moved into my dorm today was full on prepared for it to be awk town central, being in this room with this person i have nothing in common with and knowing no one, but it turns out my roommate is into geeky stuff like me and seems like a cool guy, and i met this pretty cool girl who is in a similar situation as me (transferring. no familiar faces. generally lost.) in trying to find where something was and later walked back to the dorm talking with her. talking. being friendly. knowing people. this may seem insignificant to most but for me it's like this monumental moment. and now I'm listening to Violent Waves which i've never dug before but i'm enjoying it. and later listening to jflynn. and reading Low again. both of those put me in a uniquely good headspace not a bad night

i hate this last.fm shit was there a reason it needed to be changed? there was an elegant simplicity to it before but now it has this new modern aesthetic that literally makes me want to throw up not to mention i lost a handful of my plays and navigating is less intuitive

in 5 years we will look back at this thread and say "lol we thought THAT was the future? some obtrusive cylinder that you talk to? lol wtf who designed that ****?" like lights that you clap to turn on. yeah, that's the future alright. who knows, maybe this is the next big step towards that unobtainable vision of "the future" but it will have to go through a couple aesthetic overhauls before i'm convinced. i don't understand this fascination with voice commands. maybe its because i'm a quiet guy, but speaking to do something that i could do with a couple strokes on a screen or clicks on a keyboard seems like a waste. takes more effort to say words than do that. but i hope you enjoy it.

ctrl+f > black science ... ctrfl+f > low ... is this some kind of ****ing joke, misty? i went to toys r us for the first time in years and got this sweet rocketeer figure. they had a somewhat tempting han black series figure but the painting on those looks kind of cheap which makes an otherwise good figure look bad so no sale. still they're probably your best bet for good star wars figures.
