To me it seems quite obvious that the Memory Card got fried up. You are saying it yourself, that you've bought another CB and Replaced your PS2, only thing left to check is the Mem Card... Buy another mem card and tell us how it goes, since IIRC there's no way to format a Memory Card. They should be pretty cheap these days. EDIT: Delete all the code data. And put it back in. Some code may be messing up with the actual addresses of the Memory Card, thus making it corrupt. Is there a code you've saved in recently? if so then delete all recent codes. and see how it goes...
