A bright light began to flare around Zack. Aerith looked around, worried. "Zack, what's happening?" she exclaimed, clutching Zack's sweater. "I don't know!" Zack replied, "I'll come back, Aerith! I promise!" The light blinded him and he lost consciousness. Zack splashed down into the sea water. Zack sank to the sandy bottom, weighed down by his clothes. He regained consciousness, panicking as he found himself immersed in water. Zack kicked and flailed for a moment before coordinating himself and swimming to the surface. He surfaced in a spray of water, his two front-facing hair spikes plastered across his face. Zack spat sea water out of his mouth and brushed hair from his eyes. There was a group of people on the shore of what looked like a tropical island. "Hey!" Zack called, swimming breaststroke to the shore, standing up and wading as soon as he could stand. He squelched up the sandy beach, water leaking from his boots. Zack wrung water from his sweater. "Anybody mind telling me what's going on?" Zack asked. With a mental curse he realized that the Buster Sword was back at the town. He was weaponless.
OoC: Y'know, Sora could've used the hovering Keyblades to, I dunno, attack Xigbar or something. DON'T QUESTION ME! >: o
Aerith was walking through the Borough, planning to talk to Merlin. As she walked through the crowd of people, she stopped and froze. Walking pruposefully through the crowded streets was a man she had thought she would never see again. Zack Fair, jet-black hair as spiky as always, walked past Aerith on the other side of the street. Aerith did a double-take. She did not just see her dead boyfriend. When she looked again, Zack was gone. Something made Zack turn. Call it sixth sense, call it destiny's force, he turned. He saw a Cetra, her brunette hair bound in a ponytail with a pink ribbon. A ribbon he had bought for her. Zack's face immediately lit up, and he charged through the crowd towards her, ignoring the indignant cries of the people he knocked over. "AERITH!" Zack yelled joyfully. Aerith turned, and saw Zack running towards her, arms open. Zack barreled into her, wrapping his arms around her. She return the hug with just as much enthusiasm. "Zack, I thought you were dead!" she whispered, her eyes burning uncontrollably. "I'm back, Aerith," Zack answered, "and I promise I won't let you down again." OoC: So, is Aerith in on the whole KH3 thing? Will she just teleport Zack?
OoC: Hehehe, I've been wanting to do that since Xigbar tied Kairi to the rollercoaster track :3
Zack entered the town. Of course, he had no idea that it was Radient Garden. Aerith still had no idea that he was alive, and if she had there would definately have been hundreds of letters detailing the world. As it was, Zack was completely clueless. He saw a moogle shop and ran over. "What do you need, kupo?" it asked. "Could you fix this?" Zack asked, showing it the Buster Sword, "It's been unused a while and I'd like it in fighting shape." "Sure, kupo." "Hey, what's this place called?" Zack asked. "Radiant garden, kupo." The moogle answered. Zack gave the moogle some munny and walked off. Maybe if he found the mayor of this town or something he'd be able to find out how he got here and how to get home.
Who says it need sot be 'realistic' to be a graphics powerhouse? Games like Agency, Team Fortress 2 and LittleBigPlanet look eye-popping without having 'realistic' graphics like Devil May Cry 4, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune or Grand Theft Auto 4
A lonely clifftop, overlooking Midgar. All around was nothing but desolate wasteland, brown, dusty and dead. A lone man on a motorbike rode up to the ridge and stopped. He dismounted and walked to the edge, seemingly admiring the view. He looked to his left and noticed a huge sword impaled in the ground near the edge. He approached it. "Angeal wouldn't have liked this," the man said to himself, "But thanks anyway. Sorry Cloud, but I'm going to need this." He grasped the handle of the Buster Sword and wrenched it from the ground in a shower of dirt clods. He took off his sunglasses and bike helmet, inspecting the damage. Zack sighed, "I guess I have some cleaning to do back at Midgar." Zack got back onto his bike and set off back towards Midgar, the Buster Sword slung across his back. His bike threw up storms of dust in the wasteland, the sky overcast and gray. Suddenly, something seemed wrong. Zack drew his old sword just in case. A Neoshadow dived for Zack. He swiped at it and the Heartless disintegrated in mid-air. Zack looked around, watching as running Heartless materialized all around him. Two Assault Riders boxed him in, riding parrallel, and lunged at the same time. Zack leaned back in his seat as both spears crossed in front of his face. Zack knocked the weapons away with his sword, sharply turning right and destroying the Assault Rider to his right with a powerful slash. He was now head off at a tangent from his original destination. He looked back to check that the other Assault rider was behind, and when he looked back another materialized in front of him. Reacting instinctively, Zack wrenched the bike hard to the left, leaning almost completely to the left and stamping on the handbrake as he did so. The bike screeched across the dirt, now shooting towards the Assault Rider at a horizontal angle. The bike's spinning wheels cracked the Rider's front legs, sending the large Heartless spinning into the air. Zack looked around. No more Heartless. He could return to Midgar. Zack steered his bike back to the city. A sword swung from nowhere. Zack raised his own to block it, but the enemy weapon simply sheared through it. Zack dropped the useless blade, only just managing to avoid the rest of the blow. Zack swerved his bike aside and looked at his new enemy. It was an Invisible, humanoid in shape with wings and a huge sword. It swooped towards him, ready for another strike. Zack stood up, ready to face the strike. Clang. Heartless blade met Buster Sword. The force being applied to the lock caused the bike beneath Zack's feet to spin out of control. Zack broke the lock and, realizing the bike was uncontrollable, leaped towards the Invisible. He cut through it in a single powerful slice, the two halves dropping to earth. Zack landed gracefully and turned. Row upon row of Heartless confronted him, more still appearing even now. Invisibles, Angels, Assault Riders, Neoshadows, powerful Heartless. Zack backed up, Buster Sword held ready. There was a sound behind him, like a lot of air displaced. Zack spun to deflect a blow, only seeing a swirling portal of Darkness. There were Heartless behind him too, but not in the portal. Zack took another look at his options. "Anywhere's better than here," he decided, running into the Dark portal. Zack arrived at his destination. He stepped out onto a blue stone cliff. Behind him, he heard air displaced again and knew that the portal had disappeared. Zack sheathed the Buster Sword and had a look at his surroundings. He was standing atop a huge blue cliff, overlooking a town. A partially-reconstructed castle overlooked the town, and beyond he could see what looked like a waterfall. "Well, better have a look around," Zack said to himself, beginning the climb down.
Roxas had been about to help, but as Sora and Riku battled he really appreciated how skilled they were. Roxas remembered his own duel with Sora. Roxas dashed towards Sora, Keyblades ready to strike through him. Sora brought his own Keyblade up in a vicious uppercut, smashing both Oathkeeper and Oblivion into the air. They spiralled through the blank, dark sky of the Station of Awakening. "Give me strength!" Sora yelled, holding his free hand high. The Keyblades responded, spiralling down to hover behind him in a X shape. When Sora resumed the fight, the Keyblades added their own powers to the mix until Roxas was able to steal them again. "Sora, here!" Roxas called and hurled his Keyblades into the air. OoC: Hint hint?
Ho...Ly...Shiitake Mushrooms. That was EPIC! Cloud was just as powerful as he should have been, though a bit less acrobatic. Tifa's block gave me flashbacks to Dragon Ball Z and Cloud used Omnislash v5! W00T!
Quick bumbptacular post because I want this necroed damnit! >: o Sephiroth strode silently through the Dark City, Masamune held reversed in his right hand. I should not have let them inconvenience me, Sephiroth thought, I know Cloud is here. Someone whistled behind him. Sephiroth stopped. "Hello, Sephiroth," the person behind him said, "You may not know me, but I have an offer for you." Sephiroth smiled patronisingly, "Is that so?" Sephiroth spun and drew Masamune, striking down. There was the clash of metal on metal, and the katana was stopped. By a mere pen? Sephiroth's eyebrows met in annoyance and Yaoi Sue smiled. "That's right, Sephy-kun. I have a plan, and I want you in on it," Yaoi continued. Sephiroth grunted. "Oh, don't you know? I'm Yaoi Sue. I can control ANY canon character, whoever they are, and bend them to my will. isn't it delightful?" Yaoi explained happily, "But I knwo you'll want to help me. Help me, and not only do you get Cloud, you get Sora, Riku, Kairi and Zack." Sephiroth removed Masamune from the weapon lock, slowly returning it to its 'sheathed' position in his right hand, "I'm listening..."
Roxas entered Saix's room in time to see Saix beating up Riku. "Is that all you'e got?" Roxas called, "Come on Riku, I thought you were stronger than that!" With that he dashed towards Saix, slashing him six times and hopped back. He rested the tips of his Keyblades on the ground and dashed at Saix with enough force to knock him over.
Riku wins simply because he has more functions than other party members. Not only does Riku have one of the best Limits in the game, he can fully heal Sora without a potion, guard him from combos and stack extra damage onto Sora's finishers. Riku all the way.
OMFG, Soranspartanti PMed me to be Sora, but I was beaten! CURSES! Hey, I'm sort of character-creativity-dry at the moment, so could I join as Zack Fair? He's sort of my character-of-the-month. If I need to PM you his profile or anything just tell me. This looks good! LawlDemoPost: Zack stood in the boiling sun, the Buster Sword slung across his back. All around him was nothing but dry, dusty, dead soil. The air above the ground wavered in the heat. Before him stood hundreds of Shinra soldiers, each levelling their own rifle at him. Row upon row of blank, impassive visors stared at him. Zack could even spot a helicopter or two over the ridge. Zack slowly drew the Buster Sword, remembering Angeal's words to him. "Hold on to your dreams," Zack muttered, the flat side of the sword pressed against his forehead, "Rember your honour." He lowered the sword and looked at the soldiers again. He thought of Aerith, Cloud, Sephiroth, Genesis, Angeal, Tseng, Cissnei... all of them people important to him. "The price of freedom sure is steep," Zack observed, readying the Buster sword. At once, with a great cry, he charged the army, his boots kicking up great waves of dust. Behind him Cloud lay as if dead, depending on him. "I won't let you down!" Zack promised as he charged. This was his end. But for Cloud, it was a beginning. Did I became a hero? Zack wondered. OoC: Oh by the way, LIGHT CONQUERS ALL!
"Riku!" Roxas called as Riku was pulled into Saix's room. He beat the blue portal in vain, trying to enter. Roxas turned and saw hundreds of Neoshadows solidifying from the ground. Roxas remembered the first time he met Riku. "I don't have time for you," Roxas said, spinning his Keyblades. He held them close. "Take that!" Roxas yelled, slashing his Keyblades out. Black and white arrows of energy circled him in a wide ring, blasting the Neoshadows away. Roxas searched for an exit. He almost facepalmed as he realized something. "Keyblade, it unlocks things," Roxas muttered. He pointed Oblivion at Saix's portal. The Keyblade seemed to sense Riku's presence and a stream of light blasted the portal, ripping the barrier apart. Roxas raced in.
Holy shizzle, Cloud's about to fight. And if the epicness of the Sora vs Riku fight is anything to go by, it will be AWESOME. I just hope with all my heart that Cloud uses the different First Tsurugai blades.
"An Soul Edge and Soul Calibur, huh?" Dante asked as he took a bite of pizza. "Supposedly two incredibly powerful swords, one of them evil and one of them good," Lady confirmed, leaning over the desk at Dante, "The Soul Edge was almost destroyed hundreds of years ago, but it possessed the body of a knight and turned him into the Azure Nightmare-" "Hold on a second, it turned him into a 'nightmare'?" Dante cut Lady off, "You're saying that there's a sword - two swords - that are just as powerful as my dad's?" Dante shoved the rest of the slice into his mouth and added with his mouth full; "Yeah, right." "There have been sightings," Lady argued, "wierd stories of people going missing. You know how they work." Dante spread his arms, indicating his office filled with records of his achievements, not to mention the Sparda hanging from the wall behind him, "Then I'll just wait for a job so I can send this third-rate demon straight to-" Ring ring... Dante and Lady glanced at each other. He slammed the heel of his boot into the top of the desk, sending the reciever of the old dial phone spinning into the air. Dante shot out a hand and grabbed it as it flew past his ear. "Devil May Cry?" Dante answered. As the person calling spoke a grin grew wider and wider on Dante's face. "I'll be right there," Dante slammed the phone down and stood up. Lady looked at him questioningly, "Our mystery demon?" Dante nodded, sheathing Rebellion across his back and holstering Ebony & Ivory. He twitched his coat, causing it to billow dramatically and strode towards the front door. Lady was in his path. "I'm coming along too," Lady said without possibility for argument. "Do what you want," Dante brushed her off, sidestepping the woman, "But don't expect to get paid." The two stood before the office doors. "Ok, you ready?" Dante asked Lady and turned the handle. It wouldn't budge. Dante struggled with it and swore. Lady hid a chuckle. Dante took a step back and with a mighty kick blew the double-doors off their hinges. "Come on babe, let's rock!"
Roxas stepped out of the Dark Portal, both Keyblades ready. "Surprised, Saix?" he asked.
OoC: Mmkay, let' see if Roxas can find ya. IC: Roxas groaned, slowly regaining consciousness. In all the excitement he had been knocked out. Left alone in the deserted amusement park, Roxas cursed. They were gone now and he had no idea how to find them! There was a flash of light. Roxas shielded his eyes. When he dropped his hands, the Keyblades Oathkeeper and Oblivion were hovering before him. Their keychains were entwined and both blades pointed in the same directon. "Oathkeeper for Kairi," Roxas muttered, "and Oblivion for Riku." He raised his hand. A Dark Portal flashed into existance where the keyblades had been pointing. Roxas strode towards the portal, grabbing Oathkeeper and Oblivion as he went. He shouldered Oblivion. "I guess it's time to crash the party!"
OoC: Right dudes ands dudettes, I've been gone due to temporary death-by-posting-exhaustion. If it's not much to ask, could we please try to slow down and put more quality than quantity? So, Roxas had been absent from the story, could someone throw up an idea of how Roxas could jump back in and explain his absence?
OMFG MUST HAVE DANTE! And Roxas. I would have Nero as well, but... no go there. And possibly Lady as well? Then I could have some regular domestic violence against Dante :D Dante: That's it, you're so getting a 'jackpot'. Lady: PH34R T4H C4N0N!
