i found what really helps me sleep is to get into the habit of waking up and going to sleep around the same time everyday. i really used to have problems with going to sleep but going through the same sleep schedule everyday helps quite a bit. also, don't break the schedule just because it's the weekend or something, that can cause you to have problems all over again. i realize this isn't possible for everyone so i have another advice. if you can't fall alseep within 20 minutes, get up and do something else for about 15 minutes (sometimes i just do some leisure reading or play on my PSP for a little bit) and try again. rinse and repeat until you fall asleep. works for me.
i like those little game additions as well. they're like winks to the people who have played the games. i think this is a good anime so far, i'll definitely check out more episodes.
i'm not sure what we're supposed to be debating about but here goes. i don't think anyone would try to dissolve the three laws you used as an example (well except maybe the last one because it's hugely debated) because there are undeniably very good reasons as to why they need to be enforced. with shoplifting, people taking things that don't belong to them and hurting the store's profits. with DUI, you can really hurt yourself and other people. there are solid reasons why those laws are just and i'm pretty sure no one would argue they need to be dissolved. i don't think anyone against the first 2 examples have a solid argument to make. EDIT: actually i think i know what you're getting at now. i myself am a bit annoyed when people propose to invalidate rules just for self-serving reasons.
there's no such thing as far i know.
it depends. cheats that give you an advantage are still cheats in my opinion. but cheats that let you do other things like play as characters you normally couldn't, i see as game enhancers. of course, don't use hacks/cheats in online games, i don't think anyone likes that.
i actually decided to check this out after seeing it on youtube last week. i'm not sure if i like using in-game music as part of the show, i really like the soundtrack but it feels weird with it in the anime. but i like that there is actually some fighting action, it's like Pokemon, except the trainer gets hurt :)
i don't see Facebook going away anytime soon. i honestly haven't heard much from Google + so i don't know how it's doing. but i heard people prefer Google+ because it gives you more control over certain things.
that's actually why it intrigued me enough to go research it. but yea, i didn't really come across studies with any evidence pointing to that direction even though it states in the title that it somehow helps. the closest thing i found was that one study researched products and found a correlation between piracy rates and sales. however, i don't really buy that because correlation doesn't equal cause, it can easily be switched the other way around to say that sales increases piracy rates. and the only reason i think there was a correlation there was just the popularity of the software or the quality just makes more people willing to go get it, so of course there would be more sales AND piracy if the software is that popular.
i don't know what that green orb is actually. i've yet to see this myself.
i was actually interested in the point about these studies that piracy supposedly helps businesses. it interested me because it seemed very counter-intuitive so i tried researching it. i came up with a few of these studies. however, all of these articles simply state that it does help businesses/increase sales but they don't really offer any explanation or any shred of evidence for that matter. so i was left with a bunch of news articles that pretty much state "piracy is not as bad as you may think. studies show that it indirectly helps businesses". but then i'm left wondering "but how? and is there anything to prove this?" so, does anybody have a link to a good study? i'd really like to read more on this.
i remember this fight being particularly hard. unfortunately, luck kinda plays a factor in this fight (as in, hoping he isn't too ruthless). what i did was i just stuck to Liu Kang's fire and kept my distance. if you're playing 2 player mode, you can have whoever is being targeted distract him by keeping him away from your partner while they continue beating him with long range attacks.
it's actually the same codes for Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence, i'll rename the thread. here are the codes Source: Codetwink Enable Code B4336FA9 4DFEFB79 68B064B4 7932F983 608F4A47 37258991 0CE90ACE BB7182E3 7AD90921 A084498D 08F403DA EE911766 05FB9DD1 12E338EB A53927BC EC6B2CF5 497AFDF5 7CAE18F3 CAF60E7D FE32C78C 013E7C5A FE50D670 5BA998E9 0F6C8849 5010636B 57E9B2BA 2A80F47C 9C8FA421 BEC4FE10 1E3DC57F E050F301 216E7BAD 0D24F401 F16D8E96 B94C50AF 80C56465 0BB67EB9 A11F67DF 4C8323CA F64A4321 C1B07F3F 37B26EAB FDAA2330 719865EE F74498E4 5F90935F 1996367A 5C830970 EB5ED9AD FBA4C982 BA22ACA4 3190F8A4 8F0C7EAB 7940BF4D 7C7F7CF9 4593E2C7 1A7FE10E 54E86DA8 C5243460 FA2DB304 FFE3D1C0 AABD6675 Infinite Health 29B89C68 A3F77D19 C195F7B8 7BD62C6D Infinite Stamina C204D95D 55B7CC42 B0FBB50B 344300DA Have DPM C5248CFB 644736E6 Have Green B9473A34 EBF9BCF6 they don't seem to have the other codes, but here's a link to the page http://cheats.codetwink.com/ps2/view/5557/
that happens to me sometimes too, but it just seems to have stopped for me so i'm not sure how to prevent it. try looking through a different browser just for the time being?
i wasn't going to get this game at first, but it looks like they added enough to make it more than just a rehash. i actually pre-ordered it to get the free costume pack. was hoping for Megaman X to be one of the characters but alas, my dreams seem to have been crushed and grinded into the ground. but at least Vergil is there :)
i actually missed the Bloody Mary silhouette the first 2 times the commercial came on. when my friends reacted to how creepy that part was i was totally confused XD i never watched any of these movies before but maybe i'll start soon.
hmmm, this is most likely where a difference of opinion will occur, but anyways that situation doesn't really fall under not being able to afford it in my opinion. the reason i believe that is since it appears that your parents are the ones who are expected to buy the games, i would think it's more of a question on whether your parents can afford it rather than you personally; and it seems like a video game isn't financially out of reach for them. well, i'm done, if you disagree with this opinion of mine, i understand.
yea, i thought the motorcycles were a little too over the top and unrealistic. i was able to enjoy 5DS a little bit after i got past the whole motorcycle duels thing but it's still strange. yea, i liked the animation in that movie as well, it looked really good.
yes, while it's technically not stealing, i think the point that anti-piracy people are trying to make is the effect it can have on companies' potential profit. i never really liked that argument because i don't believe that people who pirate the games are the people who can't afford them. video games aren't really that expensive to be out of reach for poor people. even really poor people own video game consoles and buy games. if they can afford the hardware to play the games (the systems), and can afford to make monthly payments for internet service (which is often used to pirate games) and can buy the discs to burn them on, i don't think buying a video game is financially out of reach. the people who can't afford the video games, i would think are people who don't even have a video game console. yes, yes, i know there's kind of an assumption i'm making that people who play video games can afford to buy them, but i don't believe they are entirely baseless.
i happened to be awake at the time so i caught the show as well. i agree, i myself also hate the way that the very first episode is already a "To Be Continued" and it annoys me more than it would make me want to tune in next week. anyways, i get the impression that the show is geared more for kids this time around (i felt the previous series were aimed at teenagers). i actually liked the fact that they had Augmented Reality vision because it's something that actually exists in real life. it makes me wonder if they ever will do that with Yugioh cards but it works in the context of the show. i would personally give the episode a 7.0 out of 10 but i'll tune in again next week if i'm awake to see if this show has any potential.
that actually seems like the most likely explanation. i always wondered why the game did that.
