So, the 2010 Olympic mascots for the winter Olympics in Vancouver BC were revealed yesterday... and there are many mixed feelings about them. Let's see... there's... Sumi: - Metro Vancouver (Apparently he also enjoys hot cocoa...) Quatchi: - Metro Vancouver (He also seems to like photography, traveling, and all kinds of food...) Miga: - Metro Vancouver (She also enjoys snowboarding, and her favorite food is salmon...) and... MukMuk: - vancouver2010.com/mascot So, as you can see, those are our mascots. Some love them and believe they represent BC (as well as the rest of Canada) perfectly. Others believe they're wanna-be Pokemon rip-offs and better represent Asian culture, other then BC. Myself, I am un-decided. I am kinda diggin' the Sasquatch, but still pretty neutral on the subject. Any thoughts, feelings, comments/ rantings you want to state, please do so here. And I must say, it is so much lighter than the old ones, even with the battery installed. There isn't much of a difference in the screen resolution, but it is slightly brighter than the original model. I'm not too sure how well the new way of putting in the UMD's will last, it seems pretty... floppy. (You just put it in and shut the door. There's no longer a tray for it to be placed in.) The flat back is a nice change compared to the bulky covers that the old model had. It's much more comfortable to play now hours on end. One thing I'm not too sure of is the sound. The slim seems to be slightly quieter when it comes to pumping out the noise, but the quality seems to be about the same. All around though, it is quite an improvement from the old system. With the clearer screen, more dignified D-pad buttons, flat back, weight difference and more; I'm definitely glad that I own one. And for those of you worried about the price... it costs only $30 more than the old system.

Well... I've been thinking... Since Nintendo discontinued making the Wii a few months ago... will they be re-issuing it but as more? For an example... Will it still have the capabilities and look of a Wii... but with much better coordination of the Wii remote and nunchuk, or a better graphics system? Or will Nintendo release a whole new console? (Sorry if this topic has been up for discussion before... I'm just pondering out loud...)
