"If there were something to tell you Jack, to be truthful I would not without consulting Evanora and the others first. It is our responsibility to look after this guild, not yours or any of the other new members. That falls to us, and us exclusively." Caliborn replied. While he respected Jack's enthusiasm, he could do with a little bit of improvement on the listening department. He would not stop asking about the spy issue, even though he had thought he had made it perfectly clear that it was not his problem and that he would handle it personally if there was such an issue. In any case, hopefully that would be the last he heard of that little issue. The next question was better, but it was a rather personal issue and it involved another member of the Guild. He was not inclined to say who. "Probably the biggest mistake I've made, and it is why I am far more diplomatic now, is that at one point early in my days here, I said something to a fellow Guild member. What I said proved to be very hurtful which I hadn't realised at the time, but it caused them a great deal of harm. I was able to reconcile it, but it was a mistake on my part. From that I learned to mind my words and be considerate. After all, a misplaced word may cause more damage than you might expect." She still hasn't changed from back then. I wonder what it will take to get you to calm down and perhaps settle down, Mikasa? His mind drifted for a moment as he considered what must have happened in order for Mikasa to become such a broken person. He was one of her only friends, he knew that, but it was true. She was broken, and somehow she needed to be fixed. He had tried. But it seemed that there was no way of doing it.
Storytime: "Stand aside cur! This is not your business! Take your ridiculous ideals of heroism and saving the damsel in distress and flee! They are mere stories! There is no happy end here! Run, and perhaps I shall spare your life when I have finished with this girl!" Meanwhile in the real world where Vance isn't so much of a terrible human being. It would normally have been difficult to find someone within a town like this, however, fate was on his side. It was made really quite easy when he heard an explosion in the distance and smoke rising into the air. There could only be one cause, given the circumstances, and that was Thea. Vance raced for the source of the smoke, clutching his chest as the exertion began to take its toll. Such was the urgency with which he ran to his daughter's side. He found her in the grass not far from the burning barn or at least, what was left of it. He couldn't help but sigh- She really was volatile. She'd need to learn to control her emotions somehow, because it really was getting out of hand. Honestly, if she hadn't made it out here in time, she'd have probably set the whole damn city on fire and that would have been a massive problem. Vance approached and knelt down, putting his hand on her back. "Thea, I'm here. You can relax now, its fine." Vance reassured. "We have settled our differences, so everything is okay." "I guess they're not coming out? Maybe its broken? Where did you get it from? Was it damaged?" She asked, looking at it with a puzzled expression. It looked fine to her but, who could tell?
Apologies for bad posts but I've got to make them quick. "Very well Conrad, we shall talk later." He turned to Damian. "Apologies for shouting, my surprise and emotions got the better of me. It was a mistake." He then looked at Tessa. "Next time, I suggest you think before acting. As you can see, it does not always end well." Vance continued. "Now I had best find my daughter before she burns down an innocent barn or house somewhere." Then Vance left to find Thea. Somewhere. Meanwhile, in another time, when he was forcibly pushed into acting into a flapping pink mess' strange play. "Nay! For you should be proud that you are worthy of mine eyes! Consider yourself fortunate and submit!" He declared, then began scowling. "Such a dishonourable man. He should woo her truly! Or not take her at all. Alas, people such as Braxton are scum. But I shall play, for the sake of the entertainment of the masses." Dale continued to look angsty and said angsty things to Mikasa if she said anything. "Jack do you not need to help with anything because there is nothing to help with. The situation is under control and there is nobody spying on the Guild." Caliborn said. "It is likely that this 'Kage' tried to assign some value to himself by claiming that there were spies. He would have wanted to keep himself alive and get off lighter by providing information about the spies. Trust me, it's not as bad as you seem to think it is." "The one to ask about leadership is Evanora, after all, she leads us all. Do I make mistakes? Sometimes. It is impossible not to make a mistake somewhere down the line. That is the way of life Jack. But, a leader must always be sure in what they are doing and that I am." He neglected to mention that a leader did not per say need to be certain, but give the appearance of certainty. If Jack wanted to lead, that would come in time. "I am glad that I can help and I am willing to help at any time. Such is the responsibility of the S-Class."
Vance stood up and watched Conrad staggering. For once, Vance did not say anything, but instead listened exactly to what Conrad had to say. And when he had taken it all in, Vance nodded and his eyes flicked over to Tessa. "I will listen to him. Now if you'll excuse me, I should find this man a healer after that little stunt. A proper one that is." Vance spoke, approaching Conrad and slinging the other man's arm around his shoulder. He was a little heavy for the nobleman, given that he was somewhat a stranger to physical exertion. With his free arm, Vance put a hand on his chest and cast Cure in an attempt to stifle some of the injury. He owed Conrad that much at least. And, he did speak a certain truth. He did need to put an example. When a man was injured, certainly after helping you and because of it, one should get him help as soon as possible. He considered Conrad's actions here. Perhaps he did have some intentions of helping, but he would have to ask to confirm and he would certainly ask for it. Of course, it he was savvy then he would make a demand. That, Vance decided, he would not accept. "I'm afraid that I cannot answer the question of whether Ren left or not. If he isn't here then it would seem to suggest... I suppose he has. If as you say, neither he or his things are here then he has well and truly gone. Why, I could not say." Caliborn answered. He questioned the possibility of spies within the Guild. He doubted it, given the temperament but they did know about Ren for a reason. He did wonder, for a moment, whether Jack was right. The man raised a point, something that he would look into personally and quietly. If it was true, then the less Jack knew about his activities in checking the better. As functional second in command of the Guild, it was his responsibility to look after it. "Relax, Jack. They won't find it here. We'll make sure of it. It is safe here. I know all the old members here personally and I'm starting to get an idea of the newer members among us now. I have confidence that there are no spies here. Calm yourself. We've been doing this a while. We have this situation under control."
Caliborn nodded at Jack and leaned the Oracle staff against a nearby table. "When you want to address it, speak directly to the Oracle. It'll know." Caliborn instructed, then walked away from the staff to a table a few spots away. He sat down on a nearby chair and motioned for Jack to sit opposite. "What brings you to me today Jack?" Alessia took a seat next to Zephyr and listened to him talk. She hadn't heard of the Celestial Spirit Keys before, but it sounded like a pretty powerful kind of magic. Surely there could only be a limited amount of those keys? That would mean that they were probably very powerful, considering that there could only be one for each spirit probably. If there were more, it would be a problem if two people tried to summon the spirit at the same time. "Do you want to become a Celestial Spirit Wizard Zephyr?" Alessia asked, curiously. She took him for a fighter, so it would be a pretty big change for him to become a master of these Celestial Spirit things. "Do you reckon you could show me the spirit? Is that too much energy though? I guess it can't be easy summoning one of those things." Vance stared impassively at her, at least for a moment. He could see the anger behind her eyes, but when that overtook her and he saw her moving, he knew immediately that he had struck a nerve. Whatever it was he had said, it had royally pissed her off and now she was going to attack. Vance raised his arms to try and defend himself from an attack, but he knew it wouldn't help much. After all, it was a magical attack. In his peripheral vision he saw Conrad rushing towards him. "And you, Conrad?" Vance spoke, knowing that he was in for a world of pain. It was not was he was expecting however. Vance toppled to the ground with the grace of a flying brick, landing with a loud thump on the floor and banging his head on a nearby bed. Upon hindsight, it could have been worse, given that he saw the storm of magic heading straight for Conrad. "You utterly insane fool..." Perhaps this man isn't necessarily my enemy after all. That meant one thing. If Conrad got hurt by this woman, then he was compelled to retaliate in kind. After all, that was what allies did.
Vance gritted his teeth as Thea fled the room. Nobody upsets my daughter and gets away with it! I'd best make this worth it, and give this impudent whelp a lesson. And, as for that strange man in my bed, he doesn't matter that much. Better that he's gone/ "Believe me woman I have my good parts. Unfortunately, neither you or Conrad here are particularly inspiring me." Vance corrected sharply. Conrad piped in, highlighting his birth. "That, is what sets me apart from other people. That is not what makes me better. What makes me better is what I stand for. I stand for reason and I suppose I would consider it fairness. So long as one earns one's keep in society to the best degree I have no issue with them. Now, for you Conrad, you are correct. I listen to those of higher authority because that is what is expected of me. And it is what is expected of everyone. We nobles, Conrad, for he is too if you hadn't already realised little girl, have a responsibility to set an example. I do not tolerate being insulted and having false allegations raised against me, and I certainly do not tolerate being judged by a self-righteous hussy like yourself when two individuals are trying to discuss their personal business!" Vance glared at Tessa. He felt the wind dancing between her fingers, but he wasn't in the slightest intimidated. "Now then, be gone! Or kindly be silent like any decent person and allow two gentlemen to resolve their business! Because of you and your irritating interference, my daughter is most distressed and I will have to deal with that lest she loses control of her powers yet again! My quarrel is not with you- Do not make it such." Vance threatened, his eyes locking with Tessa's. The look almost dared her to try something. "Thank you. It looks like I owe you guys. Again." Dale breathed a sigh of relief. "Ra, try to be less up your own ass from now on please. It makes it much easier to listen to you." He added that as a side note, voicing what he felt was probably the opinion of a few people. The way he spoke was irritating, self-righteous. Finally, Dale turned to face Gexln. He did ask a very good question. "I hoped that it would be Trevor or Mikasa. They and Boreal did something very hurtful, and frankly I hated them for it. I still do for that matter. Now Mikasa is taking things too far. She was bad enough before, now..." Dale's voice trailed off, but the furious glare on his face finished off the sentence. "Let's go, before Mikasa does something that I'll kill her for." With that, Dale turned around and ran for the Guild Hall at full pelt.
"It is precisely your agenda that I am here to speak about. For instance, when did you intend to- WHAT THE DEVIL ARE YOU DOING HERE?" Vance leapt up from his bed and looked at the man who seemed until that point happily tucked into his bed! The peasant! The nerve! How dare he? "You make such insinuations about me? I certainly did not sleep with you sir, in fact I have not yet been to bed! Speak your name at once cur! Honestly, drunkards like you are lacking in decency!" Vance sniffed, smelling the alcohol on Damian's breath. "Begone! I have business with Conrad and we cannot resolve our issues while you are busy making lewd suggestions and spreading the stench of that foul substance you consumed! Out at once!" He continued, gesturing wildly at the door. He would have provided encouragement in the form of a slap, but that would involve him touching the slob and he had no intention of dirtying himself with this man. Upon later reflection, it occurred to him that he had not quite rid himself of his particularities in judgements and some of the extremities of his words.
Vance spends 1 point in Erza magic. Buying a Mage Earring and Gaia Bangle. - 1020 Jewels. Equipping Aerora, Thundaga, Binding Strike and Stop. Selling Mage's staff (+75) and purchasing Improved Mage's Staff (-300). Net Jewels remaining, 35.
"I see." Vance spoke. It seemed that the woman thought him a little intimidating. That might be beneficial to him actually. He began to walk towards the door, recalling that this was in fact his dorm, although he rarely slept in it. It would provide the perfect excuse to get past this woman who apparently had business with the man as well. Also, he hadn't missed the strange glance she had given Thea, which made him wonder a little. "Thea, I am going to enter my dormitory. Feel free to come with me, or talk to the young lady. I don't mind which." With that, Vance strode towards Tessa, past her and pushed open the door. He observed Conrad, laying down in bed sleeping as the woman identified. He approached to wake the man, and then noticed something: Conrad was not breathing. Vance crossed the room with long strides, frowning. He shook Conrad roughly to try and wake him and test if he would awake. His breathing resumed afterwards, puzzling Vance further. Perhaps he had some sort of medical impairment? It was a wonder it hadn't spelled the end of him. Vance backed up and sat on his bed, looking at Conrad. "Awake, son of the Eisenstein. We need to talk." Vance spoke, staring intently at him. Alessia watched Tessa leave with an expression of surprise and confusion. She blinked, shrugged and gave up trying to corral the birds. Johanna could deal with it later. Since Tessa had so rudely abandoned her, and so quickly, she left the dorm and made her way back downstairs for lack of anything else to do. She looked around for a minute or so, trying to find Zephyr. She did eventually spot him, sitting down and fiddling with some key.As she approached, she thought it was something pretty important. "What's that Zephyr?" Alessia asked, taking a seat next to him.
"Me and Taylor dispatched one of the beasts by ourselves. Nor did it hurt us overly much. Between you and I, I think that we shall be just fine Thea. Trust me." Vance looked down at the little girl whose hand he held and smiled. It was strange for him in a way. There was nobody, nothing else in the world that gave him the same warm feeling that this girl did. He supposed this was what it meant to be a parent. The nobleman knew the dangers of the Emerald Witch, but knew that he could not afford to question himself or his abilities. In doubt, lay failure, and if he failed then the heart of this little girl would break irrevocably. When he accepted her as a daughter in a heat of the moment decision, it was essentially a promise that he would protect her and make her happy. He would protect her young heart from breaking any further than it already had. She didn't need to lose one more parent in her life. Therefore, he would need to talk to this Conrad. As much as it irritated him to have to resort to asking a political opponent for assistance, he was lacking in choice in allies right now. Conrad was the only one in this guild who potentially had a hope of comprehending the nature of things. Ironic really, considering that the man he had initially pinned as to be ignored appeared to be the one who he was seeking out. Perhaps, it occurred to him, he had judged too soon. Shani had showed him that it was not necessarily right to judge people like he had been. The more he thought about it, the more he felt that his judgements were simply him making excuses to allow him to accept what he was doing. Vance Dorian was changing, and his father would have hated every inch of it. But that didn't matter to him in the slightest. Equally, that didn't meant that he wasn't going to be harsh on Conrad for abandoning him. They had no reason to be friends per say, but surely there was the idea of decency. Would Conrad have even bothered to warn him? That question alone was worth the encounter. Vance entered the guild hall, Upon an initial scan, there was no sign of Conrad. His logical processes indicated the man's room as the most logical place to go. Vance strode through the dormitories to where he believed that Conrad's room was. However, he found the door slightly ajar and a woman standing outside. She seemed anxious about something. What is that man doing with an anxious woman outside his room? Vance cleared his throat. "What are you doing here? And do you happen to know the location of Conrad Heinrich Adelbrecht Carsten von Eisenstein the Second?" Vance asked, looking at the woman suspiciously.
Dale turned around to look at the others after Mikasa flew off. He growled in irritation as she flew off and he whipped around to face the others. "Look, I have no intention of fighting you. Don't try and stop me. If you're looking for some stuff about dragons, then it's a lie. A woman called Daphne is trying to create a fake dragon and she needs an S-Class. She was trying to set you up for a trap. In any case, she can't do anything without you guys here. I'll report her to the Magic Council later and we'll deal with it but right now, I need your help to stop Mikasa!" Dale explained. He looked at Gexln, and then each and every person present with a hint of desperation in his eyes. "Please, she's going to kill Johanna, or something. Something bad is going to happen and I can't beat her alone. I drove her off now because I took her by surprise, even I know that. Please, please say you'll help me. We have to stop her..." Dale's fists clenched harder and he looked at each of them, not bothering to disguise the worry he was feeling. I can't, no, won't let anything happen to Johanna. I'll get over there and kill her myself before she can hurt her! I swear Johanna, I swear I'll save you from her! I'll kill her if she even tries! Vance immediately took the distressed Thea into his arms and stroked her hair, shushing her softly. He looked down at her and into her eyes. "Thea, worry not. I have run this witch off before and I shall do so again. And I think that I shall speak to Conrad as well. This will be fine, I promise you that my daughter." He gave her a smile. "Besides, you're a powerful Wizard in that of yourself. Between the two of us, I think that we'll see the Emerald Witch off." His face settled into a discontented frown and he looked at Florica again. "Thank you for the warning Florica. Given that you and Shani have done me a favour, let me know if there is anything you need. I shall be happy to provide assistance in return for your warning." Vance spoke before taking Thea's hand and heading for the door. "Thea, we are returning to the Guild. If I can find him, it is time me and Conrad had a chat about things..." Vance started to lead his daughter back to the guild hall, a confrontation in mind.
Boreal stretced himself out gladly once he was released. His magical energy had recharged and she said that she'd be back home in a few hours. That gave the plan plenty of time to play out. He looked around at the room and finally at Johanna. She was trying to be brave, he could see that and there was something oddly beautiful about the tears. It was a rather morbid observation he thought. He walked over and knelt down in front of her. "Well, it is a pleasure to meet you as well." Boreal narrowed his eyes at the mention of Dale. "I'm not sure what my brother said about me, but I doubt it was positive." He wiped a tear off her face and brushed it off on his coat. I really, really need to get this outfit cleaned now, it's getting ridiculous. And they need to clean Mikasa's misery tower. He stood up and looked down at her with his hands on his hips. "It seems introductions are not necessary. Why is Mikasa doing this? Because she's crazy, vindictive and more than a little mentally imbalanced. She'd have been easy to manipulate once but at this point, she's too far gone to be convinced by anything other than bloodshed. And she's letting me free, so what do I care?" Boreal spoke, and then his voice became a whisper. "I don't plan on killing you. I will "attack' you. Please make it sound convincing to put on a show." He raised his arm and released some of his mana. "Ice-make whip!" Boreal declared and slammed the weapon in to the wall next to her. Now she just had to do her part. "I don't need your help! Dale is mine to deal with!" Hopefully she would figure out that this was all part of the show. "I see, so that green woman appears to want my blood. I wonder what I did to irritate her? It seemed that she cursed my fortunes in the contest during which I met her. And now she seeks to kill me? Interesting. I thank you for informing me, though I had to chase you up to get the information. And, I suppose that would aptly explain Conrad's avoidance of me." He narrowed his eyes at Florica. "Tell me, what more do you know of this emerald witch and her intentions towards me? Will my daughter be safe?"
Boreal narrowed his eyes at Mikasa's suggestion. It seemed that she held Johanna, the object of Dale's desires. She wasn't bad looking. Dale had good taste in women. That was probably the most he'd ever give him. However, the opportunity was too good to pass up. And it was a perfect way for him to get out of this rather awkward situation that he had managed to get himself in. It was made even more entertaining by the battered look of the woman. Perhaps my brother did have some fight in him. By the sounds of it, he's not dead either. How twisted is this woman though? It's quite impressive. "Very well, Mikasa. I can be complicit in this. Of course, I'll need you to let me out immediately." Boreal replied. "Don't kill her, or knock her out. She's better off conscious. Give her a small wound then collect the blood. The rest you can leave to me." Boreal put on his most assuring voice, eyeing Johanna. He looked over and winked at Mikasa, giving her his most winning smile. Now then, looks like I have a free pass out of this whole situation.
Dale's bloody boiled at her words. His face, once cocky turned into a vicious, vengeful snarl. There was no room for confidence now, it was just overwhelming anger. Mikasa. Had. To. Die. He'd be doing everyone a favour at this point. "You, Mikasa, are a hateful woman." Dale spat. He tightened his fists around the twin blades that he held. "I should kill you right now and save everyone the trouble of having to deal with your miserable existence!" Dale fired the five blades above his head at her and even as the first fired, he formed another five and fired them at her. Mikasa, I will save Johanna from you. I will not let you kill her! I will not let her die by your hands! "Just because you have no dreams doesn't mean that I'll allow you to crush mine! DIE MIKASA! DIE! DIE! DIE! DIE!" Dale ranted as he conjured another five ice blades and fired them at Mikasa. He would make as many as he needed to, to spear her limbs and rend her flesh until she lay bleeding on the ground, her life a waste. She didn't deserve to live with such threats, such disregard for everyone else. He would not let her kill Johanna. He would take this to Evanora if he failed here. He didn't care if he had to go to jail, so long as someone put the witch down as she was a menace to everyone that had a point to their lives.
Dale grinned when Mikasa pinned him, as furious as he was with the threat against Johanna. "Mistake." The icy swords he had suspended in the air fired off at the S-Class wizard and drove her back while he got to his feet. He glared at the woman. In his chest, he felt a pang of nervousness, knowing exactly who he was up against but there was no backing down now. In fact, he had just noticed her weakness. She didn't pay attention, she was running on raw emotion like he was. The difference was, he knew he had to fight smart. All she knew was brute force and ignorance. Funny that. It suited her perfectly. "Don't you even try it Mikasa, otherwise I might have to knock the pride of the witch of Sapphire Eclipse down a few notches. Besides, you get Johanna and you think that Caliborn is going to love you? Get real. He won't ever appreciate a monster like you. I guess we'll both lose our loves then, won't we? The only difference is, you do that and you'll lose your life too!" He conjured another five swords and clad himself in his icy armour. He looked her in the eyes with a fire burning behind them. "Shame your speciality isn't cutting ice. Otherwise you might have had a chance." Dale taunted.
"I just don't understand, why would they do that to me? What was the point? And you know... They knew exactly what they were doing. Fucking Trevor. I've never wanted to murder somebody like this, not even Boreal. Boreal I expected to be a twat but I thought that one of my Guildmates would do better! Why did Evanora even let him in?" Dale ranted, pacing around the room, hands in his pockets when he wasn't gesturing wildly. Hours later, the depression had turned to fury and he was out for blood. Trevor's blood. As he ranted and raved, he failed to notice the bird of Johanna at the window until much, much too late. By the time he noticed and went to the window, a spark of hope in his eyes, she had gone. He clenched his fists. That bird was her. I know it. I've seen it, I know it, I know it, I know it! Damn that Trevor! He drove me away and now Johanna needs me to keep that fucking pevert away from her! He turned to Daphne. "Listen, I've got to go. There's something at the Guild that I need to do. I need to talk to someone." Dale ran out the room in a hurry, rushing down the stairs and out the front door, almost running right into Mikasa flying on her manoeuvre gear. "YOU! Ice-make blades!" Dale bellowed, forming a pair of swords into his hands and another five floating in the air above him. He sent one shooting at Mikasa's hooks, severing one instantly. "What the hell are you doing here bitch? Come to torment me more?" Dale demanded, pointing one sword at her. "Come try it. I dare you. My brother unintentionally taught me a few tricks and I don't plan to spare you." "Hey Tessa, are you alright?" She asked, ignoring Jack's nonsensical compliments. "Thank you Jack." She replied only vaguely, not paying that much attention to him and instead being more concerned about the woman in front of her. She took Tessa's hand and looked her in the eyes. "Come on, with me. Come to my room it's much quieter there. You can get away for a bit. Zephyr, I'll talk to you later okay?" Alessia spoke quickly and started pulling Tessaover to the girls' dormitories and her room. That's when she noticed all the birds. Johanna, you let the birds out. Why? Why now of all times? "Oh goodness, Tessa I'm sorry. Johanna doesn't usually let these things out. I've never seen this before. She might have one or two out but all of them?" Alessia spotted some of Johanna's bird feed and held it in her hand near the cages. "Come on nice birds, please go into the cage. This lady needs some peace so can you maybe sing? Or can you go into the cages so we can talk in peace? Please?"
Vance Dorian signs up to become Braxton Prendergast, the grand antagonist!
Alessia thought about that for a moment. Did she have any way she could help? "Well, I know a little wind magic. I think most people do here to be honest. Not much though." To demonstrate, Alessia performed a weak Aero on a nearby seat pushing it across the hall a short ways before it fell over. "That's a basic Aero spell that a lot of people know. It's got enough force to shove someone over but that's about it. I guess if you wanted to try and learn to control something, you could... I don't know. Like, maybe... Maybe practice with the chair? Try throwing it certain distances by using a certain amount of magic energy? More power, more distance. if you get it...? You know, never mind, I'm not a very good wizard to be honest. I'm more of an up close and personal person." She tapped on the sword strapped to her back. "The most impressive things I can do are create an impenetrable shield for a short time and create a flame wall around me when I charge in. I'm a bit of a combat focused wizard. More hitting things with magic to help than shooting fireballs and ****. The reason I even know a bit of wind magic is so I can shove people over so the getting close is easier." "Good day to all of you present, we have returned!" Caliborn declared as they walked into the hall. The sight of the large golem bouncing excitedly into the hall was quite something. There's something about that. It just doesn't seem real. The miracles of Sapphire Eclipse everyone. He cleared his throat as if to announce something and raised the Oracle Staff. "This everyone who is interested, is an Oracle. You may ask it one question and it shall answer. And don't ask how it works. That does count as a question."
I'm down with that. Even if it is set in the same world it's fine by me. Sign me up!
Caliborn watched Malkira handle the situation. Expertly done. Truthfully, he couldn't have done it better himself. "Well done everyone, I'm proud of the way all of you have handled this." Caliborn spoke. He took a pouch and took the Hand of Midas away from Balthazar, who he nodded at. "Yes, we will keep this safe. Although I suspect you'll find that it won't be used at all." The pouch turned into a gold material, that still moved like cloth somehow. Magic, strange old thing. Given that, he was surprised that X was turned to solid gold. The Hand sure had some interesting rules. He looked around at the group. Their work here was done as far as he could see and everyone had comported themselves well on the mission. He was pleased by the display of camaraderie from Malkira and Calxiyn. It seemed that teamwork was certainly alive and well in Sapphire Eclipse. Evanora, he knew, would be pleased. "Very well, I believe our business here is concluded. Shall we make our way back? Wait- One more thing." Caliborn disappeared for a moment and returned with the Oracle Staff. "Now, I believe we are ready to leave." Alessia stood there watching people talk and didn't say anything because she had no idea what to say. So basically, she just stands there not doing a lot. "Very well, if you'll indulge me a couple of minutes I must have a word with somebody I met. Then we can return to the Guild Hall. I have business with a certain individual who behaved most strangely to me." Vance said, before walking over to Florica. You. While Shani and I were speaking you said something to Conrad. Or at least, something happened which led to him suddenly avoiding me. I have to wonder, what is it that caused such behaviour from him? He swiftly approached, back straight and held up to his full height. He held his hands behind his back when he reached her and looked at her straight in the eyes. "Did you perchance to say anything about me to Conrad? He and I don't get along especially well it has to be said, but he certainly does not walk away from company at the very sight of me I can tell you that much. So, what happened exactly? It had to have happened while Shani and I were speaking downstairs and I know you pulled him aside to talk about something. Care to explain? After all, it does very much hamper any future teamwork we may have to do in the Guild in the future. Fate has an odd habit of putting us in the same place."
