It's a seperate Magical Girl series entirely from what I'm aware.

The confusion has likely arisen from Kitty's thread in the spamzone where she was making a predictive pun about the bunny in this new series being like Kyubey, and thus the thread was named 'new Madoka' series (whatever the thread was called).

But yeah, it isn't related in any way other than the fact it has Magical Girls in it.

Yeah, I know exactly why, but at the same time; I like how that sets it all up too.
But yeah. I'll be sure to let you know my verdict too. Although I already really liked what I saw from watching the Let's Play however long ago.

Meanwhile... I'm pretty pleased that we get the OST (albeit, a rather small collection of the tracks... ;_;) with it too and the other bonuses like the art book etc.
When a game includes it's OST... that's always a HUGE bonus in my opinion. I wish more games did that more often.

Picked this up today myself. Looking forward to playing it when I get a free moment. XD
I've watched some Let's Plays of it with subs from a while ago, but yeah. Actually playing it instead of watching it will be nice.

Just letting people know I only posted cause frankly... I've missed posting and also, I wanted to show where Simone and Mina were at and give a hint at how they'll tie back into the plot.

Ultimately... I'm still waiting for post templates before I go posting properly again.
The rest of my characters will also have to wait for post templates, but at least they weren't too involved with others, so it'll be fine for now.

"Simone!" Kamina shouted from inside Kokuren, her controls not responding to her as the giant mecha was running away from the surrounding Reaper Forces. "Why the hell are we running away?! Sure these things are big, but our fighting spirit can easily burn right through them!" She tried and failed at gaining control of Kokuren Lagann again. Simone's will was literally overpowering the controls from Lagann's cockpit. "Give me back control right now, Simone! What are you so scared of?"
"Dying!" The younger girl's voice shot back in fear, her earlier nightmare still fresh in her mind. She was terrified... terrified of losing Kamina. "We don't stand a chance against those things, sis! I won't lose you! I won't!"
"...Simone?" Mina spoke softly... realising just how freaked out Simone really was. She let out a soft sigh. "I told you before didn't I? ...I'm not going anywhere... but you know what... you're right."
"Huh?" Simone's tone was that of surprise.
Kamina folded her arms as she gave up trying to seize control back. "Of course, you're my smart baby sis after all. I'm sure Kokuren Lagann could kick these guy's asses, but we could still use a better strategy and the other guys too. So... we need a little extra something."
"What do you mean?"
Kamina smirked on screen and put on her pointy sunglasses of awesomeness. "Remember what we were tracking with Yoko, Leeron, fore-head girl and those two kids?"
"You mean that Gunman bas-"
"That's right Simone! See, we both think the same thing!" Kamina's voice grew in volume during her following proclamation. "There are a lot of us with Gunman now, meaning we could use a base of our own! Those tracking co-ordinates that Leeron found are still here with Kokuren Lagann and are still giving us a signal!"
"So you want us to steal it?! How can we do that?!" Simone exclaimed, the fear evident in her voice.
"Come on Simone! We'll be fine! You just gotta believe!"
"But... I don't think we can do it alone.."
"Simone! Don't doubt yourself. Remember... Your drill is the drill that will pierce the heavens! If you can't believe in yourself... Then believe in me! Believe in the Kamina who believes in you!" She exclaimed proudly, gesturing to herself and then to Simone.
Simone's facial expression changed as it always did when Kamina reassured her. Kamina's words always had power. "Right. I believe, sis!"
"That's my girl! Now let's go! We're gonna take that thing for ourselves and surprise our sexy male versions of us with it! And then... those giant flying laser shooting wimps won't stand a damn chance!"
