The story starts right after Sora received a letter from the King (Mickey) about a sudden corruption in his world after he restored it when Xehanort's Heartless tried to obtain Kingdom Hearts (KH1 ending). Sora was sent by train to the desert city of Lior alongside Donald and Goofy to start investigating the sudden change of his world.
I'm rooting for Golbez and Sher Khan for this one!
