Most of the group seemed as if they were going to explore the campus grounds, but she felt drained. Everything that had happened today had made her extremely tired, not to mention the fact that she had gotten no sleep the night before. Before leaving, she waved off to Harley and Kallisti. Cristina first went to find out where her room was. The lady at the housing office seemed extremely nice considering that it was late at night. She told Cristina where her room was located but did not tell her who her roommate was going to be. Cristina was a bit disappointed, but decided just to find her room. The halls were quiet. Is it past curfew? Is there even a curfew? She wondered to herself. Stopping in front of her room, Cristina took out the room key that she was given and opened the door. Empty. Cristina yawned. She put her bag by one of the beds and went to sleep.
[ Tumblr ♪ DOTD ♪ OOC: none] Cristina waited to see how Harley would respond, but before he could he was interrupted. It looked as if something someone else had said had caught his attention. She watched as he stood up and said something to the girl next to her. Kallisti looked as if she was in a lot of pain. She held her head in her hands and her expression was not the greatest. She was shaking. Harley paid all his attention to his cousin, and Cristina could understand why. What should I do? Can I even do anything? She bit her lower lip in thought. Perhaps it was best if she did not interfere. She didn't know Kallisti well enough to even understand the situation. Maybe she'll be alright in Harley's care... Cristina looked around at the others on the train. Harley seemed so calm. She had no idea what statement had caused such disarray and although she was curious, it would only make the situation worse if she were to ask. Cristina watched curiously as Harley cared for his cousin.
[ Tumblr ♪ DOTD ♪ OOC: none] Cristina tried her best to keep her smile, but it became difficult when she noticed that Harley was staring at her. Was he judging her? Examining her? We've just met, I guess I should have expected this. She had a similar experience once she transferred into the orphanage not so long ago. Upon arrival, several people there acted the same way. She decided not to read too much into the situation. " Yeah, I think we'll all need some adjusting, " he replied, his previous smile returning to his face. Even with his usually smile, Cristina could sense something else that came along with it. He was definitely thinking about something, and in this situation, Cristina found it natural to assume that he was trying to figure more about her. After all, they had only just learned each other's names. " I take it you don't have many friends, or get around to talking to many people, do you? " Harley added. Haha, talking. Cristina found it ironic, and a bit humorous, that he had chosen that word to use. She wasn't offended by the use of the word. Cristina didn't feel like he was trying to mock her. Several people used to poke fun at her all of the time using that phrase. She was trying to figure out the best way to word her answer. There was no reason to lie to him, or anybody really. Once her answer was complete she hit enter, "No, I don't. It's hard in my condition. Conversations with several people are too fast paced for me to contribute. Most of the time I nod or shake my head. But it's okay." She casually shrugged.
[ Tumblr ♪ DOTD ♪ OOC: none] For a second, Cristina thought she had seen Harley's expression change, but once she blinked she saw that nothing had changed. I'm seeing things. Maybe I'm just tired... " She's been well, thanks for asking.Something she wasn't expecting happened at the hot springs, and, well . . . she kinda panicked." "That's good," the machine recited as Cristina smiled. She looked towards Kallisti, she did not hear what they were talking about, which was probably a good thing. Cristina's attention returned to Harley once he began talking again. " So I take it you're going to Brookbridge as well? What do you think of it?You and my cousin might be dorm mates." Cristina nodded to answer the first question, then proceeded to type on her keyboard. Finishing what she wanted to say, she quickly looked it over and hit enter, "I haven't heard too much about it, but it will definitely be different from what I'm used to. I've never attended a boarding school before. I would be relieved if I found out that she was my roommate. It would be nice to have a familiar face." Realistically speaking, anyone but Tamora would be great. Cristina continued to smile. It was actually a decent conversation that they were having. She was relieved.

He had looked so worried the other day that she thought that they had a deeper relationship, but then again cousins could be close right? Not like I know. Regardless,She was glad that Harley managed to hear her device. Its volume was turned up all the way, but it was quite loud on the train with all of its passengers, so she thought the voice may have been drowned out. But it wasn't so she smiled and formulated a reply. "I've been well," the mechanical voice said. Well, sort of. No need to bother other people with my personal life. She to extend her reply by typing some more and hitting enter, "How about you? Also, how has Kallisti been, she wasn't feeling well the other day, right?" Her expression changed to show some more concern.
[Tumblr ❀ OOTD ❀OOC: none ] Aileen nodded her head in response to her best friend, who was lugging his bag down the steps. She hadn't originally wanted to sleep at her house (because of her parents) but while Brian was packing, she found some things that she needed to discuss with her parents. After retrieving her bag from the guest room, the pair got into Brian's car and drove to Aileen's house. Aileen dug her key from the bottom of her bag and unlocked the door. She turned the knob, pushed the door open and gestured for Brian to step inside. There was no one inside, as she had expected. She took off her shoes. "If you want anything to eat, feel free to take from the cupboards," she said, "You know what, let's go there now." Brian followed behind her. On the table was a note from her parents. Aileen picked it up and put it in her pocket. She would read it later. She led Brian to the cupboards and grabbed a bottle of water from inside. Afterwards, she led him to the guest room. He looked tired so she left him there to rest. Aileen turned the knob to her room. It was weird not being there for days. She stood at the edge of her bed and fell backwards into it. She sat up and got packing. Opening her closet, she found her ballet bag which was normally in her locker at the studio. Everything was inside of it. Aileen remembered the note in her pocket. She unfolded it and read its contents: For Aileen. Staying overnight at the office. Your school sent a letter about relocation, but you might already be there...We brought your ballet things from the studio. The instructor said you hadn't been there in days...Love Mom and Dad. Oh, thanks I guess. She finished packing and decided to write a note back to them: Mother and Father. Headed to Brookridge with Brian. Please treat Alice like you used to. She's getting worried sick. I haven't told her anything. Just leave the issue. - Aileen She folded the note and put it on the dining room table, where the other note was placed. She quietly opened the guest room door, only to see Brian fast asleep. She smiled. He looked so peacefully. She carefully closed the door to the guest room and went back to hers. She was feeling tired, so she got into bed and went to sleep. [ Tumblr ♪ DOTD ♪ OOC: none] It was announced at dinner to the rest of the kids that the three of them were leaving for school tomorrow. Some of the kids were disappointed, and others couldn't care less. After dinner, Cristina went up to her room to pack her things. Tamora walked in not long after. "Oh my gosh, thank you for agreeing," she said to Cristina. Cristina continued packing. Just ignore her. Maybe she'll take a hint and shut up. But she didn't Tamora continued rambling on and on about things that she could care less about. It was giving her a headache so she took the nearest pillow and threw it at her. It seemed like Cristina's aim was improving, because it hit Tamora square in the face. She suppressed her urge to giggle and went back to packing. Tamora was clearly offended. It wasn't like Cristina did not expect her to be. She tried throwing the pillow back at her, but with her weak attempt, it barely hit Cristina's lower back. Nice try. "Do you know what the best part of leaving here is?" she asked angrily. Her voice was beginning to raise. "Getting a friggen new roommate so I don't have to deal with you anymore!" Tamora smirked, as if she expected Cristina to be as offended as she had been. Good. Nice to know we're on the same page. Cristina turned back around, smiled and folded the last outfit that she had to pack. Frustrated, Tamora stormed out of the room. Cristina thought for a moment. Perhaps I should just leave tonight. She didn't want to deal with Tamora during the ride tomorrow. She went downstairs with her bags and told Mrs. Kerring, who was reluctant to let her leave at first, but eventually agreed. Cristina took the bus to the station. There were a bunch of kids already there. She spotted a few familiar faces. Namely, the boy that she had briefly conversed with at the resort the other day, as well as the girl who had fainted. Thank goodness she's alright. Before she could go up to any of them, they got onto the train. She followed them on. Cristina walked up to the boy, tugged on his sleeve with one hand and pulled out her speech keyboard from her bag with the other. She typed, "Hello, I met you the other day. My name is Cristina."

She did not have enough of her belongings in the duffle bag that she had brought with her. Which means I probably have to go home and pack some more... Although she had already been away from home for a couple of days, she still did not feel ready to face her parents. She didn't know when exactly she would be, but she figured that she would have to return home at some point. It was a weekday, so her parents would probably be at work until late at night. She probably wouldn't see them anyways. Mmkay, let's do this. "Hmm...once you finish packing here, can we go over to my house for a bit so I can get more things?" Aileen asked. Brian probably wouldn't mind, but she wanted to make sure. [ Tumblr ♪ DOTD ♪ OOC: none]Cristina held her sketch an arms-length away from her to get a better look at it. Maybe if I do a bit more shading here...okay. She looked at it again. Good. She smiled as she signed and dated her finished sketch. Pulling out her cell phone she checked the time. I should probably get back before they begin worrying. She packed her things and stood up quietly, leaving the Cathedral. Cristina took the bus back north all the way to the intersection where the orphanage was located. As she walked up the front steps, the icy wind blew into her eyes causing her to tear up. She immediately wiped it away with the soft mittens that she was wearing. Inside, the younger kids were running around like they always did. She took off her shoes and walked to the dining room to help set up for dinner. Already there was Tamora, who seemed like she was negotiating with Mrs. Kerring. Cristina walked towards them. "Can we leave sometime this week? Please? I've already packed my things, Jeremy is almost done, and Cristina...she doesn't have a lot to pack anyways," she stated. Looks like really does want to get out of this place. Jeremy walked up to Cristina from behind and tapped her on her shoulder, startling her. She jumped. Mrs. Kerring sighed. Tamora was clearly giving her a headache. "Can you please just wait until Jeremy and Cristina come down." Tamora pointed at the two. "Oh, you're already here," Mrs. Kerring gestured for them to sit down beside Tamora. Jeremy took a sip from the glass of water in front of him. "Would you two be okay if you moved into the dorms tomorrow afternoon?" He choked on it forcing Cristina to suppress her laughter. That's karma for earlier! "Tomorrow?! I only have a few more things to pack, but isn't that too soon?" "Please?" Tamora pleaded in the whiniest voice Cristina had ever heard. She looked at Jeremy then Cristina. Jeremy thought for a moment and then agreed. Mrs. Kerring turned to her, "What about you, Cristina? What do you think?" So soon? I like this place though...I would have to pack right after dinner...and then discuss pregnancy things with Mrs. Kerring...but Tamora would give me hell if I didn't agree...and maybe once we're there, she won't be my assigned roommate anymore. Cristina nodded her head to show her agreement. Tamora put her arms around Cristina to hug her, but Cristina pushed her off immediately. Get away from me.

[Tumblr ❀ OOTD ❀OOC: none ] Aileen shook her head at Brian's question. It wasn't that she thought someone had died- she definitely did not want to think that- she just needed reassurance. Everything that had happened over the past two weeks had made her very cautious and somewhat paranoid. Her family issue had narrowed down the number of people she could trust down to one. Her best friend. She could trust Brian. "No, it's not that. Sorry for asking such an odd question," she apologized. Aileen sat down on the couch and relaxed a bit, letting out a deep sigh. She was becoming overly stressed, partially due to the fact that she hadn't been able to dance in days. I'll probably dance again once I move into Brookridge. She looked back at the letter that they were talking about before, then back at Brian. "Should we start packing?" She suggested, gently waving the letter in the air.

He seemed as if he was going to suggest something else, but quickly cut the sentence off and went back to agreeing that she was the cause of all of this. She had been a huge impact on the entire city lately. The storm and the flooding and now the earthquake. These were costly. Aileen wondered how much damage the earthquake had caused. It wasn't huge, but it must of caused some problems somewhere in the city. She thought back to the email. "What if someone else..." she paused for a moment and inhaled. "What if someone else died today, Brian? She doesn't come down here often to cause trouble for no apparent reason, right?" Aileen explained. She bit her bottom lip. What if she...if she...got rid of another person...?
[Tumblr ❀ OOTD ❀OOC: none ] Moving to Brookbridge, huh? It would definitely give her enough time away from her parents and it wasn't like they wouldn't allow her to go. She had to continue with her education- that's what they wanted. But moving there would mean that she would have to leave her dance studio and transfer to one close to or on campus grounds. From what she knew, the Academy had huge campus grounds, and if she remembered correctly there was a Faculty of Arts. Perhaps she could negotiate with them about ballet. There would not be any other reason for her not to go to school in Brookridge. She read through the letter, then up at Brian. "I'll go," she said with a smile, "Are you?" Before he could answer, the ground shook and nearly knocked Aileen over. She felt Brian grab her hand, probably to save her from doing so. The lights went out, and she looked outside to see what was going on. An earthquake, and a solar eclipse at the same time. "W-what's going on?" she managed to say as Brian used his cardigan sleeve to cover her eyes. Once the sun disappeared, the room was pitch dark. Aileen wasn't scared, but she was worried. It's one disaster after another, isn't it? This can't just be a 'natural' disaster. When everything went back to normal, Aileen looked over at Brian. "Brian, do you think that she had something to do with this?" Aileen asked. She could never bring herself to say her name. It was either fear or superstition, but she could not tell which. She stood there waiting for her best friend's response, though, he probably thought the same as her. [ Tumblr ♪ DOTD ♪ OOC: exploring~] Cristina stood outside the orphanage for a couple of minutes, thinking about where to go. The church? The ballet studio? I only have a few more weeks before I have to go back to school, so maybe I should explore more of the city... She decided to do so. She figured that there would be more places south than east, so she got on a bus that was heading south. She got off in front of the Downtown Corridor because it looked interesting. But it wasn't as interesting as Cristina had wanted it to be. The stores underground were just plain boring and uninspiring. She decided to continue walking south. The streets weren't overly crowded, but crowded enough that people ended up pushing her around. She was petite, so this was not new to her. Cristina held her bag closer to her and tried to maneuver herself around people. Sometime while she had been making her way south, the number of people on the streets began to decrease, which relieved her. She sighed and looked around. To her right were different buildings. Boring. To her left, was a large cathedral. She smiled. It was definitely a lot bigger than the church by the orphanage. She stepped into the building and scanned the environment. There a couple of people quietly walking around the cathedral. The ceilings were extremely high. The architecture, as well as the art inside, were both beautiful. Feeling inspired, she sat on one of the benches and began drawing.

She wasn't moving out permanently- coming back to visit wasn't the hard part. Finding time to do so once school started again would be. Cristina stood up and mouthed a 'thank you' to Mrs. Kerring. She was probably the most caring person she had ever met since her parents, and Cristina appreciated it. With a smile she began walking out of the dining room. Still feeling lightheaded, she stopped, put her hand over her forehead and closed her eyes for a moment. The floor shook causing her to nearly fall and hit the wall. An earthquake? She decided to stay away from the walls. Suddenly all of the lights in the building shut off. Luckily it was day, otherwise it would've been pitch dark. Perhaps I should stay here in case anything happens. For awhile, Cristina noticed that the light outside was slowly becoming dimmer and then there was none. What? She looked out of the window closest to her. There's an eclipse?! Where's my sketchbook? It was upstairs. Oh. That's great. She did not want to walk up the stairs. She was afraid that another tremor would occur while she was walking on them. Golden opportunity lost. Soon enough, everything went back to normal. The lights went back on and the sun disappeared behind dark clouds. That was definitely not normal. She wondered if it was the doing of the strange email. The guy did say that it was giving them trouble...Cristina sighed. She cautiously walked up the stairs, holding tightly onto the railing. In her room, she saw Tamora beginning to pack her belongings. There were still a couple of weeks before they had to leave. Is she that eager to leave? Hearing her walk in, Tamora looked up, "Ew, your sick germs away from me." Cristina ignored her and walked to grab her bag. She quickly placed her phone, speech device, sketchbook and pencils into it. Cristina left the room without even acknowledging her roommate's presence. She had given up on her attitude. She put on her shoes and walked outside. It was a bit warmer than she had expected, but otherwise it seemed normal enough. Where to go today?
[Tumblr ❀ OOTD ❀OOC: none ] Aileen woke up much earlier than she had wanted. 5 am? She moaned and stuck her head under the pillow and tried to fall back asleep but she couldn't. She should have known this was going to happen, after all, she had slept quite earlier yesterday. She looked down at her clothes, realizing that she had forgotten to change. Aileen stood up and smoothed out her clothes. Is there any reason to change into another outfit? No there isn't. And so, she decided to against changing. She walked over to the vanity, placed her phone on it, and proceeded to open the curtains. The sun hadn't risen yet, but perhaps she would watch the sunrise. For awhile she was just sitting on the bed looking out the window. Periodically she would check the time on her phone, but then look back at the window. Getting bored, she decided to log into tumblr and see what was new. Nothing. Not like anyone would post anything so early in the morning. She looked at the time again. 5:30 am. Oh my god. Growing tired, she gave up on watching the sun rise and slipped back into her bed. She fell asleep rather quickly. It was easier than she had expected. Later, she woke up hearing her door close. Was that Brian? She got up and smoothed out her clothes again. With her phone she walked down the stairs carefully. She could see him on the couch. I hope he's feeling better... Aileen stood in front of him, "Good Morning, Brian." She paused for a moment. Should she apologize for yesterday? That would be awkward right? She scanned the room instead and saw an envelope on the table. She picked it up and read the label. From the school? "Hey Brian, what's this?" she inquired. [ Tumblr ♪ DOTD ♪ OOC: decisions] Cristina had expected to get very little sleep. There were life changing decisions to be made and she knew that she would not be able to put them off for very long. Keep the baby. Don't keep the baby Keep the baby. Don't keep the baby. These thoughts ran through her mind for hours. She thought of the situation from different perspectives as well. I might not be alive long enough to give birth to this baby. Even then, I would die soon after and the baby would have no mother. I don't even know who the father is. I don't even know how I became freaking pregnant. She shook her head. But if I...don't keep the baby, will I be able to live with it? Will I be able to live with the fact that I killed what could have been alive? She stared at the white ceiling. She wouldn't be able to. Mommy? Daddy? I'm going to...keep this baby, okay? She thought with half a smile on her face. I just don't want to take someone's life away, just like someone...took yours...I don't want to steal someone's voice...like how someone stole mine... That was what she had decided on. At 7 am in the morning. Scratch getting little sleep. She got none at all. Well that can't be a good start to pregnancy. She sat up feeling light headed. Oh no. Not again. Holding onto the walls, she made her way to the washroom. Afterwards, she got dressed, ready and headed downstairs for breakfast. It seemed that all of the kids had finished, as only Tamora, Jeremy and Mrs. Kerring remained at the table. "Oh why if it isn't the sick girl," Tamora remarked. Both Mrs. Kerring and Jeremy shot her looks which shut her up. Cristina took a seat at the table, and started eating her breakfast. "Feeling better, Cris?" Jeremy asked. With a small smile, she looked up and nodded. Cristina could feel Tamora's jealous glares coming her way, but decided to flat out ignore them. "Now that all three of you are down here, I'd like to let you know that your school sent out a letter," Mrs. Kerring started. Tamora moaned. "Because of the flood, they are going to relocate...to Brookbridge Academy." Cristina's eyes widened. That far? "I'm not trying to kick you three out or anything, but I think you should go. You can't be missing out on your education." "At least I can finally get out of this suffocating place," muttered Tamora. Cristina instinctively kicked her underneath the table. "OW!" Cristina subtly stuck out her tongue at Tamora- enough for only her to see. That comment was rude and unnecessary and you know it. "Jeremy and Tamora, you are excused," Mrs. Kerring said. She obviously ignored Tamora's comment and did not take it to heart. She had probably known Tamora long enough, not to. Making sure that the two had left the dining room, she sighed. "Have you thought about your situation?" she asked. Cristina nodded slowly with a reassuring smile. "...Okay. I have already asked about the nurses at Brookbridge. It seem fine, and I explained your situation to them, and they seem fine with that...I will plan with them until then." She moved closer to Cristina and patted her on the back, "You know, Cristina, I'm proud of you and I know you didn't ask for this...but I will support you on this decision." Cristina's vision was being impaired by the tears that were forming in her eyes. When she blinked, a few of them rolled down her cheeks. She looked up at Mrs. Kerring and smiled. That was all she could do to thank her for all that she had done.

[Tumblr ❀ OOTD ❀OOC: none ] Aileen sat there patiently waiting for Brian to respond. She could not tell what was going through his mind, at all. In the end, he remained silent. Perhaps, he had wanted to avoid this subject? If he did, she was being rude. "Er- it's okay, Brian. That was rude of me. Sorry," she apologized. His expressions were so difficult to read, she found the situation somewhat frustrating. Brian chose to remain silent as he was making breakfast and while eating it. It was delicious, and Aileen even smiled a few times to showcase that, but the tense atmosphere remained. Leave it to me, to ruin the entire day. Finished her food, she stood up and put the plates and cutlery in the sink. Suddenly, her phone vibrated in her jean pocket. Startled, she pulled it out and checked the notification. It was a text from Alice. Mom and Dad haven't been answering my calls. Any of them. What's been going on at home? "Nothing. They're busy with work. New products, new clients, things like that," Aileen quickly typed. How does it feel, 'Sis' ? It's not that Aileen wanted her to go through the same treatment she had- she didn't. But since she had to keep Alice in the dark about the situation, this all came with it. Even through all of this, Brian remained silent. She sighed deeply. "I'm...just going to go upstairs and sleep. I'm still tired," she told her best friend with a half-genuine smile. She did plan to go to sleep. Aileen was tired from all of the events that had happened over the past few days. Flood. Death. Family. Travelling. Deaths. Travelling. She felt that she just needed to sleep it all off. Aileen walked back up to the guest room and slipped into the bed, soon falling asleep. [ Tumblr ♪ DOTD ♪ OOC: decisions] Cristina sat like that on her bed for minutes, as if she was paralyzed. She was in somewhat of a daze. Pregnant. Pregnant. Pregnant. Pregnant. Baby. Me. How? How did this even happen? No matter how much Cristina thought about it, she could not figure out how she was fertilized. If she was carrying a baby inside of her, there had to be a father. Who was this person? She was confused. Her train of thought was interrupted by knocking on the door. "Cristina?" It was Mrs. Kerring, "I have your dinner. May I come in?" She got up and unlocked the door. Mrs. Kerring was carrying a tray with a bowl of pasta and a glass of orange juice. Cristina took it from her and placed it on her desk by the window. She would eat it later. "How are you feeling? Did the doctor call?" She asked in a concerned tone. Cristina grabbed her speech keyboard, typed and hit enter, "She did call. I'm pregnant, Mrs. Kerring. But I don't know how. I've never done anything like that." Cristina purposely added a tone to the last word to emphasize it. While the voice recited whatever she had typed, Cristina also had a puzzled look on her face. Mrs. Kerring shrugged, looking confused. "I don't know, but you're going to have to see the doctor more often now..." she informed. Cristina shook her head vigorously. There was no way she was going back there again. "I can arrange for her to come here, don't worry." Hearing that reassured Cristina a bit. Before getting up to leave, she added, "Also, I would think about what you want to do with the baby. Are you planning to go through with it?" With that, she left the room, closing the door behind her. Cristina sat in front of her desk and ate her dinner. When she finished, she left the tray outside her door. She slipped back into bed and lied down so that she was staring at the ceiling. Mommy? Daddy? What should I do? Did she even have enough time to carry it? She would die in less than ninety days. Was it all worth it? But she was also appalled by the thought of killing potential life. I don't know anymore. In deep thought, she found that her eyelids were gradually becoming heavier, and that she was slowly drifting off to sleep.

She could see Jeremy trying his best to calm down her annoying roommate. Not in the mood to deal with you at the moment. Sorry. She stepped in and locked the door behind her. Her plan was to keep the door locked until she got the results from the doctor. Making her way over to her bed, she stopped in front of her small cupboard to grab a box of snacks. She placed it on her bed, opened it and then sat next to it. What do I want to eat first? She pulled a box of Pocky out and began furiously munching on one. She then took her sketchbook out and finished the drawing that she began at the hospital. It did not take her very long, a couple of minutes at most, so she looked out the window for more inspiration. There was snow falling lightly. Snow...? Cristina suddenly lost all motivation to draw. I guess I'll just take a nap... She placed the box on the ground and slid under her covers. ♪-♪-♪-♪-♪ She was woken up her ringtone. Cristina shot up and rummaged through her blankets to dig out her phone. She pressed the green phone and put the phone to her ear. She also pulled out her keyboard in case. "Hello? Cristina? If you can hear me, snap," instructed Dr. Lyn. Cristina brought her right hand close to the receiver and did so. "Okay, so the results came in," she paused. Cristina's grip on the phone tightened. The suspense was killing her. Dr. Lyn took inhaled and continued, "and well...it seems that you are indeed, er, pregnant." What?! "Cristina? Are you here? Snap, if you can hear this!" Cristina snapped and immediately hung up the phone. Her arm fell flimsily to her side and she let go of her phone. She was beginning to feel light-headed. This...This is... She couldn't find the right words to describe how she felt. Mommy? Daddy? What do I do?

[ Tumblr ♪ DOTD ♪ OOC: Some awkward girl to girl questions asked lol] The doctor's office was what Cristina expected. Boring. All neutral, no pops of colour and nothing eye-catching. The doctor had introduced herself as Dr. Lyn. Cristina pulled out her speech device, knowing that she would have to communicate with the doctor. Staying silent would only drag this visit longer. "So what's the matter, hun?" Dr. Lyn asked. Cristina typed as fast as she could without making any typos. Finished, she quickly looked it over and then hit enter, "Yesterday I woke up feeling nauseous. I ended up vomiting a couple of times. The nauseousness went away eventually, though. I felt the same way this morning, but I had something distracting me so it was not a huge problem." Dr. Lyn nodded at several points while the device was reciting whatever she had written. "Hmm...Cristina, you're fourteen, right?" Cristina nodded. "Has your menstrual cycle started yet?" Cristina nodded slowly. "Is it regular?" She used her hand to signal a so-so answer. "When did it start last month?" She didn't exactly keep track. Cristina thought for a moment. She held up five fingers. "How about the month before then?" How in the world am I supposed to remember that. She thought hard. It was the day that she agreed to switching orphanages ...the eighth? Cristina held up eight fingers. "And you said that you feel better later in the day?" She nodded. "Let's see...today is the thirteenth...oh dear." Cristina looked at Mrs. Kerring, who was biting her lip. She then turned her attention back to Dr. Lyn. "Cristina, I think you might be...er....pregnant." Cristina's eyes widened. Pregnant?! "I want to do a blood test just to make sure though..." Dr. Lyn pulled a sterile needle from drawer. She put an elastic around Cristina's left arm. Normally, Cristina was uncooperative around needles, but today was different. There is no way I could be pregnant. She looked away as blood was being drawn. As she put a bandaid on Cristina's arm, Dr. Lyn said, "I will have the results by tonight. Would you like me to phone you?" Cristina nodded worriedly. She did a small bow to thank the doctor for her time, then walked out of the hospital to the car with Mrs. Kerring. Cristina did not know what to say to Mrs. Kerring, so she stayed silent. Pregnant? She was only fourteen. This was ridiculous. There's no way.... There was none, but for some reason, she was scared. Scared that the possibility of her carrying life inside of her would become a reality.
