Qamar was glad he finally decided to spar with her. She was bored of training against Adalric and the other masters. She wanted to spar against a master from the Realm of Darkness ever since she laid eyes on him and learned of his origins. His first attack was easy to block. She just raised her keyblade and resisted his pushing. Soon enough, he tried to kick her, but she hopped away. Qamar sustained a kick to her leg which didn't hurt as much as she thought it would.

Taking her stance, Qamar held her keyblade in her left hand behind her as she watched Torrin take his stance. Her eyes flashed golden and a smile spread across her face as she started to hop around, using her speed to try and confuse Torrin. She finally stepped onto one foot in front of Torrin and unleashed a flurry of slashes from different angles, matching against his on keyblade.

Torrin was good, but Qamar didn't want him to think she was weak. She certainly wasn't weak. Torrin launched an upwards swing that she met with her own keyblade, to which he pulled and moved his keyblade to strike at her shoulder. She noticed this and quickly moved her right hand make a gesture. "Reflera." she muttered, the spell enveloping her body and taking the brunt of the pommel strike.

She then used that same hand to launch a strike at Torrin's main wrist, attempting to knock the keyblade from his hand.

Daeni sighed in relief. She was glad they all wanted to go together. "Thank goodness..." she muttered, following along the others. As they reached their destination, they stopped a moment to see the castle in the distance. Then she looked to find the trees she remembered. Cerdic was already down and messing with the tree and rocks. She looked to Mora and nodded to herself. "Get on my back." she said as she ducked down and had Mora climb her back.

Sliding down the hill, she stopped at the bottom and let Mora off her back. "Mora, if your side doesn't heal soon, you need to let us know....you're not exactly fighting fit." she commented, patting Mora's head. "Please stay with Alder and Chrono. They're stronger than me." she smiled.

Running over to the tree, Daeni stopped when a memory rushed into her head. For a moment, she was confused on whose memories these were. Suddenly, she got reminded and she gasped a moment. Daeni grit her teeth as she put her hand on the tree and saw a star. She then looked down at one of the rocks and began to move it. She shoved it to the side and grabbed the paper that was hidden beneath it.

"Found it." she smirked, looking to Cerdic. "I think...I think....Marley hid these." Daeni commented to Cerdic. "So that makes me wonder if maybe he hid more of these pages. It's just pretty convenient we keep remembering other peoples' memories, though...."

Having crossed back over to the other side, Ananta stood alone for a minute. She was lamenting on not being able to sit on Aux's head still. It was so much easier than having to walk or fly around. Unlike her other companions, she didn't really have too much trouble moving. Though when Megumi came back and gave them all sorts of new powers and things, Ananta looked up and saw Aux was still with them. Through their adventures in the Pride Lands, Ananta was really wondering if they were supposed to still be suspicious of him. After all, he worked with the group and helped them just as much as anybody else.

Ananta didn't care that he was talking to others, she walked over and tapped his shoulder. She was curious of one thing. "Aux, when this is over, you're going to stick with us...aren't you?" she asked, not wanting to say goodbye so soon. Aux was a cool guy, she wanted to be a friend. Even if Kaida might get angry about it, Ananta already felt like she could be Aux's friend.

"And uh, sorry about the head sitting. Your hat's clean, see?" she said, tapping at her head, indicating he ought to check.

Her body froze after hearing Boreas confirm that he recognized the armor. It came from the Realm of Darkness. Words from her mother echoed in her head as she stood agape, not moving. While she still heard and listened to the words others were saying, her mind was elsewhere, remembering her mother’s final words.

Eifa laid upon on her bed, her breathing shallow. Ravana was in another room, not paying much attention. He knew her time was coming, he just couldn’t handle it and his head hurt. He left Qamar in the room to let her spend her last few moments with her mother.

“Qamar...my moon….sweetie…” Eifa cried, watching the 5 year old run towards her bed. Eifa raised her hand weakly and put it on Qamar’s cheek. “Please...the photo...keep it hidden….Ravana will destroy it….”

Qamar nodded. She had already hidden the photo before, knowing it was important. “Mommy, why’s your breath funny sounding?” she asked, climbing onto the bed.

“Mommy’s not….mommy’s not gonna be around anymore…” Eifa spoke sadly to Qamar. “But mommy will always love you and will always be with you….” Eifa grunted and coughed, clutching her chest. She then looked at Qamar. “Ravana isn’t your real...father….your real father….is elsewhere.” she said. “That picture is...a clue….one day you’ll understand….until then, please….please keep it….and please….do as Ravana says or….or...he’ll….hurt you…”

Eifa was close to losing her battle with her sickness. She looked upon Qamar once more. “So...please...find your real father….one day...he’ll….he’ll be happy to see you.” she said this, her hand on Qamar’s cheek. Eifa’s eyes closed and her hand slid off of Qamar’s face.

“Mommy…?” Qamar blinked, tears pricking at her eyes. “Mommy!” she screamed, reaching forward and grabbing Eifa’s clothes. She shook her mother’s body over and over, crying and sniffling. Her body began to emit a dark aura. Her eyes grew more gold as she fell into despair. Eifa’s body started to disintegrate, bits and pieces floating off and dark wisps taking over her body. She soon disappeared and left Qamar on the bed, unable to comprehend what happened.

Qamar screamed and felt the darkness deep within her start to bubble and burst out around her. Objects fell to the ground as Ravana ran into the room and saw what was happening. Ravana wasn’t exactly surprised. He only smiled to himself and walked over, grabbing Qamar to hug her. “It’s okay sweetie….we’ll be okay….” he said, already devising a plan.

Qamar came back to reality once Aria finished speaking. Qamar actually agree with Aria and wanted to question her Masters, but she didn’t dare speak up once Master Gero started to speak. “Interference from the Realm of Darkness…” she whispered. That hurt her, having realized something. She shook her head and stood back up as before. Apparently the Light Chaser already knows that Aria is here. Luckily the Council were what kept him away.

She nodded when Torrin mentioned not forcing Aria to stay. She strongly agreed and would do anything to keep them from confining Aria to a fate similar to hers. Gero spoke down to Torrin and that even ticked off Qamar. She knew he meant well, but the way he shot down every word Torrin said...every suggestion...it was like Master Gero didn’t care about anyone who hailed from the Realm of Darkness. Even if they had shown they meant no harm. Master Gero spoke of their plans and told them they’d have a trail to follow, making things easier for them. Qamar shrugged.

Soon they were all dismissed and Qamar finally sighed in relief. She bowed respectfully to the Master’s and turned to look at the others as they left. She watched Torrin move off and she knew he’d be the one she’d go to once she saw he wasn’t busy. Tinarah had already left and Qamar didn’t dare chase after her. Atmos had grabbed Take and walked out with him. Having a boy like him there was honestly sickening to Qamar. He didn’t belong here. He belonged home and growing up. The same could be said about all of the younger ones. It pained Qamar seeing them having to fight a battle meant for adults.

Exiting the Council room, she followed behind Torrin and Aria. Once Aria left Torrin, Qamar saw this as her chance to try and approach him. “Torrin...are you okay?” she asked. She stood nearby and heard music play. It was pleasant at least. “I know Master Gero spoke rudely...I’m sorry about that. It...it kind of hurts to hear those words, honestly?” she said this, giving no context to what she meant. “I can’t imagine what it feels like to be so...judged.”

Shrugging, Qamar faced Torrin. “I know you’ve gotta have some pent up frustration. Don’t forget my offer for a sparring match. I know exactly where to go, too.” she said, grabbing his arm tightly. “And no, you can’t say no to this now. You’ve got nothing to do, anyway. Your knight is off and Aria’s busy with Tinarah. Who else would you talk to anyway? People don’t exactly like darkness, apparently.” she said, guiding him along as they walked. She didn’t answer his questions as they made their way down to the ground floor and out the back of the castle, going towards a meditation area.

It was the same area that Qamar had meditated in earlier that day. And honestly, they got there pretty quickly thanks to her walking fast. Qamar finally let go and stepped backwards a few steps. “No holding back?” she said, smiling at him. “I wanna see just how strong this darkness a prince could have really is. You move first, she said.”

Itzal wrote in his journal of his days duties. He sighed and scratched his head, putting his pen down. He leaned back and stared at the ceiling, thinking about his family. Suddenly, the face of the woman he loves flashed in his mind as tears fell from his eyes suddenly. He blinked and touched his cheeks, wondering why he was crying. Realization hit and he gasped, holding himself as he started to cry over his desk, wanting to hit himself for not stopping her.

Mora's suggestion to split up made Daeni shake her head vigorously. "No no no, I dont want to lose anybody else." she said, shaking her head more. "Please, can't we all just go?" she begged, looking at the others. "I really don't want that..."

Deep down, Daeni feared losing anybody else. At this point, she would rather just abandon the stupid extractor.

Qamar listened to her Master and knew what he was saying just wasn’t what she wanted. She didn’t want to shy away from darkness. She wanted to come to accept her own darkness, but staying away from a person from the realm of darkness would only make things worse. As far as Qamar has seen, Torrin may have an anger problem, but everyone keeps assuming things and she just wanted to get to know him better.

Looking at Kide, Qamar tucked the picture away in her pocket and sighed. “I’ll have to ask him or one of the two from the realm of darkness later….” she said, frowning. If only she could figure out that story her mother told her back when she was a child. She just knows that that story would play a big role in figuring out the man in the picture. After all, that was a wedding band on her mother’s finger, so why would this guy be her uncle?

Master Kidemonas’ comments about being able to become a Master, Qamar felt a little disappointed. They had both been working hard and were both capable of taking care of themselves by this point. Sure when she first came she was much younger. At the ripe age of 15, she definitely needed help getting things done and learning things, but she was older now. Heck, she considered Stamatis to be a father figure and Aster a mother figure. They were the two who helped her a lot when Kidemonas was busy being himself. They gave her so much advice along with the other members of the Council of Lights, she considered them all to be the closest thing to a family she’ll ever have. Adalric was….more a friend than anything special, though. They didn’t talk much, but she cherished each moment, even if she made him apologize for her most of the time.

When Kide mentioned controlling her darkness, Qamar couldn’t help but think of master Skia. That woman was able to use her darkness and use it well. Qamar aspired to be like her and hoped to one day be like her. At this point, though she had her own problems, so she figured maybe aspiring to be Skia would be on the back burner.

“I’m taking this to the kitchen, I’ll be seeing you at the Council room.” Qamar said, bowing to her Master as she left. She carried the tray to the kitchen and quickly ran back up the tower towards Gero’s room. She knew his study was up there and maybe she’d be able to catch him or even get in there herself. She knew it was off-limits, but it couldn’t help to try, right? She stopped at the door and found that she just couldn’t unlock it. Not even using her keyblade worked. Grumbling, she ran back away, not caring right now. She just wanted to get that meeting over with.

She met with the rest of the guests in the council room. Qamar took her spot next to Adalric and joined him in bowing to the Master’s as they sat down. She stood at attention, listening to Master Gero speak of the events that were going on at this time. The news of the Light Chaser was something Qamar didn’t really know much about. She just knew that the Council of Lights knew him. Once it was revealed that the Light Chaser could have been stopped, but the three that knew him best failed. He then went on to mention the Seven. Her heart raced, knowing full well that she was probably, at this point, going to go and rescue the remaining Seven.

For the reason of Gero’s absence, Qamar was surprised to hear he was actually teleported to some strange realm for 6 years. Glancing over at Tinarah, Qamar saw how scared the girl was. Her recounting of the story made Qamar remember her own father and how he was forcing Qamar to try and use her own darkness to get him what he wanted. She was only 5 when her mother died from an illness and left Qamar with her “father”. For years, she was subjected to using her darkness to get her father what he wanted. That was, until she gained her keyblade at the age of 13. She finally turned on him one day and stabbed her father in the chest, watching his heart fly out and her darkness enveloped his physical form, turning him into a being known as a heartless.

Qamar started to listen to Tinarah closer when she was speaking of the Light Chaser. She spoke of being promised to be returned home and finding her brother. He pushed her off and she somehow lived. Qamar winced at the thought of the pain Tinarah must have gone through to that point. The pain she went through for all of that. Qamar had an idea, but she could never truly understand the pain. Absentmindedly, she put a hand on her hip and rubbed it gently. The rest of Tinarah’s story was intense. Watching a boy die and people promising to help her but not being able to do that must have hurt her. That explained why she was scared of Qamar earlier.

Eventually, she got to the point where she told of what happened with that other place’s Torrin. How he was a King and some girl named Mika was his Queen. Qamar listened intently, curious as to how this other Torrin caused her so much pain. By the end of the story, Qamar saw Tinarah’s shaking shoulders. She wanted to approach the girl, but she knew it wouldn’t end well. Instead, she watched Aria approach the girl and comfort her. Another boy came forward and asked what the Seven were.

She scoffed at that question, wondering how they couldn’t know who or what the Seven were. Even Qamar knew that Aria was one of them. The light that radiated off of her was sickening, but alluring to Qamar. She wanted it for herself and she wanted to have it. Though she knew she couldn’t, of course. Qamar couldn’t help her urges. Master Kaio finally spoke up and Qamar already knew he was fed up with Master Choma.

Scratching her cheek awkwardly, Qamar absentmindedly started to remember the story her mother told her….

A young Qamar ran up to her mother. At this time, she had just turned 5 years old. Her mother wasn’t feeling so well this night, so Qamar was playing doctor and trying to make her feel better.

“Momma, tell me a story that makes you feel good!” she begged her mother. Qamar loved hearing stories and wanted to hear a new one as well, so she hoped her mother would indulge in her wishes. Qamar’s mother chuckled and hugged the child as she climbed onto the bed. Her husband walked into the room and sighed. “Qamar, please, leave your mother alone. She needs to sleep.” he begged the child. “Eifa, please tell her to leave.”

“Ravana, I have no problem with her. She is my baby, you know. Maybe you ought to start treating her like your daughter?” Eifa looked at the man with a raised eyebrow. The man had brown eyes and short brown hair. He wore plain clothes and looked to be strong. Possibly because of the work he did. Ravana shrugged and turned to leave the room, not caring to stay and listen to the story.

“My dear Qamar...my moon….let me tell you a story about a lady who fell in love.” Eifa pulled Qamar close and began her story.

“Years ago, a lady of the kingdom who was close in the court due to her father being a public figure, had been watching generals of their armies training troops. Down on the ground, she watched a man with hair dark as the night and eyes as gold as the ring on my finger sparring with a fellow. She instantly fell in love, watching him get close to injury and managing to use his darkness to save himself. Of course this spar was a friendly one. Once he finished, she made her way to meet him.

She introduced herself and he to her. For months after, they met and got to know each other. It took him a year to finally ask for her hand in marriage. She said yes and they were married soon after. Three years after, she finally had a growing baby in her belly. In those years, however, a war was beginning to break out in their kingdom. Fearing she would lose the baby, and fearing the war she was opposed to, she fled the kingdom. She left her husband behind and found a home in another kingdom…

During her time there, her belly grew with the baby inside her. She eventually returned to her kingdom, ready to burst, and found her husband. He was wearing his armor and ready to attack anyone who dared oppose him. The man was on the side of fighting the other kingdom. This caused conflict with his wife, as she didn't want to fight.

Once he saw how ready to have their baby she was. The day finally came and the woman gave birth to a beautiful girl...the baby looked exactly like her father and was given a name that her mother thought was befitting the girl. “My baby...my moon….Qamar…” the mother snuggled her newborn baby.” Eifa finally finished her story.

Qamar blinked and looked at her mother. “Wait a sec, that baby has the same name as me!” she said, gasping. “Is that why you named me Qamar?”

Eifa chuckled and nodded. “Yes...sweetie, please, if I don’t get better, take this picture.” Eifa spoke, reaching into a book beside her bed and pulled out a photo of herself and a man with black hair and yellow eyes. “This picture...it will help you understand my story much later.”

Qamar was brought back to reality when she heard Master Varos slam his fist onto the table. At least Master Stamatis looked better for the time being. Master Gero spoke of his side of the events that Tinarah relayed to the rest of them. It was then that Qamar’s mission was being made more clear. She was going to be sent out to try and stop more worlds from being lost. Of course, Master Gero was curious as to why Torrin and Boreas were in the Realm of Light currently.

Torrin’s story sounded sad to her. Though the mention of a civil war piqued Qamar’s interest. That sounded exactly like what her mother had told her years ago. Qamar felt her chest tighten and she knew then and there that, no matter what, she was going to follow Torrin, no matter what.

Take spoke critically of Torrin’s reasoning and Qamar tsk’d. “Darkness isn’t as bad as some of you’d like to think.” Qamar spoke up. “Believe me, I’ve lived with it all my life. You’ll live if you get some help from a guy from the Realm of Darkness.”

Qamar looked at Torrin and scootched closer over to him, going past Adalric. “I know this probably isn’t the right place for this, but hearing Torrin’s reasoning made me remember something…” Qamar whispered to him. She pulled the picture her mother gave her out of her pocket and showed it to Boreas. “Does this man look familiar? Or maybe his clothing…?”

She listened to her Master before she finally took a bite of toast. Qamar knew that there was darkness on her heart. Her own father saw to it that it was developed. Honed to be used for himself with no worry about what would happen to her. Sure she wasn't going to hurt anybody with it, but she knew it was there and it was tempting to use it .

"Maybe I should stick around Torrin. If I stay near him, I might learn some things." She said this and pulled a picture out of her pocket. "After all, my mom had a lot of darkness too. She told me not to hurt people with my own...I just want to..want to know why she had darkness."

Qamar ate her food without another word. Once she finally finished, she stood up and gathered the dishes. Sighing, she put the picture back in her pocket. "Did you ever figure out who the man in the photo could be? My dad said it was my uncle but mom acted like he was more special than that." She spoke to Kide. Heck, Qamar looked like she could be the man's kid. But she couldn't be that guys daughter. Her mom would have just told her so if he was.

"In any case, Master Kide...when will you and the Council decide if Adalric and I are ready to be Master's? We've been training a long time so I figured we might be ready by now..." she asked, looking over at Kide.

Qamar quite enjoyed causing both of them to jump a little. She smiled thinking about it and clasped her hands behind her back. “That sucks that the bracelet’s still there.” she commented. Making the bracelet angry was certainly what he did, or at least that’s what Qamar felt he did. “Aw, that’s okay, but don’t forget about that. I’ve been itching to spar with somebody else lately. Nobody else is as fun…” she sighed.

Once she turned to leave, she heard the voice of an older gentleman speak. Qamar froze and turned to see a man she had only heard of and seen paintings of. A man she had no idea was still alive until very recently. Apparently he knew Aria as Qamar saw the girl call him grandpa and run to hug him.

He finally introduced him as the Master of Masters. When he bowed his head to Qamar, she immediately returned that bow, lower than she had ever bowed to a Master. When he spoke again, she looked up and listened to him. Was it really that long since there were other students before Qamar and Adalric? She wondered to herself as Master Gero mentioned food.

“I was...I was actually waiting for Master Kide to wake up…” she stated, scratching her head. “He likes to wake up last….”

She watched the group converse more as she started to wonder a few things. Crossing her arms, she tapped her chin and looked between Aria and Torrin. Being near Aria caused Qamar to squirm a little on the inside. It was like she was pure light. Pure and full of hope and love. The fact Qamar found her near Torrin and looking very happy confirmed it. Then there was Torrin and the fact he was from the Realm of Darkness. A Master of the keyblade, at that.

Once the two in question left, she commented about the two towards Boreas and Choma. “Don’t those two seem to be rather chummy? Like they really like each other?” she said, shrugging. “Maybe I’m looking into it too hard. It was nice to see you Master Choma.” Qamar gave a bow to Choma and nodded at Boreas as she left.

Qamar hurried down these stars and ran across the Main Hall towards the kitchen. She ran downstairs and gathered together ingredients. Instead of eating what was prepared already, she created a breakfast for herself and her Master from scratched. This was something she always did. She woke up, trained, and then would eat breakfast with her Master as they discussed the days activities. Some days Master Kide would be awake already or not want her to eat with him as he had special duties to attend to early.

She placed domes over the food and placed the plates on a tray. She carried a pitcher of orange juice and two glasses along with silverware, peper and salt, and napkins. She was ready and left the kitchen, hurrying back upstairs and running to the west wings. She passed by a few rooms before she stopped at one door and took a breath. Knocking, she smiled to herself. “I’m coming in, please have pants on this time.” she said. “Because I’m not going to wait.”

The door creaked as she walked into Master Kide’s room. She worked her way towards his table and chairs and began to set the table. She soon sat in front of her plate and rested her arm on the table. “Why didn’t you tell me Master Gero would be here this morning?” she asked her Master. “Oh and I made you your favorite breakfast...to make up for yesterday.” she spoke as he lifted the dome to his plate.

She looked down at her plate...pankcakes and 2 eggs. Along with wheat toast and one pad of butter on the pancakes. No syrup, of course. She nodded at Kide before she blurted out the next sentence.

“I didn’t tell you yesterday, but while I meditated today I decided to tell you. Before I even learned about Torrin being from the Realm of Darkness….I could just TELL he was from there. Like I knew him or something. But I’ve never met him before. It just made something deep down swell up and want to burst out and it scares me because it’s been getting harder and harder to keep that thing inside and I don’t want to hurt anybody.” she blabbed.

Qamar watched Tinarah move to finally eat some food. While her offer for some fresh clothes was turned down, Qamar shrugged and turned towards the door. She looked long and hard at both Take and Chrono. They both were Tinarah's friends. At this point, Qamar was going to give up on even trying to be friendly with Tinarah. It was obvious that was a pretty bad idea. By this, Qamar knew she probably was getting nowhere, so she walked towards the door. "I'm going to go check on some things." she said, slipping right past the two boys.

Frustrated, Qamar made her way to Aria's room again, glancing in at the destruction of the door, she shook her head and continued forward. She managed to walk into Aria and Torrin, causing Qamar to smirk. She stepped quicker and managed to get in front of the two. Qamar placed her hands on her hips and smiled at them. "So I see you two are having fun. How's the bracelet thing? Did it fall off yet?" she asked. "This guy uh....Torrin? He did a lot of work so I figured it'd at least have loosened some."

Listening to them a moment, Qamar closed her eyes and looked to Torrin. "I do have one thing to ask." she started. "Would you like to do a friendly little sparring match? I'm curious how a Master from the Realm of Darkness handles themselves, honestly." For a brief second, her eyes glanced at Aria before returning to Torrin. "Unless you're...scared?" she teased.
