    traps from the hand!
    Atora the fascinating fiend.

This card is unaffected by the effects of "Hole" and "Trap Hole" Normal Trap Cards, except "Dark Trap Hole". While this card is face-up on the field, you can activate "Hole" and "Trap Hole" cards from your hand, except "Dark Trap Hole". The activations and effects of Normal Trap Cards you control cannot be negated.

and that's all for my weekly report.

but LaDD chains to the first activated effect, and the counter trap cannot chain to LaDD to negate something else.

there is a difference between good and broken. LaDD is good, but surely isn't broken. if he was, Wisel would be just as much a broken card as LaDD is. Wisel + five face-downs. negate one spell, five counter traps.

summon dodger, use Gallis, LaDD negates, use Gallis, LaDD negates, use Gallis, LaDD negates, use Gallis again, LaDD negates. LaDD @ 800 atk. *hand 4*
kill LaDD. their field blows up. gg.

I was thinking since the then part of the effect is connected to the first discarding effect, the entire effect cannot activate. Troll would see it and go "draw effect. can't activate."
I don't really see how morphing's effect is any different from CD except morphing always has you draw five.. but if morphing really can discard without drawing, there's always this :P

although you could just prohibit that too..

That is, until your opponent points out how you can't play card destruction because Troll :p
oh, and even if you could, you can only end up with three face-downs, a face-down morphing jar, and Rai-Oh with that move. set morphing> prohibit veiler> set three face-downs> book of taiyou> draw five> Troll & Lock> double summon> Rai-Oh> BoM morphing> activate CD.
I guess you can just set two more face-downs before CD instead though.

Yes, all traps. perhaps even ban the more powerful ones.
I'm also thinking Droll & Lock Bird may be our ultimate game balancer. having it limited will indeed stop first turn fields ending up with five monsters, five face-downs, and a field spell.. plus six cards in hand.

but Jaden.. what you fear isn't LaDD, but the face-downs themselves. LaDD alone would be easy to get around, but five face-downs alone with a monster is five negations and maybe a spell speed two monster effect. If Quasar and five face-downs is basically the same thing, LaDD isn't the problem. it's the face-downs.
I vote to massively hit all traps.

*tries hard to restrain himself on the LaDD subject*[DOUBLEPOST=1364707677][/DOUBLEPOST]can't.. hold it..[DOUBLEPOST=1364709130][/DOUBLEPOST]
You: LaDD is broken in non-random. should be banned. those face-downs could be anything.
Me: Quasar with five face-downs is basically the same thing and it's not banned.
You: Quasar doesn't deserve a ban.
Me: you have got to be trolling me..

As you said in the above post, face-downs can be anything. I'm not sure why you don't see that in Quasar and five face-downs. The only reason I'm seeing as to why you banned LaDD was because of how it's hard to get around with five face-downs behind it, but the same thing applies for Quasar and five face-downs as well. If this is truly why you banned LaDD, Quasar should be banned as well or the ban list just doesn't make sense.
Anyway, I agree with Fred. if we take out the danger of traps, both Quasar and LaDD would both be fair in this arena. In fact, if we lowered the amount of powerful traps, it may be closer to the anime as you almost never see a character set five face-downs in it >.>
Perhaps if we got rid of almost all the powerful traps, it may be fun just spamming monster effects and spells with the occasion of situational-y traps.
If your goal is really to imitate dueling in the anime, there really shouldn't be such powerful costless traps. I hardly, if ever, see someone summon their ace monster in the anime and had it be hit with BTH or solemn.[DOUBLEPOST=1364710158][/DOUBLEPOST]
    I already kinda did..
but aside from that, please tell me how the heck Quasar and five face-downs is beaten in non-random.

what you can do is chain different dimension burial and send it to the grave :P but that would still mean two cards.

    maybe you have, but..
calls us "weaboos" who prefer the Japanese versions>uses Japanese names and doesn't have a problem with it.
    when I see this, I can't help but think there's a contradiction.[DOUBLEPOST=1364582883][/DOUBLEPOST]
Because when I literally translate Ichigo's name, he would be strawberry. why don't they do that? because it sounds better untranslated.

Edit: @ the voice acting part
that's an okay reason to prefer the dubbed version. I was just pointing out how what you're doing now kinda seems like it contradicts to what you said before.

    @ Jaden
I just noticed how while you claim to not like subbed anime and prefer the dubbed, you don't complain about how bleach uses Japanese names. I guess it would sound weird if I literally translated their names though, but.. still.

also, use spoiler tags please >.> it looks like all this is just spam. (although this is the "spam zone" for a reason, I guess.)

I'd rather keep getting triggers, as if I just keep getting draw triggers they'd give me two extra cards for shields during twin drive. also, all critical triggers have 10k shield, which is usually double that of which a non-trigger has. same with heal triggers.
regardless of whether or not you can only twin drive once per turn, if you have a vanguard with a +2 critical stand again.. three more damage is possible on the same turn. although I guess the opposing player can just try blocking it again.. you can probably get around 40k power if you choose whatever you draw, drive check, and damage check.

Edit: I swore they had a card that didn't say it lost its twin drive ability after re-standing though..
