That's very interesting! I'll have to check next time I start a new game or something. I don't think anyone drew it or it's anything to make theories over, just a fun little thing they stuck in there. Foreshadowing, perhaps.
Definitely. I've always thought of Kairi as a more magical being, sort of like Donald, because of the strength of her heart and all. I mean, look at my username.
Same here. I just watched what Riku did and copied him, and I make sure that I get ahead of him at the beginning so I can jump on the loose board near the start of the race and make him fall into the ocean *muahaha*. I hate him fighting, though. Even when you hit him with a combo he just rolls into a ball and unleashes a merciless counterattack. *sigh*
I do feel bad for the guy, especially when everything's happening to him and he has absolutely no idea what's going on. The worst is when he's seeing things like the train and the guy who stole the pouch and Hayner, Pence and Olette think he's going insane. I do agree with the fact that Axel should be pitied more. Poor guy sacrified so much for Roxas. :( He also did some good deeds in his life, even if he did some evil things as well (though I'm not sure if you can call it a life, but you know what I mean).
Woot! I am officially a part of the family...sweetness. ;) How is everyone?
Thanks! I'll do that now.
Yup. It's easy once you get the hang of it. One time I messed up though and I got so mad at Riku, lol.
I liked Sora's voice in the first one. His voice hadn't changed yet which showed how innocent he was in the first game. His voice deepens as he and the game mature, which I guess can be considered symbolism for how much growth he has to go through throughout the series.
The Kingdom Hearts series seems to forget about parents entirely. They're only really mentioned twice: when Sora's mom calls him for dinner, and when Riku says "We may never see our parents again". I'm sure Sora misses his family, though, but he seems to be closest to Riku and Kairi. I mean, he hangs out with them the most, and seems to have the fondest memories with them.
I know she's least popular, but Kairi is my favorite. I like how she manages to say pure and innocent in the midst of all the darkness.
I thought it was a unique and interesting name that I'd never heard of. It made me eager to continue with the game.
I think Sora is a likeable character because he has a good and strong heart, which is essential for the Keyblade master to have, and is very loyal. Yes he can sometimes be a little cocky and can make mistakes(which is good, it shows he's not perfect) but the fact that he sticks by his friends even when they let themself be consumed by darkness. He never turned his back on Riku, even when Riku attacked him in KH. He's also quirky and is sometimes a little slow (how did he not notice Mulan was a woman??) which people find amusing.
I would actually hate it if they teamed up with anybody else. I'm a Harry Potter nerd so that would be interesting, though I'm not so sure that would be a good idea. I can't really imagine Sora, Donald and Goofy hanging out with Harry, Ron and Hermione, as much as I love all those characters. XD
I can't really think of anybody I hate with a passion. I love Demyx, just not when I have to fight him. ^_^ Um, Oogie Boogie is pretty annoying. I hated when he returned in the second one for no apparent reason. Oh, Setzer's annoying! Fricking egotistical!
Umm, hi. *waves* I'm reeaal new to the site, soo do you mind if I join this family? Let me think of a title. How about... The Innocent Sister?
I definitely agree with you when it comes to the Disney integration issue. In the last game they had much, much more to do with the central plot, what with the seven princesses being stolen and all of that. However, in KH2, sitting through the Pirates of the Carribean world was so boring. I was watching the cutscenes thinking, "If I wanted to see this, I would have watched the movie." The only Organization Members that showed up in Disney Worlds were Demyx (which didn't count because that was Olympus Coliseum and all you did was destroy the water dancers) and Xaldin. I think if all of the Disney Worlds had been like the Beast's castle, what with Xaldin invading, it would have made for a much better plot. KH2 has some better aspects, though, such as the camera angles (I'm currently re-playing both KH and KH2 and the camera angles in KH are excruciating) and the fighting techniques. I thought the action commands made the battles a lot cooler and more interesting, as well as the Drive modes. One more thing that does bug me about KH2, though: Uh, please be creative and don't bring old antagonists back to life (such as Oogie Boogie and Maleficent). That's just redundant.
Kairi, most definitely. She can kick butt if you just ask her to. ;)
I salute you for your patience. *salutes* Heh, Kairi must have been thinking "Where the crap is he with those provisions!?"
Heh, thanks ^_^. I was just thinking of all the worlds, the fact that Sora's name translates to "sky", and how the adventure started at "Destiny Islands"...
I'm guessing Kairi is a name Nomura made up? Or is it derived from an existing name? I'm just happy cuz Kairi is my favorite character and my name means sea in Welsh. ^_^
