PLOT It was the year 2025 when the ones we called Keshins started mysteriously appearing here and there. We didn’t know what they were or why they came, all we knew was that they were vicious and evil. Whenever one would appear, they destroyed everything in their way; cities would be destroyed in mere seconds and we couldn’t do anything about it. We didn’t know how they would get here, they just somehow appeared. It wasn’t long after that they began to multiply in appearances. The government began to build a giant nuclear missile that they called H.O.P.E. and began to build underground shelters for us. They planned to launch the missile in hopes to “cleanse” the world of the Keshins. When the day came to launch the missile, everyone was crammed in the underground shelters and when the missile went off, it completely wiped the earth. However, even though everyone was safe from when the bomb went off, there was so much radiation that it began to reach into the shelters; people began to slowly die off. Eventually there were only a few thousand people left in the world (like around 800,000 people), but some ended up gaining special abilities after being exposed to the radiation. Sadly, we soon found out that the Keshins only kept coming after the wipeout. Soon after this, scientists began to create massively sized hybrid creatures they called Guardians. Only a select few people that had special abilities were able to connect with the Guardians through synchronization with their brains. Once synchronized with the Guardian, the person can fight alongside them during battles with enemies such as the Keshins; and also telepathically communicate with each other. However, due to the way the Guardians and people are synchronized with each other, if the Guardian died so did the other and vice versa. We soon found out that the Keshins began taking over our world while we hid in the shelters underground. Keshins came in all different shapes and sizes; some are giants the size of skyscrapers while others where the size of a small dog. Keshins usually had really thick skin or super hard scales used as armor; they even began developing defense mechanisms such as being able to spray acid, creating an electrical shockwave, etc. The people with Guardians were sent out to eliminate the Keshins on sight so we could take back our world. However, some people and their Guardians went rouge and began to start fights with other people and their Guardians. They say that they went rouge because they believed that they only reason that the Keshins would attack us is because WE were attacking THEM; and they thought that we could live alongside the Keshins. RULES - NO GODMODDING OR OVERPOWERING. SOME power play will be allowed but don’t go overboard. Don’t flame others and if there is a problem between two RPers, don’t come here with your drama. No one else wants to hear about it. - Please have a minimum of ONE PARAGRAPH each post and NO WALLS OF TEXT! Please divide it into PARAGRAPHS because walls of text are very hard to read. - You may have as many characters as you want but please make sure that you will be able to keep up with them. You can also kill off your character if you wish but DO NOT kill off another’s character without their permission. - SOME swearing will be allowed, don’t go overboard with it. Also, if you have some sort of romance between two characters, keep it to a minimal. - Blood and gore is defiantly welcome here! Just don’t make it too graphic. - Please don’t join if you do not have time to role play. If you don’t post after a week without telling us why, you will be booted from the RP. NOTES KESHINS Keshins are typically ranked between 1-5. 1: being the weakest and smallest and 5: being the strongest and the largest. Usually, they only have one kind of defense mechanism, and sometimes travel in groups of twos or fours. As stated before, they can have thick skin or hard scales used as armor. The thick skin and/or hard scales make it harder for their enemies to puncture them or even wound them. They can also have horns or claws to help them fight; some can even fly. Their defense mechanisms help them fight also, except they can only use it twice. Spoiler: KESHIN APPEARANCE EXAMPLES They pretty much kind of look like what you would see in that Pacific Rim movie but you can make your imagination go wild with em. GUARDIANS Guardians are too ranked between 1-5. 1: being the weakest and smallest and 5: being the strongest and the largest. They have the same ability as their masters but can use it to more of an extent (almost like a power booster) and they have more abilities that have to do with their master’s ability. Due to them being hybrids between different animals, some can even look like creatures from a fantasy world such as dragons. MASTERS The Masters are the ones who are synchronized with their Guardian and have special abilities. They only have one ability and it is usually something that has to do with things such as manipulating the elements of the earth: water, fire, air, the earth itself, light, shadows, gravity, etc. Some of them can wield weapons and channel their powers through it. They can telepathically communicate with their Guardian and fight alongside them. When she becomes angry she snaps easily and goes on killing sprees. When she does this, she blacks out and kills anyone around her, friend or foe. Power/Ability: Gravity: she can manipulate the gravity around her, making it lighter or heavier. Weapon: Spoiler Bio: Iris was abused as a child both emotionally and physically by both parents. They both told her she was worthless, unloveable, useless, and so on. One day her father tried to hurt her again and she finally got fed up with her parents. It was then when she first discovered and used her ability to manipulate gravity. She used it to make the gravity around her heavier over her parents until it eventually crushed and killed them both. Now, with this newfound power of hers, she fears nothing. She will freely kill anyone she feels is a threat or is simply a nuisance to her and she has gradually become more violent and angry throughout her life.

Valinton's eyes widened at the boy's reaction to the mere mentioning of R. He then chuckled at the boy's threat to punch him as he was pinned. Valinton only gave the boy a small smirk, "I don't know anything really..." He said as he quickly shoved his right hand onto the boy's chest and spoke some sort of an ancient language as he released Dark Spirit Pulse, knocking the boy back away from him, "He said not to get engaged in battle unless I really need to... But I think I can make an exception with you... Being trapped in the Dark Realm for a thousand years really gets to you... But now I'm curious... What would happen if one from the Light is trapped in the Dark Realm for a thousand years...?"
Xero stepped into the dark corridor soon after Gexln and came to Castle Oblivion. She remembered being there once before, and hated it. She cringed at the thought of her memories being screwed up again but then she saw R and a few others. Xero looked at the ground as she walked closer to the small group. She didn't know them and she wasn't sure if she should trust them or not. She then suddenly bumped into Gexln as he stopped and she just stood there with an awkward grin, "My bad.." When Gexln asked how it went back at Twilight Town, Xero perked up and was also a bit curious as to what happened, "You did get what you were there for, right?" She asked. The corner of Valinton's lip slightly twitched as he was beginning to get frustrated with the boy, "Fine, but let me at least ask you this..." He took a step forward to Caleb, "Does the name R mean anything to you?"
Xero looked back to the ocean not exactly expecting an answer from Gexln about something like that. She signed and then turned back around, "Well I guess we should probably head back and find R." She said as she took a few steps toward Gexln. Valinton just looked at the boy after he said there were others. Those "others" could possibly be linked to R some how and he needed to find him, "You." He said to the Caleb, "I can help you. With whatever you're looking for." He slightly raised a brow, "I know we just met, but I too am in a bit of a rush." This was half a lie. No he wasn't exactly in a hurry, but the sooner he found R the better.
Xero also reverted back to her original state and then looked at Gexln, "Now, whenever we are in our Anti Forms, we should be able to call out for a D-Link. And as long as we're in our Anti Forms, the D-Link will continue." She said. Xero then sighed, "But due to me not being able to stay in the Anti Form very long, we will only be able to stay in a D-Link for so long. The time is always different, so we should always make every second count while in a D-Link. I'm not exactly sure what our abilities are as Anti Form D-Links to be honest..." Xero then walked over to the shore of the Dark Realm and watched the water. She then stared at the moon as it shined down onto the shimmering water. Xero smiled to herself a bit as she realized how pretty it really was," You know, this place is actually quite peaceful.. and pretty too." She turned her head to look at Gexln, "What do you think?"
Xero looked at Anti-Gexln with a mischievous grin, "I like the way you think. I suppose it could work." She too then allowed herself into the anti form, "We should make this quick, I'm not sure how long I can retain this form without getting weaker." She said. Xero then held out her hand to Gexln, palm facing forward. A small aura of darkness glowed on her hand as she was casting the D-Link spell, "Put your hand on mine and the D-Link should activate." Valinton looked around the plaza and saw that no one was around. He sighed a bit and then thought that there might be something interesting at the mansion. He opened a dark corridor and walked through and ended up in the same room as Caleb and Louvel. He looked up a bit wide eyed not expecting to accidentally run into people, "I seem to have stumbled into the wrong area..." He said as he closed the corridor.
"A D-Link is a Dimensional Link that allows two people that have forged some kind of bond to use each other's abilities. I've never tried it before because I've never really 'bonded' with anyone, but I think we have enough of a bond to be able to use it." Xero said as she put her finger to her lips as she thought, "The only thing missing is some kind of item with the D-Link spell casted on it... If the people that share the bond have one, they can use the D-Link."
Xero looked at the rock and took in the darkness around her, forming a black ball of fire in front of her. She kept letting it get bigger and then once it was about the size of a large ball, she launched it and hit the rock; leaving a scorched spot on the side of the rock. Xero smiled as she saw the spell hit successfully and turned back to Gexln, "Well that seemed a lot easier to do. How about something a little harder? Like..." Xero thought for a moment and then remembered hearing something about what was called a D-Link, "Have you ever heard of a D-Link?" She asked. Valinton turned and opened a dark corridor and walked through without saying anything else. The corridor lead to Twilight Town's train station. He looked around a bit and saw the sun set. He hadn't seen the sun for 1000 years and he basked in the warmth of the sunlight, "I had almost forgotten what the sun looked like..."
Xero just looked at Gexln as he allowed his darkness to flow into her. When he explained what he did and what it would do she looked down a bit and then looked back up at Gexln as he stood up and asked her if she wanted to continue or return to R. She gave him a determined look, "I want to try one more time." Xero stood up and did the same thing she did earlier. The darkness became a visible aura around her and she focused on the darkness around her as well. She felt relieved that Ansem wasn't attempting anything so far, and she opened her eyes and asked Gexln, "What do I do now?" Valinton nodded to Xindai and asked, "And if I find this 'R', do I kill him, or leave him? I have a feeling you need him for something so I'm assuming you want me to some how bring him here..."
Xero inhaled deeply and could feel the darkness around her begin to turn into energy. Suddenly she felt her concentration slipping when she felt something trying to emerge. The aura around her began to become wavy and not as calm as it was before. She struggled for a few moments as she felt it trying to take more of the darkness. "Ugh!" Xero then quickly let her concentration go and same with the darkness. The aura quickly faded away and Xero held her head feeling woozy, "Figures.. I knew he would try and take the darkness again.." Xero clenched her fist in frustration, "I don't know how I can do this with him still inside me.. he only takes the darkness I have and uses it to fuel his next possession. The more of it I use the quicker it happens.." "Other worlds.."Valinton just stared at Xindai for a moment and thought about his offer, "Fine." He simply said, "But don't expect me to go anywhere near the Dark Relm, let alone go back to it." He said stirnly, "Now teach me how to get to these other worlds."
"Wow.. you must've had it rough.." Xero said as she just looked at the ground. She then looked back up at Gexln as he began telling her what to do. Xero then gave him a single nod and then closed her eyes to focus. She felt the dark energy being released slowly around her, slowly becoming a stronger aura. Valinton simply raised a brow not exactly showing any other facial expression but that, "People? You mean there's others still here? That's impossible."
Xero frowned at Gexln from his comments that he had made but then looked at him with a smirk, "You're not such a bad guy after all Gexln.." she said as she stood up and dusted herself off. She looked back up at Gexln and gave him a small smile, "But you can be an ass sometimes." She said in a bit of a joking way, "But, yeah.. I think you should teach me now."
Xero smiled with a small laugh and then stopped.as.Gexln handed her his weapon and told her to sharpen it. She just stared at it for a moment and looked at Gexln questioningly as she took the hilt, "Okay?" She said. She walked over to the rocks and sat down as she picked up one of the smaller rocks. She rubbed the side of the rock on the edge of the blade, "So.." she paused as she thought of the question she was about to ask, "Why am I doing this exactly?" Valinton closed his eyes for a moment, "I can see that this world has been destroyed.." he opened his eyes and exhaled as he did and looked at his right hand that wasn't the hand of a normal being, "I find it funny how the darkness works." He said, "Something that can be used for power can also be used for destruction." He took a step forward, "What do we do now? Everything is gone."
Xero gave Gexln a small smile, "I guess the Nobody of the Dark has a bit of a soft spot, huh?" She then put her hands on her hips, "Well then let's get started! Tell me what I need to do."
"That'd be helpful I suppose..." Xero looked at Gexln for a moment and then remembered when he extracted the darkness from her and almost killing her in the process. But she couldn't help but wonder... why did he stop? Why didn't he just kill her right then and there? "Gexln... back there, when you were taking the darkness away from me... why didn't you just kill me then? Why even let me live?"
