Qamar walked over to Kidemonas and glanced at the book he was reading. She looked at it only a moment before Kidemonas had managed to close it up and set it down. She huffed and listened to him explain what his project was. "Well at least I won't have to wait too much longer, I suppose." she admitted. Qamar scratched her head and nodded to herself. She then bowed to Kidemonas and took a deep breath, breathing out to try and calm her nerves. "I'm kind of scared, Master..." she spoke, a little fear in her voice. Deep down, she was scared how things would turn out. She was scared if anybody would ever talk to her and be her friend. She already messed up with Torrin and Tinarah, what if she messes up with the others.

"I messed up...I messed up already. I can't even call Adalric a friend and we've known each other over 5 years." she said to Kidemonas, her head still bowed to hide the tears threatening to force themselves out. "I'm really scared that I'll never make good friends...you know how I am, right? Nobody likes a person like that...I know that first hand. I even spilled my whole life story and troubles to somebody I just met yesterday..." she said this as she stood back up and rubbed her arm in a spot for a good minute or so. "But I'll try to be better. It's not my fault I'm like this, you know." She looked at Kidemonas in the eyes, sending him an unspoken reminder of how she came to be his student.

An older woman who had saved her when she first arrived on the new world, looked Qamar over one last time. She nodded to herself and gave the young, scared girl a hug. "I'm sorry I can't help you here." the woman admitted, kissing Qamar's head. "But I know about a Council who can give you better aide than me." The woman looked sad, having gotten so close to the young Qamar. She already knew most of Qamar's story and that made her heart hurt knowing what the young child went through. She could only hope that one day, she would learn to control her darkness and live in peace.

Qamar rubbed her head where she had received the kiss and felt tears prick her eyelids. "I'm sorry, grandma...I...I'll miss you...but I'm scared, ya know?" she admitted. "You're gonna be here when I leave, right? I'll get to see you again, right?" Qamar looked upon the older woman with tears falling down her cheeks. The woman nodded in response, giving a sad smile to Qamar.

"I'll be here so long as I have my keyblade. I will never, ever fall to the evil creatures." she spoke, her words ringing heavy in Qamar's ears. This woman, who Qamar affectionately called Grandma, was definitely telling a lie. Qamar only could tell because she noticed how the world slowly was starting to crumble away and the dark creatures threatened to steal her heart. Qamar turned and summoned her keyblade, holding it close to her chest. It looked plain and worn out from excessive use over the year. Before Qamar could even think, she felt a spell hit her in the back. Her keyblade disappeared and she looked behind to see Grandma with a pained expression. Qamar's body was soon enveloped by light as her eyes closed, sleep taking over.

"My last gift to you...a peaceful slumber to help your travels." the woman spoke, transforming her keyblade into a glider and resting Qamar upon it. She sent it off and started to cry, turning to see heartless entering the room.

Qamar awoke in front of a castle. The skies were colored a dark, navy blue with windows lit upon the castle. She stood up and picked up the keyblade she'd seen grandma use so often. "G...Grandma..." she said, starting to tear up again. She was broken from this state as she heard a voice.

"Hello? You're awake! Good. Good. I wasn't sure how you'd hold up on the journey..." A young man with black hair stood over Qamar and crouched beside her when she began to cry. "You're safe now. Just take a deep breath and relax. No one's going to hurt you."

Qamar almost wanted to run away, but she had no clue where she was. Heck, she didn't even know if she'd have any place TO run away. Looking the man up and down, she stared into his eyes. Her eyes looked terrified, sleep depraved, and moreso, in need of help. "Wh...who are you?" she asked, her voice a little raspy. She was knocked out the whole time, but her body just felt heavier since it wasn't exactly spent resting peacefully.

"Where's Grandma...? She...she was supposed to be here with me but...but...all I got is her keyblade." she spoke up again, looking down at the keyblade in her arms. It was a much grander keyblade than her own starting keyblade.

"My name is Kidemonas. I am a keyblade master." The young man said, offering his hand to help her up to her feet. His eyes saddened when asked about the fate her grandmother. "If that used to be your grandmother's keyblade then I'm afraid that means she must have passed on. I'm sorry. Really I am." He spoke with great sympathy.

She took his hand and stood up. Once she heard him apologize, everything that happened really sank in and she started to sob uncontrollably. She dropped the keyblade and wrapped her arms around herself, staring at the ground. A dark aura came over her as she started to contemplate using her darkness to go back and get revenge. It would be just as easy as taking care of things her father forced her to do. Nobody would care, seeing as nobody was there that she cared for. Not her mother nor her grandmother. She was all alone and only darkness could be her friend.

Qamar's body shook as she shook her head, trying to shake those dark thoughts away. They scared her deep down and she wished she could make them stop. She didn't like using darkness for bad things. She wasn't a bad person and yet people only saw her for her darkness. Her hands wiped at her eyes, trying to stifle the tears as the aura subsided. "What am I gonna do? I'm all alone." she whimpered.

"Deep breaths. It'll be okay." Once the aura subsided Kidemonas placed his hand on Qamar's shoulder. "There are masters here who can train you. You won't be alone. Here you will be well taken care of." Kidemonas smiled at the young girl. "I know you're hurting but you're not alone. Come on, let's get inside."

Qamar looked up to Kidemonas and nodded. "Will you be my Master then...?" she asked. "Grandma told me about you guys and...and she said I could finally get trained to use my keyblade...I just need a Master now..." she said. She looked at Kidemonas and took a hold of his arm for support. She was feeling a little weak right now, but she could still walk.

"I..." He looked at her, unsure of what to answer. "I'm not sure if I'm ready to take a student of my own yet. I'm not even a member of the Council yet..." Kidemonas scratched the back of his head and looked down at the girl and, thinking it would have made her feel better, nodded slowly. "I'll ask them if I can be your master. Alright?" Kidemonas and Qamar reached the castle's entrance and he paused. "Welcome to the castle of the Council of Lights."

Years passed and Qamar became accustomed to life in the castle and as a student. As she grew closer to the denizens of the castle, she started to develop a personality and as far more outspoken than she first let on. In fact, she could be seen as rude and unfriendly. But deep down, she only wanted affection and recognition. She wanted to be more than the darkness that she contained.

Qamar stepped forward and gave Kidemonas a tight hug. "I'll be back soon. I promise." she said, soon letting go and turning to leave. "Also, your goggles are cracked." she commented, leaving him and returning to the front steps with the rest of her new comrades.

She watched Cerdic while he looked at the papers. He seemed a little off after tucking them away. Daeni frowned and clasped her hands together, wondering if she could somehow say something that would make him feel better. Thinking about it, she remembered back to a time earlier when he had freaked out a little about something not going right.

Daeni scratched her head and continued to think, recapping memories she had regained. As she did, she finally realized whose memories those were. "Marley..." she said, eyes wide in realization. "Cerdic, they're Marley's memories. All this time...I didn't know..."

"I'm sorry." She said this, turning her face away. "I'm useless, I can't even figure out something like that..." she mumbled, taking a deep sigh. "And Cerdic, you're not useless. You at least have confidence to do what you want. I'm stuck here scared out of my wits, unable to even defend people properly. I mean look at Mora, she's still in pain because I wasn't able to help her."

Daeni walked to Mora and put a hand on the girl's shoulder. "Mora, you're strong, but you really are bad at hiding his much that would hurts." She chuckles.

Qamar shrugged at Boreas. “Nevermind, I’ll just carry it.” she said, stretching. She had no intention of changing her shoes, either. As if she didn’t already think about training in them. She loved heels and would never, ever not wear any. Besides, it gave her an advantage when trying to kick people and she liked kicking people. She glanced over to see Aria putting her hair up and that caused Qamar to giggle to herself. Her braided hair looked odd, but hey, it did it’s job. Tinarah had joined them and that made Qamar happy to see her trying to enjoy herself some. She also looked like she was doing a lot better now after taking a bath and eating. Of course Torrin kept behind the rest.

Once everyone had arrived and were ready, Take and Boreas had started off. Qamar raced off to be in front with those two, making little comments about the scenery as they made their way through the mountains. She even pointed out a place where she fell off a tree and broke her arm when she had first came to this place. She still had the scar on her arm from where she hit it against the rock. It wasn’t so bad, though. Just a small scar.

Eventually, she raced off ahead of them and stopped at the castle steps. Taking a moment to breathe, Qamar drank some water she had stopped to get up in the mountains. She looked up to see the others start to arrive and she took that as a sign to set up the picnic. She laid out a large blanket and placed the basket in the middle, taking out plates and napkins and the other fixings. As others sat down, she listened to a few of them and conversed a little between bites of food. The hot chocolate was even delicious and hit the spot after Qamar’s second sandwich. She sat back and listened to the birds and wind rustle the trees before she heard the door to the castle open.

Qamar quickly stood up and bowed to Master Gero. A woman came out and Qamar tapped her chin for a second. The lady was somebody she had only heard about, she thought at least...Qamar couldn’t be so sure. Although Master Gero didn’t have to restate that Adalric and her were coming with the group. She could have sworn Master Aster had told them they were already going. The woman soon introduced herself and Qamar snapped her finger. “Ohh, Master Kide had mentioned her before…” she whispered to herself, nodding.

Thallasa soon mentioned Adalric and Qamar grumbled. “He’s probably in the training room as usual, Master Thallasa.” she commented, crossing her arms. “If we’re all allowed to go see our respective Master’s, I need to speak to mine, definitely.” Qamar nodded. Looking about once more, she waved to Tinarah and walked up the steps. She then waved at Torrin and Aria, smiling at them. At the top of the steps, she bowed once more to the two Masters and headed inside.

Her heels clacked against the floor as she walked the stairs leading to Kidemonas’ room. Yet again, she knocked on the door and announced her arrival. “I’m coming in, please don’t let there be a billion books everywhere.” she called out, stepping inside and beginning to talk without even bothering to listen for a reply.

“Now I know you know I’m leaving, but tell me what you’ve been researching before I go because I really am curious.” she admitted.

Daeni saw Cerdic press his head against the tree and she started to feel bad. "Sorry Cerdic..." she mumbled. Then everyone started to ask her whose memories she had seen. Daeni scratched her head and tugged at her mask and pulled it down. She tried to think of how she wanted to put this without sounding too weird. But she figured she was already going to sound crazy anyway. "I don't know whose they are..." she admitted. "I doubt it matters now..if it were any of our memories, we'd have spoke up by now, right?" she asked nobody in particular.

She walked to Cerdic and took his hand. She then placed the pages into his hand and patted them. "There you go. You're better at holding onto these things anyway." she smiled.

She stopped upon hearing her name. Listening to Kaida, Ananta felt tears start to prick her eyes and fall. She reached up and tried to wipe the tears off, but she couldn't. They just kept coming. For the first time in a long time, somebody had told her they were sorry and it was starting to break her heart. Nobody had shown her kindness like this in a long time and it was such a surprise.

Turning back around, she saw Kaida, Aux, and Hikaru in a tight hug...well, it was sort of one sided with Kaida doing most of the hugging and the other two joining in. Hikaru was haing fun and Aux was...not happy, to say the least. Ananta walked back to Kaida, tears still falling down her cheeks. "Kaida...?" she said meekly, hoping not to interrupt. "Can...can I join in on the hugging fun times?" she asked, honestly feeling like a hug was what she needed at this point.

Qamar didn't push Torrin to respond to her. Honestly, this was just a way for her to vent some stuff she'd been thinking about all day. His idea of trying to keep her darkness in line was meditating...she already did that and, well, that helped now that she thought about it. Qamar walked with Torrin absentmindedly, not meaning to follow him. She wandered with him to the kitchen and suddenly realized maybe food was a good idea after a good spar. She thought back to the comment Torrin made about "his" people and she understood why he didn't say "our" after all. She wasn't raised there. Just born as far as she knew. Glancing at the counter, Qamar saw the thermos Aria had left with a cute little note. Torrin soon removed the note and Qamar blinked. "God, that girl is adorable...." she whispered to herself, reaching into the fridge.

Take came running in and asked if they wanted to run. Torrin seemed to agree, so Qamar thought it'd be a good idea, agreeing to do the run. "Gimmie a sec and I'll meet you guys out there." she said to Take as the boy left. "Since we're gonna be doing a run...a picnic after may just be a good idea." she said, reaching up above the fridge and grabbing a picnic basket. "Mind helping me real quick? I'll gather sandwich stuff and you get the plates and forks. Then put them in th-" she stopped talking when she saw Torrin was already out the room. "Ah dammit..." she grumbled, beginning to gather the things they needed. Plates, forks, napkins, cups, bread, meat, cheese, tomatos, among other things you need to make sandwiches. Last but not least, she brought the thermos of hot chocolate and placed it gingerly inside the basket. The mountains would be fine to find water if hot chocolate was not anybodies' thing, she figured. After the picnic basket was ready, she strapped it to her back and made her way outside, finding the other runners gathering.

"So where will we meet up so I can leave this there safely?" she asked Take and Boreas.

"A pain? If anybody, I'm more of a pain..." Ananta commented, shrugging her shoulders. Soon enough, Megumi came back and all their player pins changed colors. Since there was a sense of emergency, Ananta nearly started to run for the portal. She looked to Kaida and Aux, listening to their conversation. At least Kaida apologized for being so cold. It wasn't really Ananta's place to comment about that, however, but she did nod in agreement with the apology. "He's not as bad as you said he would be. Aux is actually a pretty cool guy, I'm jealous you know him so well." she chuckled. "But you know what, we're all masters now. And if anything happens, Kaida, I'll be there to keep you going. Okay?" she said, smiling. "I've been a jerk too, so please, take my apology. I'm sorry I didn't consider your feelings towards Aux earlier. I don't know exactly what happened, but I can tell it wasn't a good thing. I wish I was there to see it for myself."

Not even sticking around, Ananta stepped towards the portal. "And sorry for butting in so much." she spoke lowly, knowing all too well herself she wasn't the most liked member of the group of masters. "I'll work on it."

Her body hit the wall hard and knocked the wind out of Qamar. Black chains wrapped around her and she was unable to move. "Exhilarating!" she exclaimed. "So this is what somebody from the Realm of Darkness can do..." she muttered to herself, watching Torrin with a smile across her own face. Sure it hurt, but she was more happy that she got to taste even a little bit of Torrin's power. When the chains disappeared and he started to walk off, she was happy to hear that at least the match was good enough, but she wasn't happy he wouldn't even stick around to talk to her some more.

Qamar hurried off towards Torrin, slowing to walk beside him. "You're right, that was a good match. And yes, I'd like to really learn how to transform my keyblade more. Now's not the time, however, seeing as...well that ended sour." she said. She walked and thought of what he said about being taught how to use darkness and being born within it. That brought back the memory of the story once again and Qamar frowned to herself. "Torrin, I don't think you understand. I wasn't merely taught how to use my darkness. My mother told me a story a long time ago. I don't remember how old I was, but I remember the whole story. A lady married a general in the army of darkness. She got pregnant and fled to the realm of light to run from the war. But she had to return to the realm of darkness, since she feared the baby wouldn't make it being born in the realm of light. She returned and had a baby a little later..." she stopped and glanced to Torrin. "I have this feeling my mom told me this story because it was her story."

Qamar scratched her head. "My oldest memory is looking up at a guy with black hair and yellow eyes like me...but that's really it? Because the next part I remember from before my "father" took control of me was being told the story. So I'm not sure exactly, but I had to have been the baby in that story. I mean, look at this picture. Boreas says the armor looks like the kind found in the armies of the realm of darkness." she pulled the picture out, showing it to Torrin. "I don't know why my mom was so against this war that was going on or whatever, but I do know that this darkness in me is....hard to control sometimes. It just comes out and wants me to use it."

Placing her hands behind her head, Qamar sighed deeply. "It's just all coincidence at this point, though. So I'm not even sure that's true, but I do know my "father" in the realm of light used my darkness for his own gain and forced me to help him. Experiments and whatnot were his forte, so he got what he wanted and I got to live and eat another day. Now that I'm older, using the darkness all the time is kind of something I want to not rely on. I want to learn better ways to control it. Your eyes didn't even change when you used those chains. I want to control my darkness and not let it go out of control." Qamar got in front of Torrin as they stepped back into the castle. "I'm sorry I got in your face when we first met. Your initial reactions rubbed me the wrong way, but I can't stand hearing Master Gero speak to you like you're some second class person. Please accept my apology for my actions earlier....and for your cheek." she said, giving Torrin a bow.

"Hard to keep it that way, huh...?" she said, crossing her arms. She looked at Torrin and saw the wince. "Do you need some healing or are you good? And uh, yeah that whole sparring thing got changed because, honestly, I do want to be strong." she said. She placed her hand on her keyblade and began to focus. She started to think of something that wasn't as clunky or heavy as her keyblade originally was. She liked how it looked, but she wanted something easier to hold...easier to swing. She placed her second hand on it and gripped tightly, channeling darkness into it to try and speed things up.

    It didn't work.

Sighing, she stood there, fists clenched. Her eyes glanced over and met Torrin's. Instead of using her keyblade, she ran towards him, focusing her darkness into her hands. She swung her right hand in a fist towards Torrin's body. Her left hand tried to scratch his face. When she found that enough, she went to connect a roundhouse kick onto Torrin. "Hand to hand isn't preferred, but it's good practice." she said.

Qamar felt the blade scratch her legs and she grit her teeth as she fell to her knees. Torrin didn't give up and she hadn't given up either. As he swung at her, switching his blade between his hands, she rolled on the ground, and ended up with him just barely missing cutting her stomach by deflecting the blade with her foot. Thank goodness for steel-toed boots. When Torrin looked like he was about to strike again, she jumped over him and turned to see he stuck the keyblade into the ground. While she had a chance for him to pull it back out, she did a quick Cura spell to keep her legs from bleeding.

Looking back up, she saw he now had a pole arm. "What in the first layer of hell...?" she muttered to herself. Though she wasn't unaccustomed to seeing keyblade transformations, she just didn't expect one like this from Torrin. His onslaught of poking began and Qamar used her speed to side step each one, just barely being missed. When the whole thing started to spin, she grumbled and watched Torrin to see if she could find the right time to strike. The spinning grew closer and closer. Her eyes watched and took steps back to keep the distance as he walked towards her. Finally, she had enough and ran forward. She reached her hand towards the polearm and focused darkness into her arm to take the brunt of the hit as her hand tightly gripped the arm of the keyblade. She moved in close to Torrin, close enough to feel his breath before she pulled her arm back and towards him in a stabbing motion. A smile drew across her lips as her eyes gleamed golden. "So this is what they teach Masters? How to make keyblades shape shift? I learned how to make a glider the day I arrived, making a pole arm probably won't be hard." she commented. "Show me." she said, stabbing her keyblade into the ground.
