Yet another battle had ended and once more they were given a brief break before the next one had begun. There really was no break for the weary in this whole thing, but he had no choice but to suck it up and carry on fighting. His allies for this fight had also taken a change and ended up being very reminiscent of the group form back in Castle of Dreams. He knew for a fact that he had tried to shoot the grimm before it had gotten to far away, but by the time he had gotta a lock on it, it had already gotten out of his range. He figured that the crazy lady had to be Noire, a statement that he did agree with to some degree, and nodded. "Might as well, we actually talked like he wanted us to." They did what he asked and thus he had no reason to be upset at them. The reason behind his lack of communications was simple, he saw no need for it. He was plenty strong himself and if he could take down Grimm by himself then why should he waste time 'communicating' with others. From the look that Lloyd had given him, he supposed that he actually had to say something back. "I've never been one for the mushy 'teamwork', just point me in the direction of an enemy and I'll deal with it my way. Shouldn't that be enough leader." In the same vein, none of them had really given him any thing that shows he would be able to rely on them either. Not to mention that relying on others was something that could be used against oneself, as he's witness firsthand.
Gavin's concerns were warranted, hell he could practically hear Midarah scolding him about yet another choice to be reckless. Still he had no plans on changing his mind or dying for that matter. He walked off in the direction Thea had gone and caught up to her with soon. That was when he realized that he didn't quite know what to say in this kind of situation. Following behind Frozone, Chrono ascended up the ladder up the ladder and was happy to be back on the surface. The following crowd that just happened to there waiting for him made him not so happy. Being bombarded by questions, Chrono basically just stood there unsure of what to say any of them or how many were actually aimed at him. Not that he knew what his superhero name was or wanted to think of one right now. He groaned at the one statement that he gathered was made towards Tinarah. He had to remind himself that hopefully they would be out of these costumes soon. Its only temporary. Any other questions that were thrown their way were eventually tuned out due to the sheer number of them making it a real mess to figure out who was being asked what. Out of the two rides before them, he didn't have any preferences as to who he rode along with. The same, however, couldn't be said about everyone else. Namely his sister. Recalling what had happened before they'd left for this world between her and Qamar, he thought it be best to not have them ride together. Gently he placed his hand on Tinarah's shoulder. "Why don't you ride with Boreas and I'll go with Qamar."
To say that Chrono felt relived once the device had been destroyed would be an understatement as it was practically like someone had removed a weight from his shoulders. He stretched after that feeling, glancing over to Take as he did. It was a relief that his friend didn't seem to be that hurt after taking a blow from Mr. Incredible for him. Yes his sister did use her magic to heal him, but people did the same with his broken hand and it wasn't perfectly healed. "If everything's been taken care of, then we should probably regroup with the others."

For the time being it looked like Cerdic and Alder were handling dealing with the monster before them, as such Chrono remained next to the extractor. He didn't have any idea what was going on the screen of the device, but he was curious as to what was going on. So long as the aforementioned two were find he would stay by the extractor.
Feeling the same wave of being inspired, but unmotivated at the same time, Chrono simply attacked Mermerella as much as he could seeing as some of his attack were likely to be blocked by Mr. Incredible. 15/70HP 2/20MP 14/34AP
The lack of a response that they had gotten from the darkside after all of their attacks was concerning. Instead of possibly over thinking about it, Kel instead went in for another attack. Unlike last time his attack was nothing fancy, but just a simple combo. Kel attacked with a combo.
Zephyr had grown noticeably tenser as the story went on. First the mentioning of a demon had seeming set him off, he could feel his fist clenching as tightly as it could. he managed to keep himself in control to prevent any of his magic form leaking out, however by the time the story had come to an end, a few sparks had flew off of his hands as a result of his pent up aggression. he had the strong urge to punch something, whether it be a tree, the mayor or the spider demon, it didn't matter. just as long as something got punched. "Of course we'll help, someone needs to bring that to an end." everything matched up with what Selena had told him and Zephyr found himself placing a hand to his chest, namely where the vial he'd gotten from her hung around his neck. "Do any of you happen to know where Xislyn's lair is?" Another idea came to mind, one that he would be able to do while Selena was being saved.
While Chrono was distracted thinking of the various different options of who among them had the second heart of pure light, he was struck from the side by one of the hats. The blow did hurt, but Chrono was able to remain on his feet and smack the hat away. What he wouldn't give to be able to actually heal himself with his own magic. "No you didn't." Chrono said first to Take. "And no I do not have any ideas right now." For a brief moment he was caught off guard with how Qamar had cackled after being hit herself. She wasn't enjoying this was she? It would have to be a question for another time as Take offered to essentially watch his back, which was appreciated. Chrono took a step forward in the direction that Frozone was taking them, grabbing Take by the wrist and basically dragging him along as he did. "Then keep me covered as get out of here." One thing had lead to another and the diverse group of heartless had turned into two massive swarms of heartless that had broke apart the group of keyblade wielders. It was Steel, Aislinn, Beuce, Ananta, Hikaru and himself that had were made to deal with the blue darkside before them. He didn't even know that they could turn blue, but other than just an appearance change, nothing else seemed to be different about it. Still clad in his soldier get up, his called forth his keyblade and attacked with a Zantesuken. Something that was quickly becoming a signature way of starting off a battle like this. Kel used Zantesuken Vallus had been doing nothing besides cutting up heartless, so the sudden change to a large group of them that were already clustered together didn't faze him at all. The hats were the last thing that Chrono wanted to see down in the tunnels and once again the hats were exactly happy to see them either. The first small number had went over to attack him and Chrono avoided the first attack. Actually being able to get some rest had helped to some degree. He didn't feel completely a hundred percent, but there definitely some improvement in his condition now when compared to yesterday. "A second pure heart of light?" As surprised as he was, he still managed to keep his voice low as to not alert anyone else. Chrono shook his head, cutting another hat that had drifted over towards him. He had no clue who else among them could have a pure heart of light. In the mist of striking down another hat, his mind thought of various different possibilities despite not knowing the exact criteria. Zephyr looked around at the changing scenery as they followed behind Izra, the spider webs and overall swamp area seemed to go hand and hand for the part. Recalling what was said about there being monsters and such in this area, the shadows that seemed to stretch out of Izra made sense. They had to be scouting about the area to make sure that the route was safe. Was it really such a good idea to bring all the kids out here? They'd soon arrived at an abandoned house and following a quick whistle, a large group of kids came running out. This seemed to be everyone, so she wasn't lying about that. Good to know. "So Selena's still at the village then?" Zephyr asked, a little surprised to see Kyo here, but not all that surprised about Jack. He made a quick look towards Kyo and nodded at his question.
"Trap or not, if he's telling the truth and the kids are safe then we should confirm it with our own eyes. If its a trap then," He paused, cutting a glance towards Necos. "We'll cross that bridge when we get to it." Zephyr noticed the looked that Gavin had sent him and merely shrugged. He had no problems in talking in private, but didn't really see a need for it. While Zephyr was saying this, Neco had taken off his, or rather her hood. Standing before them now was a girl, a cute one at that, which made Zephyr feel weird about the fact that he was fully ready to tackle her at one point. He was certainly relieved that he didn't go through with it. The brief run down she'd given them had but some things in perspective and nodded. "Alright, I'll trust you to lead us to the children." Trust, he wasn't truly fond of that word. Not because what it meant, but the burden it could bring and the price that burden could have.
The memory rang through Chrono and again he was left unsure of completely what he was doing in it. For what reason he would need darkness for? More importantly, he turned his attention towards the creature that had formed in before them. The mere sight of it filled him with the feeling of disgust, just knowing that he had some part in it being created. "Any bright ideas on what to do?" The console booting up may have triggered a memory, the memory did show him messing around with said console at all. Thus removing the option of him trying to mimic what was does in said memory.
Chrono stared at his costume with mixed feelings. It was like he was staring at something that came right out of a comic book, which in terms of her skills was impressive. Given that this was all done in one day after she'd made very...interesting notes about them the previous day. The problem with this was that again it looked like it came right out of a comic book and he was expected to wear this. Sure he was impressed with the craftsmanship, but he'd rather someone much more suited and capable to wear it. Inevitable, despite his mental complaints, he put on the suit. Never again. Following Frozone calling for them, Chrono spotted the letters up in the sky. They were having fun with this weren't they? The thought of that bothered him greatly. "If we are going to do this, then we should come up with a plan." Mr. Incredible was still on the enemy side, which was an issue in itself. Going for the goggles were a good start though. "If we are to try to break Mr. Incredible free of the goggles control, then we need to know how to go about it that doesn't involved going in and hoping for the best."
Judging by her response, it was a good thing that Kel didn't refer to the cosmetic change that the solider job gave him. Well he was unsure if there would've been any major differences between responses, but a keyblade seemed more reasonable than an article of clothing that really did nothing special at all. As far as he was aware of course. A small group of darkballs had jumped out towards Kel and were swiftly frozen solid through the effects of his Aura. They cracked, fell apart and blew away in the wind in the same diamond dust fashion that the heartless from before had. This allowed Kel to turned toward Aeira with a slightly lessened risk of being attacked by a heartless. "That's an aura, well my aura anyway." Kel paused, putting a finger to his chin. He really didn't know much about auras to be able to explain it to anyone. What he did have was his own interpretations on what it was, which was the best that he could do right now. "Aura's are, well, something that we were given upon becoming masters. We weren't really told much, if anything, about them." Hopefully he was making sense cause he was starting to doubt his own explaining skills regarding it. "Pretty much its a magic like skill." That wrapped up the hopefully follow able explanation of what aura's were. It served more to show how little he knew about them himself, which was already pretty evident by how he'd accidentally used it in the first place. He'd gotten name to put to the person he'd been speaking with though. "I'm Kel." Just as he's said that, the next group of heartless came floating his way. Instead of taking the easy way and just freezing them with his aura, he opted to be rid of them the easy way by using his keyblade. With his weapon armed he ran off to intercept the heartless. His keyblade became a lit in flames as it pierced through the first heartless. The flames had caused the Darkball to burst into well...flames. His stride continued as for the still alight keyblade was later tossed through another group of darkballs that had grouped together. A recurring theme that was easy to take advantage of with the right AOE attack. A large number of the group of heartless had been swiftly beaten by the time his keyblade had returned to him. Still on his own little war path, Vallus continued to literally cut his way through the heartless that popped up around him.
