today me and a friend decided to write a pulpy sci fi story with audrey hepburn and grover cleveland dimension hopping.

audrey hepburn is like a real life hero. defined by a tragic event and dedicated to helping others because of it. if those comicbook hereos are defined by what informs their actions and having an ideal to represent, she's the closest we've ever had. she's like superman in that there's no catch. no hidden dark side. pure altruism and dedication to humanity. i'm 50 pages into this 400+ page bio and i've already cried once

charade is good when it's not trying to be funny or witty. the mystery is fun, though fairly predictable, and there are a few thrilling chase/action type sequences but man is there a lot of obnoxious clever dialogue and painfully unfunny bits.
