[Tumblr ~ OOC: Sorry for the major delay in my posting guys. Been going through a lot of life drama in the past days. But yeah, I'll try and make up for that now. ~ ♪Listening to♪] Tyler stared outside through his window at what could only be described as a torrential storm. He let out a deep sigh... His day before had been not the most productive since he was stuck inside... and he was worried... about the other email people, but most of all, Quin and Abby. In particular after reading Abby's Tumblr... he'd been ready to run out to the school despite the immediate danger, and he knew just how dangerous it could be... After all... he was one of the names on the email. His life was always in question now. ...He didn't care though. While it was easy to say such a thing and would sound cliche. Tyler was just that type of guy. He'd risk everything for a friend. They all had to be there for each other. And he was prepared to do such a thing. It was only Abby's reassurances that she'd be fine that had stopped him from running outside.t Music boomed from his headphones as he sat in front of his laptop, trying to ease the worries in his mind. The screen showed photoshop open and the email from before enhanced. He too had decided to try and figure out what was going on... Since he was trapped here, he might as well do something useful, but all he had found was... this... A code of some sort... Maths was not his strong suit so he was struggling trying to find a sequence of some sort or mathematical pattern, and he was out of ideas. He tried rearranging the code, looking at it from top to bottom, backwards, diagonally, but... even if he was doing something right, he wouldn't have known. He just couldn't figure it out. He had no idea what he was even looking for, let alone how he should try to decipher it. The internet had turned up blank as well, but... of course it would. Crestatia wouldn't make it that easy. He let out another sigh... "No. I can't give up yet. I won't ever quit no matter what it takes. I'll beat you at your game Crestatia. Just wait. ...I won't ever give up." He vowed to the storm around him. There was one thing you could always count on with Tyler... and that was... that he'd always be stubborn.

[Tumblr ~ OOC ~ ♪Listening to♪ (not in the mood for music this morning)] The evening of the 'fourth day' had ended without much happening event wise. Tyler had gotten home, dropped his bad to the floor and tried to forget the day's events by washing them away with a hot shower. He felt pretty rotten. Not because of the whole 96 days left to live thing, but... He could tell... His worry for Quin just made her feel worse, and that in turn made him feel depressed. Tyler hated making people feel bad whether intentional or not (and he never aimed for intentional in the first place). He'd sighed deeply, and after his shower, flung himself onto his bed to sleep, not bothering to check Tumblr. The next day... he sent Quin a text saying he had to go into school early so he'd be leaving ahead of her and she can just drive herself today. And so... he took a long walk. Passing by the scenery, going the long way through the park and trying to keep his head clear as he thought about Crestatia and everything else that was happening. Is there anything I can do? ...Anything at all? There must be something I'm capable of that can make a difference. He delved deep into his mind letting his creative juices take over and turn his mind into a deductive processing machine that would be able to seek out any and all answers. ...If there were any to be found that is, and so far, he was drawing blanks. Everyone on that email... were they chosen at random? It's not like any of them including himself deserved death. It's not like Thomas did. Or the two who would die today either. Crestatia... who was she? Why was she doing this? Out of boredom? She reminded him of characters from several manga and anime he had been interested in. Crestatia is the GameMaster in all of this. The one holding all the cards... A real Frederica Bernkastel. The one overseeing this game of hers. She can possibly see all the outcomes that lie ahead. ...heck, she's probably created them all already in such a case. And then it clicked to Tyler. As sick as it was... he'd need to look at it from her perspective. She was a GameMaster, 'Game' being the key word. This was a game to her. So... But... if she's doing this for fun... then wouldn't it get boring if it was too predictable. If everything went as planned, while she might be satisfied that it all goes according to plan, all she is doing is watching us walk to our deaths. No... Any gamer knows this fact. One of the most boring things of all is watching someone else play a game. She's going to involve herself and take an active role in this. The question is how?... and... is there a way that we can work that to our advantage? How many will have to die before we can escape this? ...Or will we simply all die as she expects? This was simply all guesswork on Tyler's part, but the fact was... if she was involving herself, while she'd be playing this game to win... if the result was predictable, what would be the point in playing? Would this be like watching a movie to her? Or would she want to influence the direction of the game as it went along, and if that was the case... was there anything any of the 'players' would be able to do to influence this direction into a favorable outcome. It was like this was all a visual novel, and there were certain 'flags' that would trigger events, but what were those flags going to be and what would they trigger? It was tied into the rules, that was the biggest clue they had been given. A game needs rules, and those rules determined how they would live their lives the next 95 days. They would be related to any possible flags that could be triggered, Lost in his thoughts... Tyler made it to school in no time. Everything started as normal, but Tyler did notice something strange... ...Where the hell is everybody?
[Tumblr ~ OOC: Gonna give Sax a chance to respond before I move on. If she doesn't get the chance to or whatever, I'll just cover the transition to the next day in my next post. lol ~ ♪Listening to♪] ♪ Tyler's voice would not come to him. Instantly, everything that had been dwelling inside him turned into lead as a possessed Anthony literally turned everything into a flowery órgy mess of floweryness and abnormality. ...Crestatia? So that was the name of the witch who was putting them through this. Who had just proven... that everything in the email was in fact... very real. Then Crestatia gave them a chance, a chance to ask questions. Several questions came to mind all as a result of the information the email offered, but still, Tyler felt his voice failing him. ...and then it was too late. Crestatia was gone and Anthony collapsed. "Are you alright, Tyler?" Quin enquired, looking at him. "I do not feel well, myself, but I will be fine." Tyler felt a tad choked still, but found that while the hard beating in his chest had yet to subside, his mind was starting to clear from the initial panic. This was good. He was calming down, despite how impossible such a thing should be. His breathing calmed down a bit more and he was able to look at Quin again despite feeling a bit numb himself. "...I'm alright. Don't worry. -but... what about him?" he referred to Anthony. But it was then that Anthony was carried off leaving them with not much that they could do to help. "...Quin. This is real. ...Isn't it?" he asked her, already knowing the answer, but still finding it necessary to ask. The expression on her face however, the expression that even she couldn't hide answered it for him without her having to say a word. "Yeah... thought so." It was strange, but the confirmation served as a bit of a relief in it's own way. There was no doubt now. They knew what they were facing. 100 days to live. ...No. It was 96 days left now. ...As calm once more settled on Tyler, his mind started to kick into action and work rapidly, deducing even the most minor of details and possibilities. That was the thing about Tyler. While he didn't act very academic, it didn't mean he was stupid. Quite the opposite in fact. Due to his love of writing, his mind worked very quickly when it came to deduction and creating as many different scenarios as possible, working out even the slightest of branches that might change one path to another. His mind's eye gazed over the memorized email and the events of the days that had passed, looking for even the smallest clue and detail that might have been missed. Those rules... they were part of the puzzle. Not just the ones they could see, but there was something they missed in the fine print, but more than that... there was just something else behind it all. And what was up with those deals that Crestatia talked about? ...Tyler's mind thought to who they had already lost. Thomas. ...Yes. The no romance rule. ...That's what had gotten him. And now two more were next? ...on the fifth day... WAIT! That was tomorrow. He looked at Quin. "I'm guessing our little celebration is off, huh? It's probably not the best time now after all." he sighed a little, but then offered her a grin as he tried to be a source of strength, knowing what was on her mind. ...about tomorrow. She was obviously wondering if it would be her. "Don't worry. It's not going to be you. I'm sure. ...We'll get through this somehow. Promise." It wasn't like he was making a promise he couldn't keep, but he knew he'd do all he could to make it true, at least... well... only death itself would stop him. That didn't detract from the horrible truth that tomorrow; if it wasn't them who died... that still meant that two names from that list... would stop living tomorrow.
Achievement stuff time! I believe I'm entitled to U-Mix a lot (since I mixed my own) And Crack Dub, because it was absolutely terrible. (I'm never attempting to sing that high again). I'm not sure about this last one... but omg no, y? The reason I ask is because the song was really tough due to how high it was and way out of my comfort zone, but I still gave it an attempt which made it to the actual night. If I don't qualify, fair enough, but I figure I'd ask since... I'm still not entirely sure what the true requirements are for this achievement.
I think DT is in love. XD

[Tumblr ~ OOC ~ ♪Listening to♪] Tyler wondered the same as Quin as she quietly expressed her question when they took a seat. It didn't take long for Mr. Havens to appear. What was said next... came as a complete shock. A chill swept over the entire Auditorium at Haven's words... A student... had died? ...And then came the name. 'Thomas.' Thomas?... b-but... Tyler himself didn't know Thomas all that well. He'd seen him around every now and then, and followed the guy on Tumblr... but he didn't know him that well at all... a shame. Now he never would. But something else rang in Tyler's mind. Something he'd been pushing back thanks to all the excitement and good feelings of Quin's concert. The email. ...Thomas's name had been on the email. "...that's just... a coincidence... right?" He mumbled quietly... so quiet that nobody but Quin would be likely to hear him. At this point his face had paled rather considerably. It was no secret that Thomas had liked M. It was always obvious with their Tumblr messaged... was he killed because of that rule in the email... NO ROMANCE. ...No. It was just not possible. What could take somebodies life as easily as that just because of the words of a stupid email. ...C? Who the hell was this C? No... whether it was denial or just... common sense or whatever, but Tyler couldn't believe that this was possible. ...but what would it take to prove such a thing? To put minds to rest... no deaths would have to occur. But... to prove it was real... it would take... more? No! That just wasn't right at all! Every name on that list... was a person. A living being. Who had a family, a history... who... hadn't lived a full life yet. It was just... too horrible to imagine if the email was true. Tyler tried to bring himself back under control and took a glance at Quin who... seemed unfazed... but Tyler knew better. Just because she looked unfazed didn't mean she actually was. However, again just like before, Tyler knew not to push it. If Quin wanted to talk to him, she already knew she was able to whenever she was ready. So instead... all Tyler did as a good gesture of friendship was place his hand over Quin's and give it a gentle squeeze to show his support. His mind wondered briefly to the others on the email. Were they having the same thoughts right now? ...Quin's name was on that list. So was Abby's. M's... That Cherno guy... and several others all from this school. What had any of them ever done? What had Tyler himself ever done? ...No! ...That list was just... and Thomas's death... how could it be anything but a coincidence. Tyler forced himself to calm down once more. He was fine. He would continue forward just as before, strong willed and staying true to himself, and most importantly; he'd be there for his friends, old and new. That's what mattered.
[Tumblr ~ OOC: Doing a slight bit of godmodding here as Saxima is busy, but I'm sure that she'd want Quin to be present for this announcement thing. If there is an issue, please just let me know and I'll fix it, but I asked Jayn first, and she said she reckons Saxima wouldn't mind in this case. ~ ♪Listening to♪] After Quin said her farewells, the time came for Tyler to find Abby who had gotten lost in the crowd... eventually he succeeded after many attempts of guiding her on the phone. By now it was really late, and there was no way in hell that he'd let her go home alone when it was this dark. He did have morals after all. She tried to dissuade him but he was stubborn, and eventually she gave in. The walk back was pleasant. Abby was really interesting to talk to, and whats more... SHE LAUGHED AT HIS JOKES! And apparently genuinely at that. It was such a light hearted laugh, and he smile was so pure and cheerful. She was... again not escaping Tyler's notice; cute... Very cute. He was glad that he was able to make her smile and laugh. It felt nice to be able to do that for another person. It was almost a shame when they had to say goodbye. He ended up spending 15 minutes outside her doorstep before finally parting with the girl. He flicked his headphones on, played his music at full volume, and the rest of the journey was uneventful. When he got home, he collapsed on his bed and fell asleep instantly. The next morning, his usual preparations before school occurred. He had a shower, got changed into his usual comfy style of clothing, ate breakfast, cleaned his teeth and finally left the house. He headed to Quin's house and greeted her as usual, she too being ready to leave by the time he got there. They both got to her car, and the journey was as nice as ever, perhaps more so since they both talked excitedly about the events of the previous night. Quin was a good driver, and traffic seemed to be light right now, so they got to the school in no time at all. They parked and headed into school, but that was when... a surprise announcement was made. ...So they'd be missing the first lesson huh? That's not a problem... but it was a rare occurrence for such a thing to happen. As such... the two made their way to the Auditorium as instructed.
It wasn't intended to be an appeal like that in terms of rudeness. But very well, I apologise if I caused any offense. I will stress now though that if anyone else had been in Midnight's situation, I'd have jumped to their defense in such a case too. It's got nothing to do with my connection to her etc. The others who were removed or were in danger of being removed had their own circumstances where some were communicated in their cases, and some were not. But those situations were different to this particular situation. Take for example today being 'Thanks Giving' (or Saxima's birthday/someone elses) or whatever. If people hadn't been able to post for whatever reason (family or... stuff) in regard to those things/events, I'd have jumped to their defense in the same way too. For some events such as birthdays or holidays etc, I feel it is pretty obvious that not everyone will be able to take part for various reasons and in such instances, excuses should be made. But again. I apologise for my rudeness and will ensure it doesn't happen again. That's a promise.
Indeed. It might take a little while... but I'm sure it'll happen eventually. I don't tend to download many ISOs if I can help it, but I'll definitely be okay with this. If I feel guilty, I might import the UMD just so I've actually at least paid for it. lol
I'm also wanting to put an appeal against this Midnight being removed thing. Yesterday of all things was her birthday and she had things to do. Also, she did post the day beforehand. So surely that should be a legitimate excuse. And the fact is, if she hadn't have had uni and been able to see that warning, shed have posted within the time constraints (3 hours) for sure. I know I'm not the only one here who knows she is a dedicated role-player, and if it wasn't for extenuating circumstances, she'd have certainly posted on schedule. I know things have to be fair and that rules are rules, but I personally feel that some slack should be cut here. Again... it was her birthday after all. :/
