Where can I basically find a base for Base? Back to my Bass lessons.
Well... Kudos for the guts to not change the lyrics one iota. Comes off with a very "funny purist" essence. 0.0 By the way, going to leave this here: The music from "Mulan" was not written by Disney's usual: Alan Menken. But upon release, the most targeted area of negative responses was the music as it was "not memorable". I might just be speaking on my own behalf, but I've been trying to get all the music from this movie out of my head for thirteen years and to no avail; stick that in your pipe and smoke it, Movie Critics. Am I the only one? 0.o Btw, I have so much to say here as I do not currently have my laptop, so, ergo, I do not have Skype. I miss everyone! EDIT: 5:33 PM EST 08/16/13 Just printed out sheet music for "Reflection". Going to practice this some for Guitar, then I'll record it and It will be up in no time.
Gabi's nice little rendition brought it to my attention that "Reflections" from "Mulan" has been officially released as a Musical Mission song! Yay! Here's hoping for "Make a Man out of You" as a Solo or Group, and "A Girl Worth Fighting For" as a Group. "Bring Honor to Us All" is something of a Pipe dream, until maybe Ananta and Luna try some Musical Missions, as that's a group song and predominantly female. Anyway, Guys, don't be daunted that this song is written for higher voices and the lyrics are somewhat feminine; you CAN get away with singing this, and I will. I'm still toying with the lyrics so that everything clicks, since this song is actually somewhat of a challenge to translate, but the melody very much stays the same.
I am at your service, Commander! What are your orders, Commander BunBun? Adorable bunny, Hyuge! :3 Also, expect a painting soon! I got the part of Picasso for that play I spoke of, so I'll be doing a "Blue Period" sort of painting as an excuse to start painting, which I've always wanted to do.
Base gawked at the obtuse doorknob. Cramped, crouched over and far too close for comfort to the warmth of a girl and the contrasting cold of Krowley's suit, he stared at the talking doorknob with a blank expression. He had shaved his face while resting on the Land of Departure, which was unfortunate as this would be the time when stroking his jaw would seem necessary if not compulsory; unless of course the two words meant close to or the same thing. ("You're simply too big" is what the rather poignant portal had said.) "Was that a fat joke?" Base said with a monochromatic tone that fell upon the fact none of the three in that tiny room were evenly close to chubby; particularly Base who was quite gaunt.
Mulan- 1998, Krowley. You have it listed as the same year as "Alice in Wonderland", which is right for that film. I assume you have a lot on your mind. Which is why I have also gone to the trouble of making world pages for the three new worlds. I'll be working solely on Wonderland when I can, and if one is to go look, it is the page with the most work. I haven't been able to read any other worlds at all yet. ;~; If anyone else wants to work on Wonderland, go ahead, and get your Unbound Keyblade! Yay! As for the other pages: the work is already made! Get that Keyblade! Note: Better to say now who's predominantly working on which page so that others will know. Keep in mind: Wonderland is still an option, as I am going into college.
Here might be a particular challenge, if you so wish to take it: Base. For the image found on the wikia, presume suit pants and formal shoes, and there you have Sebastian Noble. I'd love to see the finished work of any characters in the RP, actually. I've grown very attached to this story and the characters therein; can't wait to read more of yours.
Such oddities abound that can confound the young mind, particulary in a slow descent when one begins to wonder about such subjects as Latitude and Longitude. Base slowly, ever so slowly, fell down the rabbit hole without a clue as to how or when he would ever come out again. Allegories aside, he was very literally falling down the curious, color-shifting rabbit hole with all manners of furniture falling in slow motion around him. It was only when he stopped descending that he discovered he was upside down, or that the room was upside down and he was right side up, and hanging by a bar in the wall. He corrected himself, or uncorrected himself if the room was topsy-turvy and not himself, and stood to his feet, surveying the area around him. In the matter of giving himself advice, Base was well-accomplished, but he seldom listened to it. It was not long, however, before he found Krowley and Luna both. "Curiousest indeed." He replied to Krowley's Curiouser remark. "Oddly though, I feel very...strangely at home here. It feels so... formulated. Proper but mad; structure but crumbling; sane and insane. It's a juxsaposition of paradoxes as much as me." He noticed Luna. "Sebastian Noble. Please, call me Base. Call me Freddy, Gaston, Pablo, Albert, Charles, or Lewis for that matter; it feels like anything goes in this atmosphere.
Can I have until Friday to make my Disembark post? I don't know if you've all been moving faster lately or I just don't have time anymore. X.X I'm willing to try to stick around, but if I'm left in the dust, then I won't be able to do much.
The word "Glide" wouldn't have worked, or at least, it wouldn't have been what worked. "Glide" was simply a way of getting the student to believe they were controlling the situation, which was the bottom line of what they needed to do. It had taken Base many times of saying "Glide" to believe he could use the glider, and then Yen Sid told him he didn't need the word; Ananta had done it without the word. He was impressed. "Good job. If you get it now, you'll get it later; trust me." He thought for a moment, then jumped into the seat of his glider. With a loud engine roar, he reared around (Cosmic dust spouted from the exhaust.) to the edge where he had been sitting. "Fancy a race to learn how to operate? We can sort out a few obstacles, I think; teach you all the basics."
"You have to have a strong will... just will it to be." Base raise his right arm straight out and with a burst of light, welcomed the new Unbound Keyblade he had attached to his belt while meditating on the wall. He did not strain under the weight of the heavy blade, but instead tossed it into the air with ease. He closed his eyes and just before the blade came bursting through his skull, it shifted into a motorbike-like vehicle that floated just above his black hair. The motor ran audibly as it revved into motion, and the whole of the richly designed craft glided to the ground, hovering ever so slightly, right in front of him. "I cannot give you the will." Base did his best impression of his own teacher, Yen Sid; quoting what he said exactly to him. "That you must do on your own. Saying the word "Glide", however, will most assuredly assist."
"Sebastian Noble, but call me Base, please." He was his suave, gentile self as he hopped from the flat concrete railing where he had sat. "You're trying to learn how to operate the glider, right? I can teach you, if you like. Master Yen Sid taught me, so I am sort of capable of teaching what I know." He had yet to see Master Yen Sid since the moment when the elder had sent the younger on his way to hurtle a long ways to the surface of Pachyderm Parade; and yet, he could feel the old wizard was near. Maybe, just maybe, he'd see him. Just maybe.
Base opened his eyes from out of his trance high above the rest of the world below. The opening had been prompted by a loud klunk nearby, and so he turned to look to see what was the matter. Once he saw Ananta in the midst of recovering from her self-inflicted blunder, he chortled and shook his head; 'Kind of like me, before Yen Sid showed me how to work this thing.' "Hey,... ummm... Miss? Do you need a hand with that?" He'd heard the word 'glider', so he knew what they were at.
Equipping Unbound, just to see how it feels. So far, Ferris Gear plays most to my Magical advantage, but I have to try other things. I already fixed my wikia page for it.
Zoro leaped through the trees like a mad Howler Monkey. He cared so little for rules or guidelines; he was his own man. Of course, he would fight for what he thought was right, but in such a way that suited him. So there, gliding from branch to branch without effort on his own part, Zoro made his way to the Kingdom of the East. There, in the canopy, he spotted a bear; a ginormous monstrosity that lumbered through a clearing, minding its own business. Zoro took out his bow and removed an arrow. He was ready to strike, when the bear saw him first, and charged the huntsman! Zoro acted quickly, but lost his bow and quiver in the process as both were caught on a low branch when he switched trees. The bear below crashed headlong into the tree, and the entire trunk shook with the tremendous force upon impact; green leaves departed from their branches in great numbers, and danced to the ground all around the bear. Shaking its mighty head vigorously, it again looked for Zoro, now weaponless, was forced to yet another tree when the bear reached its massive paw into the very tree he was in and displayed its enormity by showing it could reach him even in a tall tree. A few more swipes, and Zoro did not have time to respond; he was tossed headlong into the grass below with a hard crash, only to find the bear towering above him. It pinned him by the shoulder, not allowing him to escape. Zoro prepared for the worst, but it did not come; instead, he felt a release of pressure and the howl of a bear as though it was retreating. He heard the scream of a man, and heard the bear as it roared into the distance. Zoro opened his eyes to be met by a pair of imperials. Now, he preferred the bear... View attachment 36486
Base leaned against the stone railing overlooking a vast field on the other side, the stone edifice like a high battlement. This world, much like the last one, was so new and he had been tempted to simply find someone to tell him where to room; but instead, he'd just wandered around in the town, and around the training grounds. There, surrounded by training dummies, he already questioned if he truly felt at home anywhere else besides Theate, Mysterious Tower, and Pleasure Islands; maybe this was a new home for him, but he had been sorely tempted to open the book that had been a gift from one of the three good fairies, that he may go into the book and into the Metropolis of the Pleasure Islands. Still, he had to see this "Land of Departure" for all it's worth, and he found the setting quite serene and beautiful. He'd have to ask someone soon for a room, as he was getting tired, but, all the same, a little Rest and Relaxation was due; and could not be filled by merely sleeping. Pushing against the white, solid brick, Base heaved himself onto the wall and stood what felt like miles above silky green masses of grass that whisked in the wind, and twirled on their roots as though dancing together as one. He sat there, on the hard surface in the rays of the sun, locked in deep thought.
Corrupting the infinite HP wish: Fine, but your MP goes down, and never refills. I wish Donald would use Cure Magic or Potions BEFORE I use my own.
OOC: Reserved spot for Base. I can't afford to miss out on landing here.l
Krowley and Base: The Hipster Disney Team; going to worlds no one else wants to because the movie is too classic and awesome to be handled. B| I haven't been able to jump in anywhere since the departure and I'm stuck on what to write in. ;-; I may just have Base go into his book so he's not depending on any existing events nor other people in order to tell a small story. Also: Land of Dragons: Females must use blend to disguise themselves as MALES.... ?! W...t....actual....f...??!! On a brighter note, if this is a feature of the ability, this means Flora and Karina can...uh.... you know... procreate. Like, hold on, does this mean things are GROWN and things that are there DEFLATE?! This ability can turn a person into a freakin' animal, so I think it's safe to say they can (theoretically) change genders. AGGGHHH! I'm all for Transgender and Gender Identification, but I don't even think THIS falls under THAT; this is just flat out: Wut?
