Irrelevant but I think that the test option in the plugins is completely useless, it will only give you an error if the plugin is not loaded right? Even if it doesn't work it will still show you no errors in the test. Is that true or false? 'Cause that's what I heard.

Well it's probably yahoo... that new service of theirs is really buggy. I don't see what's wrong with the old one... they just put the same thing with flash buttons and sucky programming.

DOS attacks ain't that simple actually, each person doesn't have only one connection to the site- each person is making thousands of connections when he wants to attack like that (using various tools). So thousands of connections x many people x a long time = overloading? No not really, overloading is a simple term used when there are too many users at once, it doesn't necesserily mean successful ddos attack. A dos attack does more than just overloading the server, it just breaks it. The result ranges from running out of bandwidth from the host (don't be fooled it's a serious problem) to breaking the CPU cores or other hardware parts that just cant be fixed and need replacement. That's why noone can really tell in how long it will be back up, it could be hours or days depending on the damage.
A successful dos attack doesn't mean that when it's over everything will go back to normal because the traffic and connections are normal again. If that was the case then noone would bother using dos attacks. The purpose is to damage the system.

There are ways to prevent dos attacks though, if you're prepared. But I'll keep those to myself.

I think I've seen enough posts saying bunch of bugs, many bugs, tons of bugs, lots of bugs etc. Chill, it ain't a piece of crap- it's a decent piece of software. In fact previous bugs have already been fixed, and the existing ones have not been noted on all sites that are using it anyways.

I believe the speed that the messages go through depends on the server and differ on every site.
And also I'm sure misty and co. could make it look prettier than the default- change sizes colours fonts etc.

Dont forget that cool option in the general settings in your usercp that allows you to have autopm enabled or diasbled.
It doesn't work but who cares... it's cool.
