"What's that supposed to mean?" Daeni asked, utterly confused. "Is Ria a monster or something?" Daeni pondered this, chuckling lightly to herself before shaking her head. "But, I saw the memory long before everyone else. I saw it through....someone else's eyes." Daeni admitted. "I tried to talk, but...the words...weren't coming. Even now, I'm having...trouble." she said, looking frustrated. She was doing so well and suddenly, she started locking up again. What was she gonna do, suffer forever?
Thank you all for letting me know I godmod. It's my biggest achievement ever. I love you all.
Ananta watched Aislinn and nodded at her. True, they weren't going to bite, but she couldn't help feeling like that was going to be proven wrong. Though when she saw she was going to the same world as Hikaru, Kaida, and Aux, Ananta hoped to see just what Kaida meant. As far as Ananta could tell, this Aux apparently didn't dabble in the dark stuff. Maybe some time space crap was going on. Something that made another version of Aux appear. Whatever the case, Ananta was definitely going to try and keep an open mind about all of this. Besides, the only bad guy she truly hated was Nequa anyway. So as far as Ananta was concerned, Aux wasn't bad to her. Yet. Approaching Aux, Ananta looked at him and tapped her chin. Now she understood why Kaida was so upset about Aux and everything. Chuckling, Ananta hopped through the portal a little too happily.
Ananta watched the board change and she gritted her teeth. She was stuck with two people who she was sure hated her right now. She moved to stand next to them, but kept quiet as thoughts entered into her head on what they possibly thought of her. She reached into her shirt and pulled out her crystal necklace. She brought it to her lips and kissed it, whispering a chant as it lit up in her hand. It wasn't bright, but it at least helped to calm her nerves a little.
Daeni stayed quiet, having been ignored. She listened to the conversations around her and considered what they had said. While she wanted to just get away from it all, it wouldn't feel right to do so. "Maybe we'll find the masters at the end of the tunnel?" She questioned. Chrys then spoke up about something and that Daeni to stop in her tracks. She turned cautiously towards Chrys. "Please don't tell me Ria knows where we are because of some connection thing." Daeni begged.
"That explains Kaida's reaction to what I said..." Ananta sighed, crossing her arms. "I was in the realm of darkness longer than they were. The fact she doesn't remember that hurts a little, but I guess when you're so infatuated with an old friend, you tend to ignore others." She whispered the last part to herself out of frustration. "Well, if Kaida ever asks, I'll be sure to remind her I had no part when everyone got ducked into the black hole." she said, clenching her fist. Ananta was mad she wasn't able to be there. She could have done something...anything, to stop another world from plunging into darkness. It still stung when she remembered her own world's end and she did not want that to happen again. "Ignis, I'm no good with words sometimes. I mess up a lot and say the wrong things. Please don't let that affect anything." Ananta said, almost as if begging.
Well, Ananta was certainly not surprised that everyone had moved on. It was better that way. Especially after her royal screw up. Although, Ananta was confused about something. When the names appeared on the board, she saw her partner was Ignis. Thank goodness she could be paired with somebody that hopefully didn't hate her guts currently. Ananta approached Ignis and looked at her. "Maybe you can clear something up. What did Kaida mean when she said Aux is the reason we're here now? I wasn't with the group for awhile, so I think I missed some things..." she admitted.
Ananta listened to the recording and closed her eyes. "We better save this for later, yea." she said, opening her eyes again. "Kaida...I'm sorry. My brain spurts out words faster than it needs to. It's not much of an apology, but you're right about Aux. I just can't help but think better of people than what they've done to me.." She stood up. "Maybe that's why Karina hated me. I'm too naive for my own good..." she mumbled the last part, thinking about the recording. She could have sworn she heard Karina talk about this before. In all honesty, it hurt Ananta a little bit to think Karina equated Ananta's persistence to the abuse of her father. She wasn't that bad, was she?
Watching her refuse the handkerchief caused Ananta to sigh to herself. She put it away and looked over Kaida. "But Kaida-" she started before she watched her trip over. The contents of Kaida's bag spilled out. Her cloak and other belongings had fallen out. "I am most definitely NOT taking his side, Kaida!" she said, kneeling down to try and help her gather her items. "Believe me, I hate him as much as the rest of you, I'm just saying that there's something that he wants to do. Even if he's gone and succumbed to darkness. There's gotta be a reason for it, after all." Ananta blinked at the recorder in Kaida's hand. It looked familiar, but she couldn't put her finger on it. "Well if it's not yours, press play so we can figure out who it belongs to?"
Ananta stumbled backwards and stared at Kaida, confused for a moment before being punched in the face. She then got an earful for what she had said. Ananta listened closely to Kaida and rubbed her nose, stifling the bleeding and trying to rub the pain away. Kaida had every right to be crying right now. Ananta watned to explain her thoughts, but before she could Kaida had run through the portal to Shibuya. Damned if she didn't try to explain herself, Ananta followed behind, hopping over and standing in front of Kaida. "Can I at least explain myself?" she asked Kaida. "I don't want to make this into a me thing. The things with Aux are all about you, because he's hurt you probably the most around here. Everyone has their reasons, Kaida, whether they end up being good or bad. I'm not saying what he did was right, especially not for everyone, but we need to think that maybe, just maybe, he was trying to do the things he did for you and Hikaru." she took a deep breath and sighed. "Though I guess I didn't relay what I meant correctly in that instance. I don't want to see you crying." She said that last part a put a hand forward. In her hand was a handkerchief. "Use this to wipe your eyes and dry those tears. You're tougher than a lot of people I know."
Daeni followed behind Cerdic and walked a little ahead of him. She looked over her shoulder to him and almost wanted to say something, but instead, she turned to Alder. She walked faster and caught up to him, looking at him. "Good shot..." she said to him, her voice shaking a little bit. "Do...do you still miss Relli?" she asked, gripping her sweater. "I mean, I miss them all..." she said, referring to the others. "I know you...most likely miss him the most..." She gulped and sighed. "I just wanted to protect everyone......" she looked to Alder. "Now what do I do?" she asked, feeling overwhelmingly sad. Tears fell down her cheeks as her feet kept moving, leaving prints in the dust and dirt on the floor. "I don't...know what...to do..." her voice started to fade again, her head starting to pound. "Hurts..." she groaned, holding her head.
Ananta looked over to see the loudmouth with a megaphone start yelling at them. Apparently he was very upset they didn't make things interesting enough to him. She rolled her eyes and shook her head, watching Glen retort to him. Suddenly, Glen was gone in the blink of an eye, causing Ananta to gasp. What the heck happened to him? Was he gone forever...? not way was she able to speak up, seeing as suddenly, Nigo was revealed to be Aux to everyone. Ananta gritted her teeth, cursing herself for not saying anything sooner. Of course, they were now paralyzed and all she could do was listen to Sho. Everything after was odd to Ananta, but she understood it all. Although the others from less developed worlds probably felt like fish out of water. Either way, Ananta sighed and looked over to Kaida and Hikaru. "I know Aux has done some stupid things. What I believe, however, is he had a reason for doing it...no matter how ridiculous it may be." she said, trying to reassure them. "And Glen's okay! He was just digitized like the others!" Ananta shook herself and stepped closer to Hikaru. "Are you going to be okay....?" she asked, putting a hand on his shoulder.
Looking over her shoulder, Ananta nodded at Steel. "You're right, but we better leave now. We've got a lot more work ahead of us anyway." she said, stepping towards where Nigo went. She closed her eyes and reopened them, first noticing cushions and bits of chairs everywhere. She then saw blood on the ground and Ignis, sobbing over something. Ananta felt her natural instincts overwhelm her and she ran over, stopping and looking at Luna first. "Is she okay?" she asked, looking at Ignis. Without hesitating, Ananta took Ignis' hand and started to try and cover it with a bit of a bandage she had stashed away for times like this. Magic would heal the pain, but a bandage would keep it from hurting more. "Remember back when we were asked about what we wanted most out of life? I want to heal and protect overs. You said you wanted to protect and save people as well. I'm not so sure destroying furniture is going to save anyone." she said this, patting Ignis' hand gently while she used Cure magic. "But I can tell you this. You can still help and protect those here. You're better than whatever haunts you. Right?" Ananta looked Ignis in the face. "I'm only making a guess here, but you seem to be haunted by things you can't control. We all are, I think..." Ananta closed her eyes a moment and breathed in. "I let my family and my world down. Countless lives were flickered out because I was unable to stop the darkness. I won't let that ever happen again." Ananta said, looking at Ignis. "Tell me a little bit about yourself." she said. "I want to listen to all your troubles."
Ananta smiled, watching everything come together and they were able to defeat King Candy. When she heard the explosion, she thought the worst had happened to Ralph, but to her amazement, he was right there with them as the King flew towards the beacon. Once he was defeated and all the bugs were terminated, everyone helped Vanellope cross the finish line. Upon doing so, the entire world turned bright as things were repaired and people started to regain lost memories. Even Vanellope changed into a....poofy dress. Though that was short lived as she glitched right back into her regular attire. When Vanellope went around and nudged everyone with her fist, Ananta giggled at the glitching. It felt funny and not in a bad way. More like it tickled than anything else. Ananta watched everyone else get nudged when she saw Nigo change for a split second. She blinked and looked at the board behind him. Her eyes widened when she saw the name change. "WHAT" she yelled, glaring at Nigo. Ananta wasn't sure how else to react. Hopefully she wasn't the only one that noticed.
Ananta saw everyone make their moves and she knew exactly what to do now. Something defensive. THat's for sure. Ananta used Aero on herself!
Ananta chuckled at the names that appeared on the board. She then looked up at the ugly mother of a boss they were left with. "He's flying so I have just the thing!" Ananta announced happily. She aimed her keyblade at the boss and cried out, "Gravity!" Bananta used Gravity!
old fart
"Bad choice of words, Cerdic-head." Daeni said, crossing her arms. "So what, you want us to get somewhere safe, right? Then let's just go. Mora can come too." She suggested this, seeing as leaving her here would probably be a bad idea. "I can fit her on my keyglider if she let's me tie my jacket around her and me." Though Cerdic's wording did hurt even Daeni a little. She was so into trying to protect everyone. Just as Alder was trying to protect Relli. And she failed. Miserably.
Daeni saw Chrono's glare and already knew she was in for it. She was prepared for him to just yell at her, but he didn't. That gave her a little relief. While she tried to remember what happened, she closed her eyes and focused onto that memory. When it started to come back, she opened her eyes and heard Chrono speak. "Honestly, they looked like you, but I feel like they weren't actually you. Kind of like a doppleganger?" she said. "It's not that it was you, I seriously doubt it. They just...looked like you." She didn't know how to explain it, but she could just tell that whoever that was, it most certainly wasn't Chrono. At least she felt that it wasn't him.
When Mora mentioned there only being 5 of them now, Daeni stopped mid bite. After a second, she continued to chew, but slower. Having half of them destroyed didn't sit well with her and slowly caused her stomach to churn. Swallowing the last bite of bread hard, she grabbed a container of water and sipped it happily. She drank the water and felt the tears start to fall down her cheeks. Rubbing her face, she wiped any wetness and tried to calm herself. Hopefully, she didn't look like she had cried. At this point, she wanted to try and be strong for everyone. For the sake of everyone and those she cared for, Daeni needed to be stronger than she had ever been before. She couldn't be scared of the future or what was going to happen. Even if she had her doubts, she knew she could trust in her comrades. Turning around, she glanced at everyone and stopped her eyes on Cerdic. She shook her head at the thought of the way she had acted previously. All it did was make things awkward between them and she honestly hoped he'd forget the crap that happened and move on. She hoped he wouldn't feel awkward around her. She really wanted to just move on from that, but something deep in her heart made her think if she talked to him, he'd probably bring that stuff up. Though she moved her eyes to Chrono, she couldn't help but wonder why that memory she had way earlier didn't match up with everything else. Why didn't it match up with what she saw the second time. "Chrono." she started, looking at him. "Why were you standing at the machine in our memories? Do you not know yet?" she asked. "It's okay if you don't, we kinda all don't remember everything anyway. it's just...I saw you...standing and...I..." she stopped herself, finding it hard to piece together exactly what happened in that memory. "Or was it someone else's.....?" she shook her head and put the water down.
