riku pretty much is the same as in kh2 when he is a boss, sora is essentially the same as in all games (excluding the lack of weapon choices) the reason for them even while sleeping is rumored i heard it was vexen's creation of a fake copy of each, riku has some cool weapons from a vid of everyone's weapons, some of which tie in concepts of other people's weapons, like marluxia has a scythe that resembles xaldin's spears
