i got to do something resembling detective work today. even got to thumb through filing cabinets of government files. felt like a total badass. the only thing missing was a flashlight between my teeth. i had one but the lights were on and the windows open so i would have looked like a ****ing idiot

getting hype for dgm this week (hopefully) being excited for dgm feels strange. it's something i've not felt for years but what i liked about dgm is all very slowly coming back to me you know when you experience something again as an adult and realize the substance it has versus when you read/watched it as a kid and all that mattered was that it was cool? I'm wondering if I won't have that with dgm. I'm remembering what the series was about and how the main character developed and I think there may have been some actually intelligent storytelling and nuance to it. I'm not sure if there really was, I plan to read it again to find out, or if just I'm projecting what I want to be there onto the series. my memory of dgm's pretty hazy Arkham talk depresses me because I'm so late and it feels like I'll never play them still waiting for that dream Superman game, guys. get on it, video game industry. make yourself useful.
yeah i cant see myself ever putting money into my car unless its to fix something. or for gas. i normally dont buy stuff like this either but they were so cheap i didnt mind. i was specifically looking for the green day one (surprised it existed) but then i saw they also had star wars. and i mean come on. what, was i supposed to not buy it

I resist so much of what's here but I'm excited for what this movie seems to be doing for progressing this new setting (so immensely excited for maybe Jason Todd death stuff and fleshing out this Batman's history as well as making Superman such a central part of how this continuity develops). It seems to be emphasizing that Superman and the results of MoS will be largely what shape this universe. Couldn't care less about the Suicide Squad itself. Quinn is a character I find absolutely dreadful anywhere outside of the Bruce Timm shows, and she's apparently a big part of what this movie is being sold on. Could be good, I don't know. We'll see. Rumors that the scene with Batman chasing Joker is a flashback to him being thrown into Arkham after killing Jason Todd and Waller building human opposition to Superman are the sole things I'm excited for here. But how weird is it that we're getting Suicide Squad of all things this early and that it seems like it will be an important film for this series? Hope they put the care and effort into backing such a bold move.

"52 million dollar question" please die, cw i may give this a brief look but after this past season i'm going to try and not watch any more of these cw shows so I probably won't watch it.
Spoiler i watched Fusion Reborn today expecting a good time but I kind of hated it. it goes stupidly big and I don't think it realizes it and is unsatisfying by the end. I don't know the specifics of Janemba's power but from what I grasped he was turning dimensions into giant jelly beans and then turned those into little copies of himself. Then Goku fights them. So is Goku slapping entire dimensions around??? It comes off like they didn't even realize the implications of what they were doing. DBZ always has these wacky massive stakes like entire planets being blown up, but this goes absurdly big and doesn't build up any real tension. It all comes off as a minor annoyance for the people involved. So having no investment in this conflict makes going so big in concept damaging to the movie. Then Frieza shows up and could have been a cool part of this but is gone in 5 seconds. Then there's this huge elongated fight and the entire time I just want to see some cool Fusion stuff, but we don't actually get what the title says the movie is all about till the last 5 minutes and the fights over immediately. how anticlimactic. this bummed me out because I thought this was one of my favorites. time to watch Battle of Gods @Hayabusa we were talking about this movie earlier I defaced my car today View attachment 42609
