I'll confess, I nostalgiagasmed hardcore seeing the trailer for this. I adored Winnie the Pooh as a pup, and as an animation buff I'm thrilled to see Disney trying to go back to the Golden Age it was in during the 90s. This looks good from a visual perspective, what Disney should be like compared to what it has been lately. Plus Eeyore's my fave...I love that poor donkey to death.
I'm comparing this to the speakeasies back when the Prohibition had been passed. They banned alcohol, closed down places selling it, but people still got their hands on the stuff, and found many (illegal) ways of distributing it. They could shut down a place, but you could count on another opening up shortly afterward. So sure they managed to get one site closed down. Is that going to stop pirating? Not likely. People will find another source somewhere. I myself did use Limewire, but only for soundtracks that I just couldn't find on iTunes or in stores. Everything else I caved in and bought legally through iTunes. And even still I only had it for a short while once I found out how virus-ridden the thing was. Made a brothel seem clean. And as far as I know Frostwire is still working, my brother's using it (much to my dismay) but I haven't heard any loud shouts of "FFFFFFFFF it's off" yet.
Huge Gleek here. I adored the first season, have several CDs including the one they did for Rocky Horror, and just get a kick out of it. Sue is hilarious, and I adore Kurt to death. Last night's episode was good, but I found myself "WTF"-ing a few times.
What the...I gotta see this now. XD
I'll take the gloves. Those look nice. But lol at the saucer chair. I didn't think Hot Topic carried those.
24! Anybody got a dollar?
Another important thing no one seems to have touched upon yet is what's going to end up happening to the newborn. Physically the 10-year old can't provide care for the baby, at that young an age her body just isn't ready for childrearing. No breasts= no way to actually feed the baby, so now the infant is being deprived of key nutrients, while Mom (the 10-year old, I mean) is still trying to recover from 9 months of having what she needed to grow with drained from her. I can only hope the newborn ends up going to a caring family that can actually, you know, take care of it. I feel kind of awful for the girl too...I wonder if it really is their culture, and her mother drilled it into her that she was going to have to do this at 10.
I always go to Anime Boston every year, and have dressed up pretty much every year I have gone to the con. I love it, it always falls on the Easter weekend when I have Good Friday off. I was going to go to Another Anime Con (really what it is called) in New Hampshire this year, but it fell on a weekend I couldn't get off from work, so I missed it.
ilu. :3 I was Riff Raff. Had to dress up for work. I felt so out of place, my coworkers were a box of crayons, a green crayon, a sun, a rainbow, and Clark Kent.
Just barked at the smoke detector. Save me. I'm scared.
I had to dress up for work today, so I went in as Riff Raff. I had a blast with it, and really played the part as best as I could. But I wish a fiery death on those that came up and asked me if I was Beetlejuice and if I'd say his lines.
Knowing my guy, he wouldn't strap the sensor to his chest at all, but his rear. Now that would wake me up for sure. "I love you.....BLARRRRRRRT"
