He looked over at her and smiled warmly. "Ready, my dear?" He took the cigarette holder out of his pocket, fake cigarette and all. He then produces another one. "In case you forgot yours. We both picked characters that have a bad habit and delusions of aristocracy." Chuckles slightly.
Moves forward in line. He feels movement about his backside. Is she...?! He glances back and sees she's holding the tail of his costume off the ground. Nice of her he thought warmly, though he was slightly ashamed at the twinge of disappointment he felt that her motives weren't what he had originally thought.
Jack was reveling at this feeling of closeness that had eluded him for so long. But he was also thinking how Gharanth was probably not thinking the same way. Still...she hadn't protested when he put his arm around her, but...Jack hated the male mind, but at least he knew it. The female mind, to him, was still much of a mystery. He was so lost in his thoughts that he failed to notice that the line had moved up considerably.
"Really, I'm sorry. I actually find it rather warm." In fact, he felt too warm. He was very taken with her and it was affecting him. "Well...I don't know if this would help or not, but..." What are you doing?! his rational mind screamed at him as he draped his arm across her shoulders and held her close to him. I don't know he answered himself, as he quickly rubbed her arm on the other side to warm it...
"Certainly, my dear." Wishes suddenly that his costume didn't require him to refrain from shaving for a week. Notices her blushing. "Is everything all right?"

His nervousness apparent for the first time behind his mask of the World's Greatest Criminal Mind, he replies "I'm afraid I'm not sure either, but perhaps, if we go together, side-by-side, we shall find something." He smiles at her, thinking to himself that she really does look very beautiful, and wonders if tonight is just tonight, or possibly the first of many. Don't think like that, he tells himself, or with your luck it'll never happen. Smiling warmly at her, he sets off with her to find the photographer.
He smiles. "Again," he said, "I try. You deserve it, I think. So...what do you want to do?"
"Yes, I'm well," he replied, "though I must say I too am a bit nervous. It's been a while since I've been out with a girl. I'm afraid I've lost a lot of confidence regarding my appeal to the opposite sex, especially since the last one I was with decided she no longer wanted me." Almost subconciously, he places his free hand on the one she has wrapped around his arm.
"Oh, hello..." JackS, shaking the hand of the person in the Sora outift, kind of unsure of the person's true gender, "I just don't usually like big crowds, especially when its mostly comprised of my own gender. I was teased as a child." His grip on Gharanth's arm unconciously tightens slightly.
Trying to hide his own blush with a coy smile, he replied "I do my best. You were, after all, nice enough to approach me. I should show you the best time I possibly can. By the way, how are you this evening?"
JackS smiled. His voice would remain for the night an imitation of the late Mr. Price, but his eyes held nothing but sincerity. "I think," he said as he took her hand and jumped down to the floor, "I should like that very much." He took a dramatic bow and kissed her hand.
Upon hearing the voice, opens the door to the cupbord he was hiding in the see his date standing there. Instantly, he puts on his very best Vincent Price impression "Well, I don't think I've ever seen a lovelier looking Cruella DeVille."
JackS puts his face in his hands and groans "Oh god, how did they find me? Now I've lead them all here. *sigh* Jeez, I'll never hear the end of it from Hannuah...I've ruined things." "Wait," he ponders, "it's not my fault. I came here to get away from them, I didn't ask them to come. I can't blame myself, and I hope nobody else does either..." "I wonder if garlic will repel them?" "Wait...I like garlic...that won't work then..."
Finds that the person who greeted him has disappeared. Sees more of the guys coming in. "Oh dear...they must have followed me..." Quietly slinks off in the direction of the kitchen to hide.
Begins to hum Sgt. Pepper. "Well, this isn't that much better, but at least it's quiet..." Twiddles his thumbs. Considers twiddling his toes like in that one song. Comes to the conclusion that A) it's physically impossible, and B) nobody wants to smell his feet anyway. "I wonder when Gharanth will show up? Nice of her, being my date and all. Doesn't happen that often..." Decides to think of something else fast and possibly catnap. hearing a greeting makes him jump about three feet into the air. Looks around and sees Mookie. Oh..." glances around nervously, "Sorry...hi there. How are you?"
"Thank you very much, but I'm sure just my being here is bother enough without me asking for refreshments. I'll just be here with my thoughts...thanks again..." Sits down and starts letting his thoughts run anywhere that will calm his jangled nerves.

Nervous, JackS struggled to find words. "Hi...umm...I hope I'm not being a bother, but I feel really uncomfortable around the other guys, so I was wondering if I could hang out here for a while? I promise I'll stay out of the way and be a perfect gentleman." Makes cute puppy dog eyes to garner sympathy.
JackS27, muttering to himself, holding his fake tail so it doesn't drag in the mud, tries to find his way to Hannuah's house. "I am not going to stay in a room with all those guys. I generally dislike other guys. I hope Hannuah doesn't mind me waiting with the girls and spending time with my date." He sighs "It's worth a try at any rate..." He gathers the last of his coruage and rings the doorbell, hoping to whatever deity is out there that he isn't forced to stay on the stoop with a black eye for the better part of the night.
