Kairi glanced down for a second, but that was only to monitor her movements as she turned on her side. She tucked a hand underneath her pillow and looked back up at the boy next to her bed, facing him now. Her weak smile dimmed a little, but it was still there. She gazed into Sora's blue eyes, wanting those to be the last things she saw if she fell asleep again.

  3. Forever Love
Kairi's smile grew a little, her heart fluttering at the words. She wished the bond between their hearts wasn't broken, or else she was sure Sora would have felt what she was feeling now: peace and love. But as long as she was feeling them, it was enough.

  4. Forever Love
Kairi turned her head a little to look up at Sora, shaking her head. But then she smiled weakly. "Just you," she said quietly. She always felt better with him around, his presence somehow helping her relax. And relaxing was all she wanted right now.

Kairi lowered her eyes to the floor, looking at her feet. It was then that she decided that she would lie down, since she was a little dizzy still. Her thoughts had chased away her concerns about it, so she didn't notice it on the way upstairs. Now that she did, well, she didn't like it. Kairi lifted her legs and turned, putting her legs up on the bed and lowering her head on a pillow.

  6. Forever Love
Kairi lowered her hands to her bed, glad to be in her bed again. "Thanks," she said, glancing up at Sora from under her lashes. She really was grateful for all he was doing for her; he was so sweet.

  7. Forever Love
Kairi loved that Sora cared, but she felt like he was going out of his way. He had his own injuries to deal with, and the last time she checked, he had broken ribs. The action of carrying her couldn't possibly be good for that, or any of his other injuries. She felt terrible that he was putting her before himself, but it was even worse that if he didn't, she knew she wouldn't really get anywhere. I don't like this, Kairi thought. Being weak.

It doesn't matter anymore. It's happened and there's nothing to do but wait until it's over. Kairi kept her gaze downward, aware that Sora was carrying her up the steps. She knew that she wasn't a heavy girl, but Sora must have gotten much stronger to carry her up the stairs with injuries. She guessed that was good, though she would rather have it so her condition wasn't a burden to him.

  10. Forever Love
Kairi looked from the door to Sora and then at the entrance hall. The last time she had been home... The girl lowered her eyes to her hand resting on her stomach, the memory a bad one. The last time she was home, Smith attacked her and Namine and Riku, and then taking her to the Realm of Darkness. That was the reason why she was feeling so frail right now. Because of Smith.

  11. Forever Love
Kairi decided to push her thought away, instead putting her arm closest to Sora lightly behind his neck. She hadn't expected him to pick her up again; she was planning on walking the rest of the way. But she didn't mind this. It was nice too.

  12. Forever Love
Kairi had just tucked her handy tool back in her pocket when she felt Sora's arm around her. She turned her head to look at him, both relieved for the support but confused at the same time. Did she show a sign of weakness without realizing it?

Kairi listened for the "click" of the lock, at the same time trying not to worry about the fact that her legs felt like they were going to collapse underneath her. She pressed her lips together and released a soft breath before she finally heard the door unlock, the girl pulling the clip out before opening the door.

  14. Forever Love
Once Kairi's feet touched the ground, she took her hands off of Sora's shoulders, knowing she was balanced for the time being. Unfortunately, she didn't have a key either. But it was a good thing she knew how to pick locks. The girl dug into her pocket and pulled out the paperclip she used not too long ago and stepped past Sora a little, not hesitating getting to work.

Kairi managed to have a small giggle escape her, the girl's smile growing at the action. "Okay. Put me down, silly," she said, wishing that they could be goofy like this without either of them suffering from some side-effect of the Dark Realm. Eventually, Kairi. Eventually.

Kairi smiled slightly, leaning her head forward a little to be closer to Sora. "No. I didn't," she told him as she peeked over his shoulder at him, proving it by speaking alone. She appreciated the fact that he was being light with her, something the old Sora would do.

  17. Forever Love
Kairi glanced away from the back of Sora's head to see her house, her form relaxing a little even as Sora shifted his grip on her legs. She felt bad that he had to carry her all the way here, but it would have only been worse if she tried walking on her own. As hard as it was for her to accept that, she did. But Kairi was relieved to see her home all the same, because it not only meant she could rest, but Sora could as well; carrying her obviously wasn't easy after yesterday.

  18. Forever Love
Kairi looked forward and over Sora's spiky hair to watch where he was taking her, her hand coming back to rest lightly on his shoulder. She just wanted to get home and relax; it had been constant worry and fear the last couple days. And now she was weak and exhausted. Kairi just wanted things to be normal again.

  19. Forever Love
When they entered the living room, Kairi instantly recognized how empty it was. She didn't realize that Namine and Roxas already left until now. But she did meet Riku's gaze immediately. She lifted her hand off of Sora's shoulder a little, wiggling her fingers in a small wave. "Bye, Riku," she said softly.

"See ya, Kairi. Feel better," Riku said, following her form as Sora walked with her through the room. Hopefully once she got some rest, she'd feel like herself again.

"Yeah," Kairi said, nodding a little as she looked at Sora. She felt bad for doing this to him, knowing she was causing him pain, even if he didn't show it; she'd known him since they were kids, so it was easy for her to recognize these kinds of things.
