I love how everyone use the "UNITE >D" thing all over, since it originally was the "SIIIIIIIIISTAHS UNITE >D" phrase thingy. Or well, love and love, more like I like how it's stuck with everyone x)

Well I can tell you a bit about Norway.

    The weather:
It goes with the seasons, in winter everyone seem to think it's ridicilously cold here. It's not. It's cold, it snows, but it's not that bad to be outside if you dress well. But it snows, a lot. Spring is spring, the snow melts, the temperature is rising,in summer it's sunny pretty much all the time. Especially around august it gets really hot and there are very few rainy days. Autumn is wet. All the leaves fall, it rains but there are also some days of sun. So yeah, the weater just follow the seasons.

    The Economy:
Norway is, unlike most of the world barely touched by the financial crisis. The country has many oil resources, fishing areas and are doing a lot of good reasearch on renweing energy sources (like water). So that pretty much makes the economy stabile. The crisis is a lot on the news, but it barely effects the country, there has been a tiny bit of a price rise in some areas, but we're talking about like a dollar here. And the gas prices has gone a bit up, even with the oil funds. The only place where it has been really noticeable is the property market.

    Anything bad:
Umm, well I suppose you're not a father yet so little kindergarden space hardly concerns you xD And well let's see, it's expensive here. One dollar is like 6-7 norwegian kroner. If you're a student, it can be hard if you have no money support.
As for crime rates, there are some drug use, but I've been in the city with the second highest drug rate, I've even lived there and it's not something I'd even know of if it wasn't on the news. In other words, hardly visable. It's mostly in the capital Oslo, that drugs and a lot of gang criminality and prostitution is going on. Most deaths are by knife stabbing I suppose, at least that's what it is most of on the news. The hardest thing I would believe is that if you want to become a norwegian citizen, and get a norwegian passport it can be very hard getting an asylum. It all depends on what your reason for wanting to live here is. If you on the other hand want to stay American, but still live in Norway that shouldn't be too hard.

    Anything good:
It is a very good country, with high living standards, a high living age, a modern good society and a lot to do. A lot of lovely nature and it's something for about everyone. You can live in the city, you can live on the countryside or somewhere in between. Norway isn't such a big country, but the population are not that big so it's more than enough space so you can chose what lifestyle that suits you, as for schools it's many options. Norway has a lot of good schools you can study at and get a proper education. I dunno what age you are so I don't know how relevant that is to you.

Want to know anything else, just ask me.

Also, I wouldn't recommend you to move to Iceland like it's suggested. The whole contry has gone bankrupt, the economy has crashed and the citizens are attacking their goverment and a lot of people, and I mean a lot, I can probably even say most people has lost their jobs. I know all I've said about Iceland sound extremely narrow, and I have no hate against the country or anything and probably there still are some good places to live there. But it's not that many, it's one of that countries that got severely damaged during the crisis. But I do believe they are starting to get a little help now and are trying to establish something.
