apologies to both of you. anyways, no there is no real reason posts need to count, like i said i am very indifferent to that, i don't care much about post counts. but the problem i have is that the reasons to get rid of them are reasons that can be applied to other sections as well. for example the old threads containing spam, you will find that in every other section as well. another example: easy to abuse code vault to get post count. you can just as easily do that in other sections as well. Help with Life by making up sob stories of life which might not be true or in Kingdom Hearts Help, you can keep spamming supposed help threads. the thing is, i don't see spam posts as being more severe in the Code Vault either so i don't think we should just single it out. once again, there is no real reason they need to count in the Code Vault, but i don't see the compelling reasons to get rid of them either.
this is where i get confused again. where is this idea coming from that i don't do anything? i post in the code vault and i moderate there as well. i think there is a misunderstanding: my habits are just that i don't sign in unless there is a post that i want to reply to or something to moderate. it's the same way i am with every forum. and yes, the code vault is a bit dead, can you really blame me for not posting as often as you think i should (because i do make posts in there)?
that's just false. i am online and check the forums everyday fyi. i don't always sign in, but i do check things out, i assure you, i am there. ok, but can you approach me as well? i will be willing to work with you to deal with problems if you bring them to my attention. because it's harder to see these problems after the fact.
this times a million. please just do this. luxord, you have never ONCE approached me when there were problems. the first time i ever hear about these problems is when you start ranting about them in the Suggestions section. if there are problems just let one of us know, and we'll work with you to deal with it. i'd rather people do that than to backseat mod.
the old four swords game didn't have a single player mode but it feels like the Gamecube version when playing single player mode because they added the ability to call the other Link to your location and switch to control the other Link. yea it is pretty different since Zelda normally has an open world for you to explore instead of going from stage to stage. it's actually a little so-so in single player mode. it's much better with others to play, fortunately i do have some friends to play with so i'm loving it.
true, but the poster above DID just OFFER to make play as boss codes so chill.
only one. usually you can do this by using the Status Mod and giving the world character Sora's status. equip Aerial Sprial and use it like you...
i'm surprised there isn't already a thread about this but anyways. today, a free version of Zelda Four Swords was added to the Nintendo 3DS' store and the regular DS store. you can download this free copy from now until February. it's the GBA version of the game, with extra features like new equipment and a single player mode (this game used to be multiplayer exclusive). i downloaded it earlier today and it's just as good as i remembered.
i'm actually surprised it took this long for PS2 games to stop since the PS3 came out in 2006. the gamestops i visited actually don't have a new section for PS2 games anymore but i had no idea there were PS2 games still being made to this day.
it seemed to me that it was something along the lines of "what? my posts were removed?! if i can't have more post count NOBODY CAN!!!!!" the timing of this thread was also very suspicious given it was made just one night after i deleted posts. but i digress and apologize since that doesn't seem to be the case but the thing is, nobody actually does that. it seems from this thread that there was one person who did that but it wasn't really enough people for it to be that much of a problem. also, its' just as easy to abuse posts in other sections as well. for example someone who can make up a sob story in the "Help with Life" section and is very vague so that they can explain themselves in a few more posts. and remember that stupid "Obama is Dead" thread that everyone flocked to? should we just remove posts from Discussion because everyone who posted got 1 extra count for posting in that thread? also, somebody could simply spam the Kingdom Hearts Help section pretending to need help but actually doesn't. but anyways, it doesn't seem like this is an ACTUAL problem (it seems more like a hypothetical one) aside to this supposed ONE person which is why i'm confused as to why this is even being brought up.
are you serious? did you make this thread because you're mad i deleted TWO your posts? because that's how it's coming off to me now. i actually suspected that right off the bat but i didn't say anything because i didn't think you would do that. your posts were deleted because they would cause the thread to veer off into something the thread wasn't about and really were not helpful to anybody. yes, sometimes posts are wrongfully deleted but i don't feel that's the case this time. sometimes there are unintentional inconsistencies when dealing with things, but i ask that you please trust my judgement. this too
no, you can't use most of other character's abilities when playing as them unfortunately.
ok, i stand corrected if that's possible, i think that's the best solution as well. ok, the argument makes more sense to me now. just putting this out there as well. i seriously doubt anyone posts in the code vault just for the sake of getting a higher post count, or at least not that many anyway.
i actually don't think it does count if there were posts made while it didn't count in the area. i remember my post count not increasing when it was enabled for post counts, but maybe an admin can tell us because i'm not 100% on that i don't think showing posts over 3 years old says ANYTHING about the current Code Vault, i'm baffled as to why you think it does. a lot has changed since then i don't know, i believe it was disabled in the beginning since there were no moderators at all in 2006. and then added shortly after Coders were added since they could prevent a spamfest. but fine, maybe i'm wrong to speak for others, maybe i'm the only one who doesn't care about the post counts (because believe me, most of the posts that i permamently delete are my own because they were comments mods post explaining why threads are closed). maybe there are some who do care. but i don't really see the need to get rid of them though. i don't see anyone abusing code requests just for post counts anyways. or at least not any obvious cases, if there were, i'm sure the posts won't last long. once again, i don't really care that much, i'm very indifferent. but i'm VERY confused as to why you think they need to be removed.
i don't see it causing any harm. i only think it's weird because i've been taught to call my parents by mom and dad. i guess it's kind of a cultural tradition? i see no harm in changing that tradition just because it's what people are used to but at the same time i don't see the harm in calling parents by the real names.
i'm neutral, i'm pretty indifferent to this to be honest. i don't think anyone really cares much about post count anyways. also, why link to something that is over 3 years old? a link to a time when there were NO moderators, and also no post counts counted by the way. the post counts were added along with the original coders. those posts most likely didn't even count towards anyone's count.
but it looks better when i bold it into one word XD
i agree that people take quite ALOT of things for granted. things that other people don't have, like for example, electricity which isn't common in some countries. i also think that the fact that they can even take those things for granted makes their life not that bad. and i think that people taking those things for granted and paying a lot more attention to only the negative, gives people the perception that life is bleaker than it actually is
a good relationship with parents is very subjective, people see things very differently. for example, i personally think it's unhealthy when parents are acting more like their kids' friend rather than doing real parenting, but other people think that's perfectly fine (and i'm sure there's a perfect middleground). anyways, what i think is a healthy relationship is one with respect on both sides, having parents who teach values to the kids, and both the kids and the parents enjoy the other's company (or can at least be civil to each other). and one more important thing that seems to be in healthy relationships is that parents and kids spend time together.
people do have a right to smoke if they want (and of course are of legal age) but people also have the right to not have to inhale that stuff if they don't want. i think it just boils down to the smokers having the courtesy not to smoke near others. i know non-smokers can also choose to remove themselves from the smokers, but i'm sure there are times that always isn't possible.
