i was just thinking the internet could use another marvel meme
what did you like about it
has anyone here read Last Stand of the Wreckers
i stopped watching when the first movie they chose was stepbrothers
The director supposedly said that this was not the movie that he wanted to make and no one would ever see the movie he wanted to make. this is a conflicted movie. Fox clearly wanted a harder sci-fi movie but was too afraid to leave superhero movie conventions. And thanks to internet reaction crushing any passion for deviation that may have been behind this project originally, it's played very safe and very formulaic. You can't mix hard sci fi and superhero and play it safe. That's a bold thing to do and at some point, one is going to have to dominate the other. The easiest example is the first two Nolan Batman movies. They are crime dramas mixed with superhero. But they're crime dramas first. by the time this went into production no one was enthusiastic and no one was willing to take chances so you get extremely easy, obligatory stuff like third act contrived laser of doom. emphasis on the internet killing it.
i would never walk out of a movie if it's bad and i'm going to trash talk it i want to have seen all of it so i know what i'm talking about. this isn't even something you need to see to experience for yourself how bad it is. at least not in theaters. it's so painfully dull and characters are like single-trait archetypes with faulty "arcs." there's nothing here. no potential for these characters to be developed, no illusion of a deeper story. it's painfully boring. and slow. i can't think of a superhero movie as poorly paced as this one. it keeps building and building and building to a supposed conflict of sorts and the whole time you're looking at your watch wondering how it can possibly get there and resolve itself when it's only a 100 minute movie and you're 70 in. then it finally happens. and your jaw drops in disbelief. like i said, totally baffling. and this is just basic stuff. i haven't even talked about relationships, interactions, dialogue, and acting. i feel bad for the people who played johnny, reed, and sue. they were all good casting choices but they weren't given good characters and they weren't directed well. i don't think the director cared at all given it's not the movie he wanted to make, and man is that reflected in these actors. no one seemed like they wanted to be there. sue looks bored the whole time. johnny phoned it in. reed started out enthusiastic but at some point he realized this was a bad movie and stopped caring.
i can't relate to that -- seeing a superhero movie is obligatory to me, but there's close to no fun to be had with this one, so if you were to skip it i would understand.
no it was a miserable experience. no schlock value. no good action amidst a poor story. it was bad on every level. i won't go into details but suffice it to say there is no one dominant flaw with this movie. no one thing you can point to and say "that's what made this bad. other than that it's pretty good." no, this is a complex maze of wrong turns and bad decisions and by the end i just want to go home and put it all behind me. that a movie like this was released in 2015 is totally baffling. someone compared it to getting teeth pulled but i don't think that's an apt comparison because after that you're given drugs to make you feel better.
fan4stic is one of the worst movies i've ever seen
don't you mean entales?
tool - sober
i know you don't like panic at the disco but on the real everything you just described is Pretty. Odd. folky, upbeat songs that are literally about feeling good, being happy, summer, weather, and good times. there's a downer in the middle but it's more of a mellow, reflective song than a straight up depressing one i mean for christ's sake there's a song on it called folkin' around. and it's like my third favorite song ever. please just do me this solid and give it a shot Weezer's recent album Everything Will Be Alright in the End comes to mind. not sure if it's your thing but whatever. look up Foxy Shazam's album The Church of Rock and Roll. not sure if you'll like it but it's fun. Hey Vanity's EP Breathe, Bleed, Grow. we have extremely different tastes in music aside from one or two overlaps, but these are the things I have that I think fall in your categories. check them out on yt or something and see if there are any songs on the albums you like. i won't presume to understand your tastes well enough to pick individual songs do my eyes spy a sex criminals influenced selection
the church of Grant Morrison i'm also a member of the church of arceus but that's a thread for another day
This is literally the most petty thing youve said and im hard-pressed to think of anything that could possibly top this. Yo'ure complaining about a thing that happened while you were asleep, that you wouldnt have known about had someone not told you, and did not directy affect you at all aside from a clock being reset. Did it ever occur to you that maybe it's something in your house that's causing the problem? That surges are more often caused my household appliances than someone pressing a wrong button? And perhaps that's not what caused your computer to blue screen. How do you know? Maybe it was, but regardless of that potential danger there is no need to start throwing insults at people you know nothing about doing a job you have no experience in. Your life is going to be full of miserable **** if you're constantly sweating the small stuff and presuming that everyone around you needs to be told how to do their job correctly lest they be met with the almighty complaint from mom.
but i know it's not it cant be deftones with thomas erak covering weezer is a thing too good to not be fake i will not believe it happened.
