Ok that's cool in my book, though I wouldn't post this on gfx forums, even if you proved that it wasn't a rip, they would still try to pin you with an idea rip... It is still nice and shows us that you have skill.
uuuuh, yeah thats the LP, don't tell me you used the LP as a stock as I assumed in the beginning...
Add a little flower bush in front of the stock, bellow the text, so it seems like the stock is leaning or rather sinking in the flowers, make the text darker and remove that awful line. Also mess with the colors a bit, actually you wouldn't mind sending me the .psd and letting me try something with it would ya? I think a couple of brushes would give it a much better feel.
I have to agree with Darwatch and Cin. Filters should only be used at the start of the tag for a nice background (exception and blur, sharpen, noise and special filters), unless you really know how to work with them.
Reminds me on a great LP... which is a good thing lol The text is nice, but it makes the tag look too cluttered. I think you should remove it and add low opacity stars or a kickass background, depending on how much you can change the current result. Pretty nice job.

If you mean the dots, yeah thats modified text and the duplicated orange and purple text is Aerial font (not Arial), Thanks for the comments, I appreciate it. Chervalier I have to disagree with you on this matter, giving a high contrast and color difference between the stock and the rest of the effects and bg in a tag I think you get good dynamics and nice eye-candy. Don't think I am attacking you with this, I am just expressing my opinion on the subject.

I am not in the mood for for giving a long lecture, so I'll be short. Lightsource needs to be upped, tag is too sharp, it needs toning down and the right side needs blurring. It needs a stable shape in the background, I suggest adding 2 "+" different size and color (1 light gray, other dark) in the left near the stocks shoulder or add a vertical and diagonal line of the same color wherever you see fit. Also this is the best tag I have seen on this site, but then again I just joined recently. Nice job.
Do not do this, EVER! Making stuff blend in won't make the tag look good, good composition and color choice will. And don't make the text the focal point and give it more importance then the stock, text should be used as a decoration, nothing more, especially not a way of giving a message, if you want to tell something to the viewer use other forms of art (and I am using the word art rather loosely here) to express yourself.

Holy sh*t 2nd kills my eyes, them filters should be BURNED 1st and 3rd are pretty good for experiments, would prefer if the yellow spot in the 1st one was a differ color, but oh well... also stock looks LQ in 3rd, but I am guessing thats from the blurring.
1. Darkwatch - lol lazorz 2. Ryuuga - nice space-ish feel, not to fond of the scanlines and square texture 3. Megaman X - I like the overall flow and the center effect being the lightsource, not too fond of the borders and scanlines (again lol)

Get GIMP if you want to make tags and don't want to bother buying Photoshop. Just google it, because gimp costs nothing 8D
