This looks exciting! Hopefully it will be good and remain true to the original. But does the huge architectural shift bother anyone else? I mean it's supposed to be set like 70 years after the original, yet in the original the buildings seemed like ancient style, and these just seem completely modern. It's like the did 1000 years worth of advancement in under a century

I really enjoyed it but yeah I do see your point about it being insanely hyped up. I think that's just mainly because it flung Studio Ghibli more into the western spotlight. No cinemas near me would have even touched a film like that before Spirited away won that Oscar.

Also on another note, I recently got Arrietty on DVD. It was good but the dubbing was strange, apparently they have a US dub and a UK dub, and the UK dub isn't spectacular in my opinion, and the the story was a little bit meandering I suppose. It set up a lot of loose ends that it didn't tie off. The animation is just insanely stunning though, as always.

I suppose this should be exciting, but I haven't received enough rep to not be able to see the previous ones. Yeah I've had less than 15 lots of rep in the time I've been here :P

Yeah they might consider it seeing how fast everything went. No doubt they could fill the hall again over with the amount that didn't get in, and make an absolute fortune. Already there's tickets going on eBay for £100, apparently some guy whose 'friends let him down'. I don't believe it for a second haha :) Gutted because this is the 25th anniversary as well, I bet they will do something special. When it gets to it you must let me know every detail. Set list, videos played, any amazing cosplayers, everything. I got a picture with a guy last year dressed up in a perfect Zack costume hahah

*sigh* I missed out too. VIP tickets still available but that's £135 I don't have to spend. Hope you have fun there. I should have been prepared for how quickly they were going to sell out, especially considering how many people missed out last year, no wonder everyone would be ready at 9 AM sharp. I can understand that. But at least it's better than having studied everything really hard for an exam, only to find you don't recognise anything on the paper. Anyway, it's a credit to your intelligence and studiousness if you passed full marks! Someone who hadn't bothered to look at the past papers would have no doubt struggled more.

I hope you got a shiny sticker of some zany, tooth themed cartoon character saying the same thing. Dentist isn't worth it otherwise.

On another note we had a McDonalds right next to our dentist. As kids that was the only hope we ever had of having a happy meal, healthy teeth.

Aw it would be a shame if you couldn't go. Do you have any siblings or local friends you could go down with? Or maybe someone on here who's going? And yes 'Someday' would be incredible, I'd love to hear that full orchestra.

But yeah I'd love Yuna's theme from X in there. Vincent's theme or Cid's theme from VII I'd love as well, but I'm not sure if either are long enough or popular enough to warrant a full orchestral arrangement. And of course all the old classics. When the whole hall was quiet and the harp played the start of the prelude it was just magic. I think I'd love more stuff from FF1 as well, I mean they had the medley but nothing from it on it's own. Maybe a whole medley from 1 instead of a 1-3 medley so they could fit more in, like the underwater temple theme.
