about it...they had something good going, they practically spent all of their time together anyway, and making it into some sort of official "relationship" would only put stress on their dynamic and possibly ruin things between them. Ava looked at Feall, drying to hide the disappointment on her face, though, she wasn't doing a good job. "Y-yeah...I just wanted to let you know in case something happened..'big bro'.." She said, walking over to punch him in the arm before walking away.​

As Ava led the way down the gravel path, through the trees and the wildlife, Feall spoke up. "You know, I uh, I kind of haven't been honest with you these past couple years." Ava looked over her shoulder at Feall, with a slight look of concern in her eyes, she slowed down her pace a bit to let him catch up with her. "I um..back when you told me you loved me. I uh, I knew what you meant and I..ah." He nervously played with his keys in his pocket. "I guess what I'm trying to say is that I uh-" Before he could finish his sentence, he felt Ava grab his hand with both of hers. His stomach twisted into a knot and his heart skipped a beat for a moment, but he didn't pull away. He simply blushed and turned to look at her. She was staring at him with a huge grin on her face, the tiny beams of light that made it through the canopy overhead making her eyes glisten behind her glasses. Feall blushed once more and turned to face forward with the most nervous attempt at a "normal" face he could make. "About time you fessed up." he heard her say.

The pair continued on in silence for a few more minutes until they heard running water. Ava instantly lit up and took a few steps ahead, tugging on his arm as she turned around to face him. "Come on" she said as she practically pulled him in the direction of the sound. A short way off of the trail they came to a small creek that ran through the woods. The gentle sound of the water mixed with the calls of the semi-aquatic life to create a serene and romantic atmosphere. Out here it was just the two of them, alone in this beautiful little corner of the woods. They both spotted a large rock in the center of the stream a few dozen yards away and headed in that direction. There were a few other rocks and bits of trees that they could use as a makeshift bridge to reach it. Feall went first, to make sure it was stable. After making it he waved to Ava who made her way across. He helped her up and the two of them sat together watching the leaves and other bits of nature that happened to get caught in the creek pass by.

After a few minutes of sitting in silence, Feall asked Ava a question that had been bothering him for a while."So why did you get it...Cupid's Brew, I mean."

¶ Ava stepped into the kitchen and watched as Feall finished setting the table, she seemed a little offbeat, likely because Feall hadn't woken her up to help with breakfast. "Good Morning, Feall. What's got you awake and cooking?" Feall hadn't really given it much thought, he had really just wanted to do something different for Ava. "Oh, I, umm. I just decided I wanted to make you breakfast." Being the gentleman Feall always thought himself, he pulled out Ava's chair for her. Ava roller her eyes at him in a sassy fashion before sitting down. Despite this he felt like some part of her secretly enjoyed his chivalry, or perhaps he was just fooling himself, but he knew he didn't intend to stop.

As the two of them ate, Feall spoke up. "Did you want to do anything today? Mom and Dad will be gone until late afternoon. I know there's the sickness going around, but maybe we could go out for a bit. From what I can tell, as long as we avoid people, we shouldn't be at risk..." Ava chimed in excitedly "Sure! Um ... I was thinking about maybe renting a movie, but that sounds kind of boring. ... We should go to the park! There shouldn't be very many people and we can get some fresh air." Feall swallowed a bite and smiled. "The sounds like fun, let's hurry up and finish our work for the day." The duo finished their meals and cleaned up their mess. Feall noticed that the lesson he had missed yesterday in one of his classes was being taught by someone other than his professor, Erik, which was a bit unusual. He decided not to think anything of it and headed next door to Ava's room, he gave a light knock to see if she was finished. "I'm all done with my work, if you are, I'll be in the living room." She replied with a lighthearted "Okay!"

Feall didn't wait long before Ava stepped out of her room and the two of them grabbed their jackets, put on their masks, and headed out the door.
