I believe this was suggested a while ago (when we got the new skin), and the reason it couldn't be changed was because it would change other things as well and wouldn't look good.
I'll try and find the reasoning again but I think that was it.

    Thank you. :]
Yeah, I'm really excited for the New York ComiCon/Anime Festival, that's where I'll be cosplaying her. xD
I'm seriously thinking of doing commissions, so if you do want knives like that it probably wouldn't be expensive at all since they're about 7-8" long and made from wood. Let me know if you're interested. :]
Ah, the shield is painted with the symbol of the Mandalorian soldiers from Star Wars. I've been thinking of doing a Medieval Boba Fett or something. The shield was done before the scythe and I learned how to use spray paint more effectively in the time between, lol. Definitely don't give up on wanting to make stuff though, even if it seems like you've got no idea what you're doing (I've been there many times) keep pushing through and you'll likely end up with a result you like. And even if you don't, you know what to do differently next time.
If you do decide to start making props and costumes I'd love to see them.

Here's another thing I did, one of the modded Nerf guns I mentioned earlier. Added a lot of stuff, cut off part of the original barrel and put the black fixtures on.

Been a while since I posted here, but I think I'm going to end up turning this into a log of my cosplay stuff in general. I'm not sure where else I'd move it since we don't have a Hobbies section anymore, lol.
Prop wise, I'm working on updating some things and building new ones - I already know I'm going to end up with two versions of the Master Sword (one for my Toon Link and the other for Skyward Sword Link), Kyouko's spear (from Madoka), Skyward Sword Zelda's Goddess Harp, Cloud's Buster Sword, Oki's mask (Okami), and various blasters for my Mandalorian.

Lots of stuff, but 2012 has only just started.
Costumes I've completed are as follows: Tifa (Advent Children), Holo (Spice & Wolf), Katniss (Hunger Games), Toon Link (Wind Waker/Spirit Tracks), and Oki (Okami).
Works in progress are Korra (Legend of Korra), Mandalorian (Star Wars), and Dragon Kid (Tiger & Bunny). SS Link is being considered.
I don't have time or space to work on this stuff during college, so they are all things I'll be doing on breaks or weekends when I'm home.

    So here's some pictures.

Sword, sheathe, and shield will definitely be reinforced, if not remade entirely. Probably will get a new wig too.

The main costume of this year. My goal is to be approved as an official Mandalorian Mercs member before Celebration VI this August and be able to troop with them there.

I was eight years old and in third grade, middle of social studies class in New Jersey. All of a sudden another teacher came in and said something to our teacher, and while that happened a few of my friends and I that were sitting near the window saw the smoke. We didn't know what the hell was going on, we though it was a fire or something but it wasn't like anything we'd ever seen.
Minutes later the principal came over the loudspeaker and evacuated the school; the entire school was outside and that's when we saw the magnitude of whatever was going on. Never in my life have I seen anything like that and I know it's an image I won't ever forget. There's something so haunting about seeing thick black smoke against a pure blue sky, even though I didn't know what happened I knew something was definitely wrong. I could hear sirens faintly, too - though I don't know if those were local or from Ground Zero.
Everyone's parents came pretty quickly to pick their kids up, it was on the way home I learned about what happened. My parents gave me a brief explanation but had the radio on in the car.

It was a few days after that the full scale of it all hit my class. Some of my friends had parents that would've been on one of the flights but weren't due to strange flukes - one got sick, one decided to cancel a meeting - but there were people in my school that did lose a parent, and that was pretty big because we were a school of grades K-8 and only had about 200 students. Teachers lost friends...school didn't continue normally for a few days because of all this. In the end, I nearly lost my stepmother (she worked in a building close to the ones that collapsed) and some friends are gone.

Maybe reblog it and add that you're the source? They might see it that way if they check reblogs.

    Les Mis

I saw the revival on Broadway a few years back, it's one of my favorite musicals, right up there with Phantom and The Lion King.
I do hope it comes around my area again, I'd definitely go.
